Need help with bbm blackBerry Smartphones

Hey everyone, so I have a little problem with blackberry messenger.

I am currently overseas and left my sim to my phone and active inside the option of mobile connection power off and left only wireless on. My blackberry messenger worked perfectly on wifi.

However, I've been corresponding with my phone provider and tell them to pass my number back to front I'll be a stranger for a few months. That took place this morning and I leave around the same time, blackberry Messenger works as well.

I am able to navigate using the bb browser, but the messages are not delivered (a check mark appears, but no sign of D (elivered)) and I get no messages either.

Now I do not understand how them my sim for prepaid switching makes a difference? It's not as if I'm on homelessness or even using the phone for the mobile network option. I checked the host routing table and the staff are present. This is what it looks like:

TO GPRS (505) [5050030]

A Wi - Fi connection [60]

TO GPRS (505) [5050030]

TO GPRS (505) [5050030]

TO GPRS (505) [5050030]

I don't understand what is the question. Someone here could help me with this please?

Thank you

Hey,.

Don't sweat! things are complex all around! your blackberry data plan is related to you in two ways. one through your operator and two through your PIN on your bb. so when you initially could receive messages BBM PIN was still active for the BB data plan but after that you flew it through the phone call your PIN has been disabled for any data plan. hope that helps!

I had the storm for about 3 months and im really frustrated and confused because don't know how else to use it as a phone and email verification. I want to use it as a PDA, but I don't know how!  I tried to download apps but after 4 apps, he told me that the phone has no more memory to download more.  I'm sure that the storm is made to have more than 4 apps, so I know im doing something wrong.  Please help... I want to get the most out of this phone bc I like it.

    Thanks in advance

PS Ive also tried to transfer the applications on the external memory card, but I can't figure out how.  the only thing I can put on the external memory are music files.

Your AppMemory is very low... I recommend the following:

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

See what increases your free AppMemory. You may need to do it on an occasional basis - some do it once a day just to keep things as clean as possible. Others (like me) use an application called quick sweater to simulate a batt restart - shoot once per day.

Regarding apps how it can manage - it is not a responsible question. It depends on the size of applications. Applications more large = less can be installed. Smaller apps = more can be installed. So it is really not possible to say that only 4 or 5 applications can be installed.

  • Help for BBM blackBerry Smartphones & Facebook does not not for 9320 - problem with "host Routing Table? -Virgin

So, today I received my new 9320 at Virgin Mobile, first Blackberry & love the phone! but I can't use the BBM or Facebook app...

At first I could not even access the browser while that connected to my wifi... then I phoned Virgin & they helped me to reset the settings on my BB that I could use the browser etc...

I thought it was problem solved, until I discovered BBM and Facebook, use app world separate service? Anyway, I phoned up to Virgin because I wanted to do this job, they are included in my package & I did not understand why I can't access any of them...

After a long phone call the problem has proved that the "host routing table" was empty and (according to in Virgin) there is a problem with new BlackBerry receiving these details... they said this isn't a problem on the end there & told me there is nothing more they can do so to click 'register now' and wait for the details...

24 hours later and nothing, so I hope someone here can help me, make me a BB the whole point is things miss me actually lol and I feel now I'm paying for a phone contract I can't really use it, without any help from my provider?

    Any help?

    Or

Anyone with a new BB knows something like that recently? Thank you

Wow... Virgin you gave really there. You see, you PAY for 100% of your services and 100% of your formal support... at the moment, they seem to be or you deliver. Only they have the ability (in fact the RESPONSIBILITY!) to degenerate RIM requiring improved support of cases (from your description, it must be that... with a HRT empty, nothing that anyone here can do). End users have no free path to receive assistance from the RIM at all - only via the escalation. So, what I would do if I were you, is their ring back... but this time do not let you fob OFF... insist that, because you HAVE them, you have a contract with them and they are about to be in violation of this contract - they must solve your problem, degenerate into RIM if they wish.

    Good luck!

    Hello presh007

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you already verified and that you are unable to locate your BBM icon, then you should try reinstalling the BlackBerry Messenger application, it may be useful.

To do it from your home screen to go to Options > device > Application Management > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

KB10040 : How to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

Deleted once perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return.

Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the most recent version available. After installation, restart your device once more, connecting with your BlackBerry ID and check if you are able to send BBM to one of these devices.

Please try it and let us know of your progress.

  • Traveling with BBM blackBerry smartphones

I live in Toronto, and I got a lot of data with Rogers. I am currently in Florida, and I have problems sending messages BBM contacts. My mobile network is supported by AT & T-Rogers. I get emails, just not BBM messages. Is there something I need to achieve to the top/turn on my phone? I'm also going to Europe in the summer, so if there is something different, I have to do to allow me to use bbm in Europe, that the information is useful as well.

    Thank you!

When I compose a message of pine in this way, it does not work... but when I send a message through the BBM application, it is the clock bit next to the name of the recipient... and that's what I'm trying to rectify.

OK, well, then your international data include the PIN messaging, which would include BBMessenger as well.

If a user attempts to send you a BBMessage, you can receive?

I know late yesterday, I saw a few users are the United States, complaining about some BBM delays. I don't know if they are affected now.

