Need Microsoft Picture updates! Preimum 10.

Original title: upgrades / updates for Microsoft Picture It! Preimum 10?

I want to upgrade, possibly update, Microsoft Picture! Preimum 10! I am running XP Home Edition / SP3 on a Dell Dimension 3000 of order p / office. I upgraded my RAM, monitor, mouse/keyboard, printer & speakers, maybe I need too replace the whole system? Buying a whole new system isn't in the budget, unless the update of my current system is a waste of time & money from poor management? I'm trying to restore an old dinosaur?

Hi Larry,

Microsoft Picture he wants has been abandoned. However, you can download & use Windows Live Photo Gallery.

To download Windows Live Photo Gallery, refer to this link:

Personally, I got the Picture It! version since 1999

If you really, really want to run Picture It! 2001 or 2002...
you could look in Dual boot Vista and XP... or maybe
run a Virtual Machine with Win XP on your Vista system.
There is a full version of XP that can be activated.

Just beware that all support and updates for end XP in 2014.

I've updated the IE6 from the IE8 recovery DVD, after reading that IE6 is no longer compatible with the Update Service, but the Windows Update problem persists.

Thank you very much for your quick response.

I have Win XP SP2, so I TRIED to install SP3, but it fails, saying the license / Digital Signature for the SP3 update is invalid.

    Bob,

Download the standalone SP3 installation program from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24

You will see that it is described as being for IT and the developers, but it is no different than the same file that you can download from the Windows Update site (if you can get there).

If after installing SP3, you still have a problem with Windows Update, run this Fixit:

To add to what MakerDusk recommends, after applying all updates, you will need to run the updates again, as some are prerequisites to others. Keep running it until you don't have any more than you need to add.

    I hope this helps.

  • Microsoft picture it 9 disappeared

My Microsoft picture it 9 has disappeared from my computer.  It happened I believe after either winsweeper or upgrade to msn premium.  How can I get that back?

Since Microsoft has dropped their line of retail Image editing of
software... they added limited edition of Windows Live options
Photo Gallery. ... In my humble OPINION there is no comparison to Picture It! / Digital
    Image.

Personally I always liked the Picture It! programs and moved to
MS Digital Image when the name was changed to MS. I always use Digital
Image Suite 2006 and believes that it is the easiest to use more intuitive
    image editing software.

Even if the line is abandoned... best can still be found
online sites such as Ebay and Amazon. There are 60-day trial
the version is still available, you can download if you want to try
    It's on.

Be aware that if you buy a copy, there will be no support or
updates... the line is completely abandoned.

  • Microsoft Picture It 2.0

In 1998, I bought Microsoft Picture It 2.0, which was a great program for manipulating and printing photos. Some time later, I bought Microsoft Picture It 7.0, I found very inferior. Is there a program currently available that will read produces images of picture it 2.0 which have the extension ".mix" and that works as well?
I would like to read in order to produce files with the extension ".jpg", which is much more common.

    Thank you.

    Hi, SWH, de Gaulle,.

Microsoft Picture It! 2.0 is a very old application inherited, designed to be used with Windows 98.

If you use Windows Vista, then you can try to run in compatibility mode Windows Vista 98 window.

For more information runs to lead mode, see the following links:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/927386

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If this does not work, you may need to find another 3rd party product, as Microsoft has dropped its range of digital imaging products, which perform the same functions.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Microsoft Picture Manager has stopped working I am facing this problem two previous hours__

Microsoft Picture Manager has stopped working, I faced this problem two previous hours.when I open programs view massage on screen photo managrt has stopped working

    Hi Araud,

What programs do you speak? Remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

This problem can occur because of no present conflicts of Microsoft programs on the computer, I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Put the computer to clean and test start

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

Thank you, and in what concerns:
