  • Need to call the javascript function when the page is loaded

    Hello - I have a javascript function defined on Page 0 of my application. It is in the source of an unconditional
    region whose view point is after the header.

    I call successfully the function of event onchange on individual page elements. (The function
    sets the value of an element based on the value of another).

    But I also need to call the function when the page is loaded. The page is a form of data modification,
    so many values is filled when it is loaded, and I need the dependent values populated
    also.

    I tried to add the call to function in the following way. It is not at all get called (alerts are not forthcoming)
    and there is no error in the Firefox error console...
    - as an event onload in individual items
    -call directly to the edit HTML page header
    -call directly from the HTML body of the edit page (which, from what I've read, sounds
    as to execute onload and my page template doesn't have a defined substitution onload string).

    In these 2 cases, I simply call it like: jsLookupValue ($v ("P8_OBJECTTYPE_ID"), "objecttype_id", "P8_OBJECTTYPE_NAME", "objecttype_name", "hdb_objecttype");

    How can I do this?

    Thank you

    If you define the function on the zero page and any page you should be able to call using something like:

    Have you tried to put just a statement alert() on the page in order to check that it runs just about anything?

  • Need to call the PL/SQL Package in the group dynamics of approval class that implements IDynamicApprovalGroup

    Hi all

    This is regarding the approval of invoice AP I need in my project where the user selects the users/people approval when creating the invoice based on logic. There may be any number of users who could be part of the approval group.

    Approval users information is stored in a table with a single Bill.

    When the user initiates invoice approval, approval of the Bill should go to all the people/users selected in the invoice.

    I created the dynamic of approval group which is the result of a java class. This java class implements IDynamicApprovalGroup. (what is the oracle Developer Guide).

    I called PL/SQL to java class package to get all the details of users of custom for the current invoice table.

    I used the DriverManager.getConnection method by hard coding (JDBC URL, Username, Pwd) connection details that works perfectly fine.

    But I don't want to hard-code the connection details because it will change in bodies SIT/UAT/PROD.

    Please ask you to guide me if there is no solution for the information of connection without hard coding it.

    Following code used to get the connection details

    try {}

    Class.forName ("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");

    System.out.println ("= class loaded");

    }

    catch (ClassNotFoundException ex) {}

    System.out.println ("= class loading error");

    ex.printStackTrace ();

    }

    Fitting out = null;

    CallableStatement cstmt = null;

    Try

    {

    connection = DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@xxhostname:1521/SID", "FUSION", "*");

    Connection = GetConnection ();

    System.out.println ("= connection =" + connection);

    prepare the call

    cstmt = connection.prepareCall ("{call XX_AP_INV_DYN_APPROVAL_PKG. {GET_GROUP_PARTICIPANTS (?,?)} ») ;

    cstmt.setString (1, '12345');   ID on invoice

    Exit of the register

    cstmt.registerOutParameter (2, java.sql.Types.VARCHAR);

    Call the stored procedure

    cstmt. Execute();

    System.out.println ("= procedure being executed");

    approvalGroupMembers = cstmt.getString (2).split("#");

    System.out.println ("= output:" + cstmt.getString (2));

    }

    catch (Exception ex) {}

    ex.printStackTrace ();

    }

    Finally

    {

    Try

    {

    If (cstmt! = null)

    close the callable statement

    {

    cstmt. Close();

    cstmt = null;

    }

    System.out.println ("= stmt closed");

    }

    catch (SQLException ex)

    {

    System.out.println ("= stmt close err");

    ex.printStackTrace ();

    }

    Try

    {

    If (connection! = null)

    close the connection

    {

    Connection.Close;

    connection = null;

    }

    System.out.println ("= closed conn");

    }

    catch (SQLException ex)

    {

    System.out.println ("= Close conn err");

    ex.printStackTrace ();

    }

    }

    Thank you

    Dipak.

    HI Dembélé - you should be able to call the provider database from the java class. Documentation is here. However, you need to specify the name of the data provider that is the same in all environments. Do you know what it is? If it's not I'll take a look and get back to you.

  • Need help with the analytic function

    I want to get the highest employee details and the 2nd highest employee for a particular service. But also the Department should have more than 1 employee.
    I tried the query and it gave me the correct results. But I wonder if there is another solution than to use the subquery.