You can always try a reboot simple:

With the BlackBerry powereddevice, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Often, in this way a reboot will restore all network connections.

  • Issues with BBM blackBerry Smartphones 2

Hi, first I have a Bold 9700 and my contract covers everything (internet/email/bbm, etc.). (Edit: and I am on Orange, to the United Kingdom, if it makes a difference.)

But whenever I've been on BBM it has not looked like all the manuals of the user here say it should - I don't see the display picture of anyone, and I can't add my own. When I looked at the online books and tried to follow the instructions, the layout / interface was different textbooks suggest it should - and I tried a number of different versions of more textbooks, is not that I am looking at the wrong version.

However, I did check and noticed that I was on a version 4 something BBM. I had the link to update sent to my phone and updated. However, now the BBM icon has disappeared from my home page and I can't find anywhere to get back. I had been able to always get him well "switch application", but I restarted my phone and now I can not even find BBM through the application of switch option either.

I noticed something here on the RIM, I guess that's the issue, but I don't know why it would be. I did not add anything like that to my phone, but as I say, the complete package of my service provider, so I could not see any reason why I wouldn't be able to upgrade my BBM on my device.

Any help to recover the icon would be massively appreciated (while I want the display pic problem to work, I'm more interested in being able to get on BBM himself first!)

Thanks in advance for any help, greatly appreciated!

I would say this: use your BlackBerry Messenger feature to back up your contacts, you have now, and also, do a full backup using the Desktop Manager.

Then go into Options > Advanced > Applications and scroll the Messenger app and do not click it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.

Now, do a restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install again the Messenger application.

After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.

You can restore your contacts from the application of v.5 BBM or from Office Manager > Backup/Restore > advanced.

  • Help with calendar blackBerry Smartphones!

I just got a curve and this is my first Blackberry. I've only had it a week and for some reason, I can't edit or delete appointments in my calendar. The error message I'm getting on the unit is:

The appointment is deleted externally. Changes will be lost and the Viewer is closed. then an OK button

But the appointment is still there... I can not change them.

Help! I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS THING!

I don't remember when it happened, but if I remember correctly, the problem is that your calendar somehow had value to synchronize wirelessly with your account e-mail blackberry.net or when you tried to sync with the calendar Google.

The first thing to try is to go in the calendar app and turn out calendars that are set to synchronize wireless.  This operation depends on your OS.  If you are running 4.3 or lower, there is only one place to put it.  If you are running 4.5 or later (what happened to 4.4?), you will need to check the calendar of each email address.

At that time the desk calendars (BES) can synchronize wireless, but I know that at some point my BES calendar got duplicated on my blackberry.net calendar!

As I write I think now, I remember it was when I've created Google Calendar to sync with their Calendar Sync app.  I could not edit or delete appointments!

You are on a BES, the fix (in both cases) for me was pretty easy.  First of all, I disabled the wireless synchronization for all calendars - and in the case of Google - uninstall the Google Calendar Sync app.  I then started Desktop Manager (in BIS mode on a computer with the configuration of the synchronization), are entered in the application of backup/restore and selected advanced mode.  Once there, you can select Advanced mode, and then select the calendar data and click on the [Clear] button.

I did once I turned Wireless Sync on my desk calendar (BES) and automatically synchronize to the top.

Of course, the problem with this fix is that if you're not on a BES, you loose that all your information of appointment unless you are wired to an application such as Outlook synchronization.  Resynchronize should just bring all your appointments.

  • Need help to restore blackBerry smartphones

I tried to downgrade my software of the device via the BB site (with browser plugin) 9630 later to the version previous because it was slowing down the device because I felt. the process was suspended due to the failure of connection and has not ended. But the backup process has been done at the time wherever she got interrupted. so I restarted the process and the phone works now but my data is not restored. Please tell me if there is any way I could get it back where he got saved on. Note: I only use the desktop software but just the browser plugin like I always do.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Only one hope and I honestly don't know how the method handles the backup. I hope it's accurate. Search your entire hard drive to a file with the extension of the IPD (*.) Search RPI)... deeply, hidden in the and as well as system folders. Inspect the results - the date / time of the files will tell you when they have been created. If one was created around the time that you were doing this update, then you can use it as source for restore:

  • Issue with BBM blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all.

    BlackBerry 9800

    Platform V6.0.0.448 6.4.0.210

    Carrier: Rogers

Question: The BBM Messages are not in delivery or receipt.

I can type out messages and send them, but they are not being delivered and I don't get the bbm messages. I can send the same message from 10-15 times and it can be delivered.

Text messages work, and my browser works, both on data and wireless. Was working fine last night, the problem started today. Made of soft and hard reboots no change.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

Whenever the mail app won't let you to set up email on your phone, call your carrier and tell them you want to access their site of BIS self-service.  While online, you can add, remove and change of e-mail accounts for your phone.  You do online, and he pushes the information to your phone.

My carrier (in Austria Telering) dose currently provides no Blackberry phones.

The email setup option is controlled by the service books.  The service books are sent by your operator.  If your carrier does not support BlackBerry services (i.e. sell BlackBerry data plans... who, if they do not sell BlackBerry phones probably, they do not sell plans) then you are out of luck for email on your device.
