  It takes the right drivers for hp w2558hc monitor, is the web cam and microphone and other devices. Now what a windows MS7 is incorrect and when the pc doc runs it says it devive pilot problesm we tried to remove the drivers, that it doesn't always, the only way to solve this is unplu cable webcam, while the device driver goes.  It was working OK in vista and when hp gave me free ms7 upgrade, when the errors started. I still have the thing he had trouble even on vista because of the blue projection. MICROSOFT and HP has to happen to get together and put the correct drivers MS7 or update the old was the last time, she was last updated 2006.  They sstesm now I have is a 64-bit MS7, we tried everything. It works but it does not just because of the problem of driver and the only way to remedy to the webcam cable monitor unplu when not in service.  It gives you 3 errors and it organizations all the internal features of this monitor as a web cam, mic. any suggestions out there?

  Looks like you have made incorrect changes in system configuration utility.

  See the Microsoft articles below to solve the problem by installing the recovery console and use the Bootcfg.exe tool to rebuild the Boot.ini file.

• Help! -Live Web Cam Chat in an E-Learning Session of Captivate

  I really hope that someone can help me with this one.  I do an e-learning session in Adobe Captivate, which must contain a live cam on the web chat.  I was thinking about creating a flash video to record the live web cam chat, but have no idea how do.  Unfortunately it is a skill that I have not had the opportunity to learn and have never had to do this before.  Its very new and advanced for me!

  Very well. Gotcha!

  To start, you will not want to Captivate allows to capture Web Chat. I recently tried some full motion using Captivate 4 and it is rarely going to give you anything remotely close to what you want. So, you will need investigating another software to capture Web Cam stuff.

  May investigate another Adobe called Visual Communicatorproduct.

  Once you get something that is capable of capturing the webcam, it should spit back a file in format FLV or SWF output. You would then drop the FLV into Captivate. (Or present it in a frame on a web page).

  Please use the forum for Support of Vista,

  Windows Media Center and DVD Maker is part of the Vista installation.  You can click Start, type in the area of research, programs and features.
  Open it and click on turn Windows features on / off on the left side.  In the list, under multimedia features, check the box for Windows Media Center and DVD Maker.

  You may need the installation of Vista CD/DVD to install the features.

  I want to implement an internet chat application, I mean, I want a front end, which connects a web cam (microphone and speaker). So I can send video and audio on a back-end server (Flash streaming? but I don't know what a good product out there, I can use) and also send A / V on another computer on the internet. Need in other words, a front end that sends one premises / webcam v (& mic) for the backend and receives remote has / v of backend for webcam (and speaker) + backend streaming server.

  Any suggestions for techniques to use? What streaming flash backend server I should sue? How to acquire A / V of webcam (& mic) and how to send A / V for webcam & speaker to play?

  Before the end of development:-you can use Flash CS4/CS5 or Flex Builder.

  Dorsal programming - programming side server is essentially using ActionScript. You can use Flash CS4, but there is no need special tool creation, you can do with the same text editor. After that you create, you just need to place the files in the right place on FMS.

  Front-end length - you just need Flash Player installed, mainly ActiveX or plugin in your browser - which you would already have now

  Also, if you decide to write the AIR application to your front-end, you need AIR - what is free again

  I messed up my computer by installing windows 8.1 and everything went.  No keyboard more, Acer ring etc.  I want to just this 'thing' to the way it was.  It didn't go back or restoration available and do not send a set of discs, although I have a portable hard drive that might work, if there is such a thing as available backup discs.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Do I have to send this thing to the manufacturer, is it a seller out there that makes this service, etc.

  When you say ' it didn't go back or restoration available "do you mean there is no recovery partition ("eRecovery")? If you restart your machine & press logo Acer ALT F10 & - this should take you in the eRecovery mode where you can restore your computer like new.

  If your keyboard has stopped working, see if you can borrow someone's USB keyboard and try from there.

  If all else fails, then Yes, you will need to send it for repair. Chat with Acer for your area by going to the Web site, click on "support" and then "contact Acer".

• Web Cam and Vista 64-bit

  My pc running Vista 64 bit does not start until the sex cam plugged USB is unplugged. Once Vista is running that I plug the webcam, the driver is loaded and everything works OK. I agree that it is without great effort by unplugging the web cam, but anyone have an idea as to the reason? I used this webcam on Vista 32 bit with no problems.

  Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Now I gave up my quest. I accept the fact that my web cam can be connected until after the pc has been started. Is there something in the bios that seems to only detect cam and webcam sex and decided to stop. I tried all the tips suggested without success. I think that the customer service at HP guys can know more they say. When the problem has been given to them they responded immediately by blaming Vista 64-bit. The impression I got was that it was, for them, a common problem. I have Windows 7 on a second HD on my pc and the same problem exists. The common factor is the bios on the pc.
