Need help, Microsoft Fix it does not help. Running Win. XP Pro 2002 SP 3. I have already installed the "difficulty" to play videos

I have already installed the Microsoft 'Fix It' to play videos
and breaks down twice already and he did nothing for the problem.  I tried
to download the upgrade Flash player three times and nothing happened.  He
would not download on my computer at all.  Yes, I use Internet
Explorer 8.  I do not use any player to play the video, any site with video on this topic
or YouTube or anything with the video crashes the system.  Did I mention my
System. is Windows XP Professional version 2002 Service pack 3 and Internet
Explorer v. 8?  Help, please.

Cheap flight,

Guess what?  After writing the message that it wouldn't let me download the new drivers, I thought I'd go straight to ATI/AMD to see if I could download a new graphics adapter from them directly.  I did, and Voila!  computer running better, I can view videos now, and even, to my amazement, my wife Ipad becomes wiFi again.  I don't know why a new graphics driver would do all that but somehow it makes.  So, your advice worked quite well.  Also, I reduced my refresh rate slightly.  Maybe it helped a bit as well.

Thank you!

  • Microsoft 'Fix it' will not download/run/save

    Hello

Microsoft 'Fix it' will not download, Vista SP1 32, running with the Defender, basics of security, AVG 9. and Win firewall. I added the site as exceptions on IE etc, but I can't get the .exe to others... BECAUSE IT WON'T SAVE TO THE OFFICE OR TO RUN!

    Help please

    Hello

You shouldn't run MSE with a complete other antivirus. And Defender is disabled by MSE as it does
the same function for spyware and antivirus adds.

What Fix - it you try to run? What is the problem?

AVG is probably the primary cause. I would uninstall it by using the removal tool or Special Instructions
from their site - AVG 9 is causing many questions. Usually best to disable as much as possible before
the abduction. Also download but do not install the replacements until after the deletion is completed
and a reboot. Use the method below to all in the right order.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN

    -------------------------------------------------

Here's what I use and recommend:

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with everything I threw at them.
Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven very reliable and compatible.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except away from Standard, Web and network is working.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(Sometimes you have to temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom right of IE)

Avast - stop home - free - all shields you do no need except leave Standard, Web and network running.
(Double-click the blue icon - details look OK. - upper left Shields - those that you do not cancel).
    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - Home - small, fast, exceptional CLOUD free protection, working with other security programs. It comes
a scan only, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something to come back here or use Google to see how to remove.

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever suspect malware, and that would be unusual with
Avast and Prevx running except a low occasional (not much), updated cookie and then run it as
a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

Your router may need a firmware update, but that would probably not produce
bluescreens. And the rest can be processed after that AVG is out of the picture.

    I hope this helps.

What can I do else?

    Hello

    (1) have you made changes before the start of this issue?

    (2) have what program you tried to install?

    (3) you are able to install any other software on your computer?

    (4) what fix - it you try to run?

This occurs if the filevbscript.dll runtime script is not properly registered in the system.

Try the steps below and check if you are able to run the Microsoft fixit.

    a. click the Start button, type cmd. In the result of the research with the right button on cmd and select run as administrator.

    b. type cd %windir%\system 32 (Note: there is a space between the system and 32) and press ENTER.

    c. type regsvr32 vbscript.dll in the command prompt, and then press ENTER.

    d. type regsvr32 jscript.dll in command prompt, and then press ENTER.

If the registration was successful, you should now see the following message is displayed:

    DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll successful.

    e. now, try to run the Microsoft fixit.

  • Microsoft Fix It does not work

    Hello

I am having some problems with my operating system. I decided to run the Microsoft Fix it Automated Troubleshooting Services. I ran the installer and then he "Windows PowerShell is required before continuing. He gave me 2 options 'Install Windows PowerShell 1.0' or 'ignore this installation and Microsoft Fix it diagnosis.' I clicked on install PowerShell. Then the install box froze (not responding) and then he returned to normal with 2 options. Its like I never clicked on anything whatsoever. So I clicked on install PowerShell again, but it still has the same, would not do something.

    How to run the program?

  • Fan of Satellite U500 - 11 c sometimes does not start running Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

I have two Toshiba Satellite U500 - 11 c on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Sometimes, after a new start of Windows, the fans start and just run a few seconds sometimes. When this occurs, the CPU temperature gets very hot (do not know exactly how much). I found a way to return to a behavious normal just unplug the power cable and reconnect it just a second or two after.

Two laptop computers have the latest Bios and drivers of Toshiba. Somehow, it's the same behavious as under Linux.

With these experiences, I just thought that Toshiba laptop are not well properly handle ACPI Fans and tempartures. Is it really inevitable?

I hope that this feedback can help...

    Hi mate

Cooling modules are controlled by the fan which is stored in the BIOS table.
Fan table contains details and information when and how fast a fans should run.

Besides computers laptop Toshiba supports protection against overheating. This protection monitors the temperature, and if the temperature is too high, the laptop turns off automatically.

If the laptop does not turn off automatically then I suppose that the temperature is not too high

  • Microphone does not work with Win 8 Pro (driver issue)

I just bought a new PC with Windows 8 pro and the following technical details:

    Motherboard: GA - X 79 - UP4
    CPU: Intel I7 - 3930K
    Graphics card: Nvidea Geforce GTX670

The Microphone plugged into the port back does not work and produces his scrambled a lot like a warped computer extreme voices and is extremely soft at the same time. Re-install the original drivers and try to obtain new did not help anything.

To prove any wrong material, I then removed the hardrive where victory 8 has been installed and installed a new version of Windows 7 Ultimate on a new hardrive and here evrything works without any worries. Probably, this proves that it is certainly a driver problem.
Also, what about this is that Windows 8 has crashed several times already by activating the "speaker" icon.

    Any help would be apreashiated

I actually solved the problem by updating the bios of the motherboard that was sugested to me by the Gigabyte support.

  • vmnetcfg does not work on Win 7 Pro 64 bit host

Hi, I am trying to configure my Ubuntu 10.04 guest to deck 1 to my adapter network card on the host computer's wireless and fill one for my host's ethernet card, but I am unable to run vmnetcfg on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit host.

I downloaded VMware-player - 3.1.2 - 301548.exe the site of vmware yesterday and checked out vmnetcfg.exe of network.cab as described in many places on the web, place it in the VMware Player directory and ran it.  She ran in the background for a few seconds, then closed.  It does not open the window of GUI at all, but the mouse pointer change to the working in background pointer for a few seconds, and vmnetcfg.exe appears in the list of processes in the Windows Task Manager.

At first I thought that maybe there was a conflict between slightly different versions, so I uninstalled VMware player (maybe v3.1.1) and reinstalled with the new configuration file, that I had just downloaded.  After you have copied vmnetcfg in the VMware Player directory, it still didn't work.  Same symptoms.

The configuration that I'm trying to achieve is seems to be simple if I can't get vmnetcfg to work.  If anyone has experienced this problem or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

    Thank you

    Jim

    Tip:
Uninstall VMplayer - download Workstation 7.0.1 instead and use without a license.

Same functionality as VMplayer but then essential tools like vmnetcfg.exe or vmware-vdiskmanager are installed properly

  • My browser does not work and I can't close it to reinstall. I installed the updates and now I have this problem.

I put the security update, and now my browser does not work. I have a white screen which is partly black and I can not close even to uninstall and reinstall. What should I do?

Yes, confirm this answer of philipp is correct for this problem, the problem is the graphics card intel hd3000 with an old driver current, the easy way is to disable hardware acceleration,... to be honest... I think that workaround and lose all the benefits of hardware acceleration.

    Thank you

  • Windows Update does not work on Win 7 Pro X220T

I'm updating with Windows Update.  When I click on control of updates, I get the following error message:

"The Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running."  You may have to restart your computer. »

Several reboots do nothing.  Enter the watch Services that Udate Windows is launched and running.

It has been like this for several weeks.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?  TIA!

I found a simple solution on the Microsoft Web site.  It is apparently a common problem.

Solution is to delete the content of the C:\windows\SofwareDistribution folder and restart.  Widows Update works now, although he will respond as if Windows has never been updated.

Apparently, something in this folder is corrupted.
