Need permission for everyone to copy a .dll file

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

Ideas:

  • When I try to copy the file from a specific image in a folder, he replys, it isn't possible, that I need permission to do it!
  • Has already given the full control permission to the group "everyone". Didn't work...
  • Already installed a .reg file for appropriating a folder... didn't work.
  • I disabled my antivirus because it said that the file is a virusand I know that it is not.
  • What can I do to copy the file? Why doesn't it block this file!

Well, it's a lot more information!

Copy of the file so that your virus protection believes that it is a virus won't do you much good. At best your virus scanner will keep nagging you about the file. At worst, it will quarantine or delete it.

You can likely copies the file to its destination in Mode without failure. Please post again if you need more detailed instructions.

Hello.  When I try to delete a file on an external hard drive on a network, I get this error message:

"File access denied: you need permission to everyone to make changes to this file."
I tried to take possession of the file, but there is no security or any other option to do.  Here's what I see when I click on properties:
    In general, details, previous Versions
Under "Details", the owner is listed as "Everyone".  At the bottom of the box, there is a link "remove properties and personal information."  If I click on that I have two options: 'Create a copy with all of the properties deleted' or "Remove the following properties from the file."  If I select "owner" and click ok, nothing happens - the owner is always listed as "Everyone" and I can't delete it.
    I am running windows 8.
    I am the administrator.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Step 1: Open the file properties

Step 2: Open the security option, and then click on allow list of user options and select your user name.

Step 3: Select allow and any other option. Then, closed.

Step 4: then open the file again. Now you can remove it.

  • When I try to delete some folders, an error message appears saying 'you need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file.

original title: require authorization of the SYSTEM

I decided to do a clean install of the latest Windows 7 RC yesterday and today crossed and have started to remove some programs on a separate hard drive so I could reinstall their own.  However when I try to delete some folders, an error message appears saying 'you need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file.  I am using an administrator account, but I can't just simply delete the file.  I tried going to and change the owner to my account or administrators, close it, change the security permissions to allow me to have full control, and then I can finally remove it.  The problem is, I have to do for all the files one by one in the folder, and I wonder if there is an easier way to go about this, or if I can access the user of this SYSTEM and just delete them all from there.  Thanks for the help.

    Hello

Not trying to resurrect the old discussions, but I'll answer anyway because this thread came on top of the list of search results when I searched for "you need permission to the SYSTEM; I hope this will help everyone.

Note: here, "the record" as a subject refers to the folder that you want to remove.

Step 1: Go to the built-in Administrator account, you can do so by following these steps:
    a. go to control panel > system and security > administrative tools
    b. on the left panel, go to local users and groups > users. You should now see a list of users on your computer
    c. right click on the administrator account that appears in the list and select Properties
    d. uncheck "account is disabled" and confirm by pressing OK

Step 2: Connect to your newly activated administrator account

Step 3: Now, we start to configure the security settings that will allow you to remove this folder which was (perhaps) held by the SYSTEM:
I'm going to make the assumption that you want to remove a folder and all its subfolders along
    a. right click on the folder
    b. go to the security on the top tab
    c. click on the Advanced button which is at the bottom

: Step 4 the first part to configure security settings to set the owner of the folder:
    a. go to the owner on the top tab
    b. click the button change located downstairs
    c. There should be a list of accounts to choose to change the property, this is located under the label "of a change in ownership:'"
    (d) the entry 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' should be there; If this isn't the case, then add it to the list:
-Click on the button "other users or groups...". "who's down
-Under the label "enter the object name to select (examples):', there should be a text field you can type into it;" type in "Administrator" (without the quotes of course)
-Click on the "Check names" button which is located on the right. 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' should now be there _For itself_; Well, if not, then you must remove the line that does not represent the administrator account that you are currently
-Confirm by pressing OK; It will now appear on the list of accounts, you can choose from
    e. now, select 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' from this list
    f. check 'Replace the owner of subcontainers and objects' to propagate our change
    g. press OK to confirm. a message should now pop-up window, which says to re - open the properties. Do by pressing all the buttons OK see you

Step 5: now that we have the owner of the folder, we still not done. There is one crucial step left which is to remove permissions inheritable:
    a. Repeat step 3 to learn to re - open properties and get to "Advanced security settings"
    b. go to the permissions on the top tab
    c. click on the button "Change permissions" which is down
    d. at the bottom, there should be 2 check boxes:
-' Include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent to this object': deselect this. When you do so, you will get a warning on the parameters of parent is not not able to spread. Select 'Add '.
-' Replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable this object': check this
    e. press OK to confirm. Windows will warn you this time; Click OK
    f. reconfirm by pressing OK; now, you should get to properties again

Now, you shouldn't have all the warnings about the SYSTEM do give you permission as he attempted to perform actions on this issue.
All the boxes to change the permissions on the accounts (properties > Security > Edit) must now be enabled, and you can tinker around with it.

  • I need permission for everything and I don't know how else to do it... I am the only user of the computer.

I am logged as singular Vista user.  I can't delete files... impossible to install programs, etc... He always says access denied and I need permission... I'm the only user with UAC disabled.  What is the problem?

    Hello

    Just a few questions:
[1] which version of Vista you are running?
[2] which folder you are trying to delete?

Click the button START/Pearl and in the LINE RUN type "cmd" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.

    Once in DOS:
Type "winver" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.
This will give you the exact version of Windows you are using.

Also, copy and paste everything between the lines in the BACK window.
Where is the account you used.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    net localgroup administrators / Add
    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Then log in as you and try again.

If it does not go back in the DOS window
Click the button START/Pearl and in the LINE RUN type "cmd" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.

Once in DOS mode copy and paste everything between the lines in the BACK window.

    --------------------------------------------------------
NET user Admin Password1 / add
net localgroup administrators Admin / add
    net localgroup users Admin/delete

    --------------------------------------------------------

This will create a user called "Admin" with the password "Password1" and will only get the user to an administrator.
Log in as user name and try again.

  • Unable to delete files and folders... 'You need permission system to make changes to this file.

I am the administrator of the account. I can't remove the residue of some programs because of this message. As usual made all the bits to find the answer on the forum of Microsoft and other sites. None of them helped me so far. I also tried the modified permissions and changed a key .reg property. But nothing happened.

It is dangerous to change the permissions of system, programs and registry locations.  These are tight to protect against malware that exploit the administrative accounts and compromise the entire system.

The "residue" would be solve by using the uninstall utility program.

That said, if you do not need to manually delete a folder, just be vary close.  For example, appropriating and remove a specific program of record, not all of the "Program files".  Basically, do not apply a new authorization to all the program files just to remove one file of boredom.  If you keep in mind, you open any hole by making changes to the authorization.

  • Windows 7 tells me I need permission from remove me a file

I'm trying to remove the Program Files folder and the Windows folder from a hard disk which I have not started.  I do this from a Windows 7 machine.  The I'm trying to delete files come from the hdd to boot a Vista where I want to delete all the folders and copy backup it from a I have before inserting the disc newly restored in the Vista machine.  Win7 denies my request to delete these files.  I took possession of containers under folders and files.  I changed the permissions so that I have total control.  I even changed owner to anyone and has kept everyone full control.  Even after doing all this Win7 still tells me:

You need permission to perform this action
You need permission to everyone to make changes to this file
    Program Files
    Creation date: 11/02/2006-11:18

And gives me the option to retry or cancel

It is extremely frustrating and probably a huge bug in Windows.  If I try again I get just repeated the same message.

I am an administrator still this OS will not let me run!

Does anyone have any suggestions?  I need to keep intact boot sector - everything that I want to do is to copy a backup of my system files on this drive so that I can start my computer Vista again.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Here you mentioned the hard drive and if you think it's the hard drive, then my first suggestion would be to show the hidden files and folders.

Here's how to display the hidden files and folders.

    a. open the Options folder by clicking on the button start the picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.

    b. click on the view tab.

    c. under Advanced settings, click Show files, folders and drives, and then click OK.

    See: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Show-hidden-files

    Now, perform the following steps:

    Step 1:

    Delete files using Disk Cleanup

    Step 2:

    a. click windows orb
    b. type cmd in the search box
    c. right-click on cmd in the results menu and click on run as administrator
    d. command windows opens, must be in the directory c:\windows\system32
    e. go to c:\ do what type cd... until you reach c:\
    f. navigate to the directory where the file to be deleted. example c:\windows.old\users
    g. type rd/s (directory name)
    h. will get quickly delete y/n type y and press enter

After successful removal, you can check the windows Explorer and see that the file is missing.

Example, I have a directory on my c drive named windows.old, under windows.old that I have a user directory and then several subdirectories, 1 directory happens to be named bill. For some reason any windows can not find this place and will not delete the folder. I then who follow the previous steps and remove this directory.

  • Need drivers for Ubuntu for L300 (PSLB8E)

    Hello

Where can I find the drivers for my Satellite L300 (PSLB8E)?
I have tryied to find http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp but its only for windowz.

    Sorry for my Eng :D

Your first task is to complain to Toshiba because they do not provide an independent means of the OS to Flash your BIOS.
Other manufacturers provide bootable ISOs so that you can copy it to a CD or USB key and do the work.

If you have not already installed Windows, then you will need to get your hands dirty.

    1. download archive ZIP with the BIOS of your laptop.
    2. extract the contents of the file.
    3. install the 'wine' from the software Center (package manager of your Linux distribution).
    Wine to run Windows programs.
    4. run the tool to update the BIOS with the wine. Right-click on the PS10220.exe file, and then select run with wine.
    5. now, this is the critical step; you will get an error message, your program cannot continue. Do not close the error dialog box.
If you have already done, then go back and perform step 4 :-).
    6. by running the. EXE with wine and staying in the error message, the binary file for the BIOS was extracted in the TEMP directory.
While the error dialog box always shows, we can go into the TEMP directory and keep a copy of the extracted BIOS file!
    7. a copy of the BIOS files. They are located in

    * / Home/MYUSERNAME /. Wine/drive_c/Users/MYUSERNAME/Temp / *.

in a subfolder called something like * 7zS356.tmp*. Copy that subfolder on your desktop for more security.
You can now click OK in the error dialog box.
    8. now enter the directory 7zS356.tmp (the one that you copied to your desktop) and find the file *.fd, which
is the BIOS file. 'S called it PS10220M.fd for the L300.
    9. now we need is a utility to Flash the BIOS with the PS10220M.fd file.
There is one such utility called FlashROM, found at http://www.flashrom.org/
Visit the website and follow the instructions to create a Live USB key. The link it says "Live CD"
which is kinda the same thing. FlashRom is delivered with the ISO Bootable SystemRescueCD (http://www.sysresccd.org/)
If your task is to learn how to get SystemRescueCD to install on a USB key (we need a USB to then copy the firmware file).
    10. There are many resources on how to create a System Rescue CD on a USB bootable; Try one, or if you have Ubuntu installed,.
Install the package "unetbootin" and use it to install the SystemRescueCD ISO on your USB.
    11. now start with your key USB SystemRescueCD and use the FlashROM.exe utility to Flash your BIOS with the PS10220M.fd firmware file.
Read the Flashrom.org to aid in this process; There is option in FlashRom.exe to check if the BIOS hardware is supported, etc.

    Good luck!
