Need help to restore my face of Windows Live Mail page

The column that shows the following information is too left and is now out of my screen: unread email, Inbox, sent, project, my folders for e-mail storage

If the program is maximized (full screen), click Restore to return to a smaller view.

Then resize the program by dragging the edges or corners to make it small enough to fit on the screen.  You may also drag the title of the program to move the entire window in the view.

  • Need help: moving from Outlook 2000 to Windows Live Mail

I would like to ask my question/problem to be seen by someone who is an expert in your e-mail programs (Outlook, Windows Live Mail, etc.). Thank you!

    Here's the scenario:

    (1) we have a PC of office 9 years old who is replaced.  The operating system is Windows XP Home Edition - SP 2.  This PC runs a Microsoft Office 2000 Professional for ever... including Outlook 2000, which we use for our home e-mail accounts.

    2) there are 2 users on this PC (myself & my wife).  Outlook 2000 is configured in a way that allows both of us to share these same accounts. Regardless of whether I am connected to the computer or that it is recorded, when launch us Outlook, we are all two accesses to the same ".pst" file with the same Messages, the same Contacts & calendar.  (There are currently 2 set POP3 e-mail accounts in place of our provider (Verizon) that both feed into the same Inbox reception & records).

    (3) the old PC is replaced by a new system of office under Windows 7 Home Premium.  The new system came preloaded with Microsoft Office 2007 - Home & Student edition - comprising STEPS of Outlook.

    (4) outlook is a great program, but also because it's like a desktop messaging system, it's really more that most need people for the welcome e-mail.  We therefore decided to try Windows Live Mail on our new computer.

    (5) I've copied the ".pst file ' of our old PC to the new & attempted to import the messages into Live Mail.  Live Mail did not provide an option to import this format - only Outlook Express 6, Windows Mail & Windows Live Mail itself seem to be supported.

    (6) I read a message board entry online (can't remember where) that said that Outlook 2000 is not in a format that is compatible with Live Mail.  So, on our old computer XP, I opened OUTLOOK EXPRESS & imported all messages, contacts and calendar entries in Outlook 2000 ".pst" file.  The problem is: I don't know what to do next!  Everything is imported in Outlook Express on the old PC, but I don't know the name of the file they are or what I should do to get the Live Mail on the new PC to see.  The Dell tech support technicians were absolutely no help at all, I have turned to you all!

    Here are my questions:

Can I configure Windows Live Mail to work in the same way that Outlook 2000 - shared between 2 users?  Our provider allow multiple e-mail addresses.  They all do not have to feed in boxes receive same account, but for myself & my wife, I would like to be able to see the Archives of message even when we are connected.

In addition, my wife got a new Windows 7 laptop.  Would it not possible to 'network' of the ".pst" file in a shared folder so that each computer can see it in Live Mail?  (It would be a "friendlier", but it isn't a necessity by all means).  Or Live Mail not use same ".pst"?

Or do we forget Live Mail completely & buy Outlook 2007?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

    Dexter

You do all the right things!  To find the folder that contains the Outlook Express files on the old XP computer, click Tools > Options > maintenance > store folder .  Copy this folder on the Windows 7 computer.  Then import Microsoft Outlook Express 6 on Windows Live Mail through this folder.

Windows Live Mail supports multiple e-mail accounts.  Each has its own set of folders (Inbox, sent, deleted items, etc.).

Only Outlook uses ".pst" files  I don't know of any way to share a file between two computers ".pst".  You can set up e-mail on computers programs to read the same incoming messages.

Windows Live Mail does not open. Contacted the help people who told me to uninstall Windows Live and start over, but my computer won't uninstall it? Back to the use of Windows Mail, but now some of my emails are not received by some of their recipients even if they seem to send and there is no error message. It is not a server problem, as everything goes through, if I send directly from their site. Help please.

  • Windows Live Mail error, can't send or receive any

I get this error when you try to check for email...

Can't send or receive messages on behalf of the Charter. The host 'pop.charter.net' is not found. Please check that you have entered the server name correctly.

    Server: 'pop.charter.net.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0D
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 110
    Secure (SSL): No.
    Socket error: 11001

    Would appreciate any help!

You can send and receive messages from your online Charter web e-mail page (you have an even if you never use it)?  At least you can use it (if it works) to send and receive emails until the problem with Windows Live Mail is fixed.  This would exclude a problem with the service of the Charter itself (except perhaps the transfer of your location and messaging program-, but which will be intercepted in the next step, which is to contact Charter).

Contact the technical support of the Charter and ask for help in the creation of the Windows Live Mail account.  Explain the problem.  A setting is incorrect - maybe the name of the server or maybe some other focus on the configuration server.  Don't let them not the phone is turned off until you are running.  It is difficult for us to help you, because we do not know the parameters of the Charter (and they have people who do nothing all day, but help people who have problems exactly same or similar to yours).

If the above does not work, please transfer your question in Forum Windows Live Mail to:http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop orhttp://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=15.

    I hope this helps.

How to fix Error 0x80072EFD on Vista

Windows Live Mail always give that number of error with 'cannot send or receive messages' message on my 2 account 1 webmail and hotmail accounts.  At random, all messages will be displayed and I can send messages on e-mail accounts but not webmail.  Lately, I've been to access the accounts separately on the internet because of this error.  The error message returns me to http://hotmail.live.com which is an empty address.

If this problem cannot be fixed, I need to know how to remove this Windows Live Mail from my laptop.

  • Windows Live Mail trying to publish "an album" and cannot complete

I'm stuck. My Live Mail trying to publish an album and obviously cannot complete. I went to the Outbox and delete all emails (some with photos) who were in the queue. The Outbox indicates empty now, but I'm still stuck. Selection of stop on the screen to direct work e-mail does nothing. Escape does nothing. Ctrl-alt-del, running the Task Manager and work stoppage has no effect. Rebooting the computer did nothing. He tried to publish 8 of 8 photos. He usually does in the program OneDrive (SkyDrive) but this time it's just there being not able to finish and apparently I can't stop it so that my life could continue on. Help, please!

  • Windows Live Mail Contacts problem...

    Hello...

    I could use some help.  : )

Background: I installed Windows Live Mail on your laptop Windows 8.1.  Apparently somewhere during the process of adding additional e-mail accounts - Gmail account more specifically he asked do you want to include contacts.  I said yes!  Error!  It resulted in each contact showing 2 times on my Windows 7 laptop running Windows Live.

Question: I have now each contact in my list of contacts twice.  It says 'address book' under the name and can be edited.  The other has no indication, and my best guess is that it's the Gmail account contact.

That's what I see on laptops respective...  1.) 8.1 portable Windows - people shows only 1 time contact.  (2.) for laptop Windows 7 - Windows Live shows each 2 times contact

Tried: 1) software, Windows Live has two contacts.  2.), remove all contacts in Gmail, Windows Live still has these two contacts.

I'm at a lost how do I solve this problem...  Thanks for your help.

    Sandi

I do not believe that your explanation of how this happened is quite accurate. If you add an e-mail account in Windows Live Mail, there is no question of whether contacts should be included - email and contacts are completely separate processes in Windows Live Mail.

If you see contacts in Windows Live Mail, which are not ' of address book ", then you must be signed in to Windows Live Mail with a Microsoft Account (which could be your Gmail account). If this account is connected to Google, Google contacts will eventually synchronize with Windows Live Mail. You cannot change these contacts in Windows Live Mail.

To break the connection, click on the rightmost button on the home Ribbon tab and select view account information. Sign in to your account again, and then click permissions.

    1. click on services and applications Manage.
    2. click on Edit in the connected Google service you want to remove from your account
    3. click on remove this connection completely.
    4. click on Remove.

Back in Windows Live Mail. Click again on the button to the right and select sign out of Windows Live Mail. Wait a few minutes, and then click New and connect. Check your list of contacts.

  • I need help using "calendar" in Windows Live Mail

Problem 1: The 'properties' of one of the "calendars" within the watch WindowsLiveMail give it a READ ONLY status.   The 'properties' of this calendar also lead me to believe that it is filled with information on the birthday of my contact information.

Q1: How does a calendar WLM to set READ ONLY?
Q2: How can I change this status so that I can DELETE then?
Q3: How 'do' a new calendar uses the information from my Contacts?  that is, if I create a 'new' calendar as a birthday or anniversary, how to
Shoot all the information, anniversary or a birthday, as I said in my Contacts.  Apparently, it's supposed to happen, but it doesn't seem to be.
Q4: When I set up a REMINDER in my calendar, exactly how I get recalled?  In Outlook, I'd get a pop-up window on my screen in the
"reminder" calendar.  I have reminders set for all THE birthdays in my birthday calendar, but I have yet to get any form of reminder for any of them.  What I am
    hurt?
Help!  Please, I beg you.  Thank you.

Windows Live Mail is no not part of Windows, it is a part of Windows Live Essentials. (Yes I know the name of this forum is confusing!)