    Here is the table and the query result:
    with t as
    (
    select 1 emp_id,3 mgr_id,'Rajesh' emp_name,3999 salary,677 bonus,'HR' dpt_nme from dual union
    select 2 ,3 ,'Gangz',4500,800,'Finance' from dual  union
    select 3 ,4 ,'Sid',8000,12000,'IT' from dual  union
    select 4 ,null,'Ram',5000,677,'HR' from dual  union
    select 5 ,4,'Shyam',6000,677,'IT' from dual union
    select 6 ,4 ,'Ravi',9000,12000,'IT' from dual
    )
    select * from
    (select emp_id, mgr_id, emp_name, dpt_nme, salary, row_number() over (partition by dpt_nme order by salary desc) rn from t where dpt_nme in
    (select dpt_nme from t group by dpt_nme having count(*) > 1)) where rn < 3

    Hello

    You need a subquery, but you don't need more than that.
    Here's a way to eliminate the additional subquery:

    WITH     got_analytics     AS
    (
         SELECT  emp_id,     mgr_id,     emp_name, dpt_nme, salary
         ,     ROW_NUMBER () OVER ( PARTITION BY  dpt_nme
                                   ORDER BY          salary     DESC
                           )         AS rn
         ,     COUNT (*)     OVER ( PARTITION BY  dpt_nme
                                       )         AS dpt_cnt
         FROM     t
    )
    SELECT  emp_id,     mgr_id,     emp_name, dpt_nme, salary
    ,     rn
    FROM     got_analytics
    WHERE     rn     < 3
    AND     dpt_cnt     > 1
    ;

    Analytical functions are calculated after the clause WHERE is applied. Since we need to use the results of the analytical ROW_NUMBER function in a WHERE clause, which means that we have to calculate ROW_NUMBER in a subquery and use the results in the WHERE clause of the main query. We can call the COUNT function analytical in the same auxiliary request and use the results in the same WHERE clause of the main query.

    Would what results you if there is a link for the 2nd highest salary in some Department? For example, if you add this line to your sample data:

    select 7 ,3 ,'Sunil',8000,12000,'IT' from dual  union

    ? You can use RANK rather than ROW_NUMBER.

  • How to call the stored procedure from javascript? (Google suggest, AJAX)

    Hi I want to set up a text field so that it behaves like [Google Suggest | http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1 & hl = en].

    I read this post .

    Now, I installed everything according to this document. But it simply doesn't. And I don't know why.

    I think that problems can fall into the following three categories:
    1. the text field and the page invoking the appropriate javascript?
    2 - is the JavaScript call the stored procedure?
    3. the stored procedure correctly returns the result formatted?

    I'm assertive for 1 and 3, but I'm not sure 2. Because I don't know how if a stored procedure has been called? Is there a PL/SQL statement that I can query in SQL * more?

    Also, I would like to know how to debug AJAX in the APEX. It involves a lot of things.

    Finally, I used APEX 3.2 and Oracle XE. I can't find file dads.conf or marvel.conf. Is ' / apex / "the virtual directory for APEX?

    Thank you very much!

    Buffalo,

    I managed to make it work on XE with APEX 3.2!
    It took more time than expected because my XE installation was still on an earlier version of the Apex and I had put it first...

    But that's what I did:
    -in the ac.js file, I changed the path ' / apex / "and I added the ac.js file to my candidacy as a static file. So as you did.
    -J' copied my request to the XE and copied my procedure on the schema that is related to my request
    -J' gave to run anonymous rights my procedure

    Now at first, it did not work...
    Then I suddenly remembered something: If you want to run a procedure through the pl/sql gateway in the XE, XE please how it is.
    Do you this by changing the APEX_030200.wwv_flow_epg_include_mod_local function!

    This is the code for the function changed for my example:

    CREATE OR REPLACE function APEX_030200.wwv_flow_epg_include_mod_local(
        procedure_name in varchar2)
    return boolean
    is
    begin
        --return false; -- remove this statement when you modify this function
        --
        -- Administrator note: the procedure_name input parameter may be in the format:
        --
        --    procedure
        --    schema.procedure
        --    package.procedure
        --    schema.package.procedure
        --
        -- If the expected input parameter is a procedure name only, the IN list code shown below
        -- can be modified to itemize the expected procedure names. Otherwise you must parse the
        -- procedure_name parameter and replace the simple code below with code that will evaluate
        -- all of the cases listed above.
        --
        if upper(procedure_name) in (
              'MATTHIASH.INCSEARCH') then
            return TRUE;
        else
            return FALSE;
        end if;
    end wwv_flow_epg_include_mod_local;
    /

    After that, the AJAX function worked as expected...

  • Call the library function does not find the DLL in the directory where are my LLBs

    I'm using LabVIEW 8.6.  I have a set of screws in several LLBs.  All LLBs located in a directory.  Most of my screws is wrappers for the functions in a DLL.  I was told to put my DLL in the directory where are the LLBs, and apparently this is how the previous programmer has worked (using an earlier version of LabView).

    In the configuration of the library call, I've specified .dll without path.  (This is how we want our screws are an API that will integrate other programmers, so I don't know where they put things and I can't use absolute paths).

    When I insert the VIs in LabVIEW, LabVIEW can not find the DLL and wonder of spotted.  It's just that here in the directory with the LLBs and when I double click on it, everything works fine.  However my absolute path to the DLL now appears in the library to call configuration, and we don't want that.

    Does anyone know how to make this work?  I guess the location of the screw (or LLBs, in this case) should be the current directory and thus Windows search there for the DLL.  However, it seems that this is not the case (in the least, in the latest version of LabVIEW).

    Thank you.

    Batya

    Well someone using your library should not have to dig into your screws and do it all on his own. Instead your library must wrap that and hide disorders it altogether.

    The cluster of error has been added when the dynamic path option has been added. It is not useful hide this error output, so it's always there. As well as the dynamic path, there was the improved error handling added the CLN. One of them is that the level of verification when calling function errors (exception handling) can be specified. I guess that some of these options may generate an error code instead of bring up a dialog box, as they did before and that the output of error code can be useful even in the case of static calls.

    As to what you want to do, I would have long managed that with a DLL that has essentially the same functions as your other wrapper DLLs and an initiliasation function that returns a pointer to a structure of functional distribution based on the actual DLL you want to call. Quite like what an object-oriented function dispatch table is. Then, when your interface initilising you call initialize function and specify the device interface/type that you want to use and after that all other functions take a pointer extra function parameter expedition as the first parameter, in addition to the parameters of the real function. This dispatch function pointer would be just a pointer to a structure that contains the table of function for this interface pointers and the sake of LabVIEW would simply be an integer of size pointer.

    The wrapper function then checks the pointer structure validity send feature and call the actual function with the remaining parameters. It is a C programming and may require a planning and desigining the different interfaces to facilitate this kind of technique of the expedition, but it will certainly pay to long-term and make your library even can be used in previous versions of LabVIEW, so that VB etc. without delicate dynamic loading in the level high, programming environment.

  • Call the stored procedure, and bind parameters by name

    Hello

    I use the Oracle ODBC 12 c driver to pass values from one Interface to our database Oracle 11.2. The Interface software collects data from modbus protocoll and calls a stored procedure. Right now my syntax to call the stored procedure looks like this:

    CALL procedure-name ('STRING', 'Timestamp as String', numValue1);

    It works very well. Now, I have to add a default setting to my procedure. To stay flexible to make other changes, I want to call the procedure and bind the parameters by name. Release 10.2.0.1.0 ISC ODBC Notes:

    Added support for the named parameter, binding the parameters by name. ODBC Oracle driver now allows the application to specify the parameters of a stored procedure by name, in the procedure call. Named parameters are to be used in calls to stored procedures and should not be used in other SQL statements.

    So, it shouldn't be a problem to use named notation, but how do I do this in ODBC? I tried like this, but oracle returns an ora-00936 error of missing expression:

    call procedure-name (paramName1 = > 'STRING',= paramName2 > 'Timestamp as String',paramName3 = > numValue1).

    Thank you for your help.

    Finally, I was able to find the error. The syntax of the statement was very good. The problem was caused by another declaration that I edited before and the error has not attracted Attention immediately.

    Thanks for reading and looking for an answer.

    Hello

    As an attachment, there is the Info.vi device Get trying to access this feature. The code crashes when the function is called.

    I have probably not pass parameters of data properly to COLD LAKE.

    Thank you for your lights.

    An array of fixed size in C is equivalent to a cluster of LabVIEW that contains the same number of identical items, replace the table with a cluster. In addition, structs are always passed by reference and the C function expects a pointer to a structure, you don't need to unbundle. Skip the cluster to function as a single parameter. Try the attached revised version of your VI.

  • allocate memory and call the dll function that writes to the pointer

    Hello!

    I have a DLL that has a function as in the following example, I need to call from labview. In C, I need to allocate memory for data and of course the struct. I add the pointer and the length of the data to the struct and call the function with the struct. The function itself inserts values of the struct and affected memory. Someone at - it a working solution how this can be done with Labview?

    typedef struct Thestruct
    {
    UINT16 val1;
    UINT8 val2;
    UINT8 val3;
    DataLength UINT16;
    UINT8 * data;
    } T_Thestruct;

    MY_API status MY_API_CALL udaReceive (handle, T_Thestruct * args);

    I tried in labview (see photo), but I only got values inside the structure as well as the 1097 error, reserved memory included values as before.

    OK, I found the soluton to my own problem. Alignment on the struct must be corrected in Labview. There must be a value between dataLength 2Bytes dummy and the pointer.

  • two related issues: to call the stored procedure and passing in an array of elements using htmldb_Get

    I need to save items of ApEx generated dynamically via AJAX.  I use the APEX_ITEM API to generate the elements.  At runtime, I have no idea how much of elements are generated on the page, but I know that they're all separate and discreet 'name' attributes, i.e. f01, f02, f03, etc..  As a basic example, if I have to generate a selection list, I know that the parameter "p_idx" of the APEX_ITEM call is to say '3', so select all lists that get generated have a "name" attribute in "f03" DOM, all text elements will be "f01", etc.

    I want to record these data in the database using AJAX.  It is common to call the javascript htmldb_Get function that is standard for the use of an application process, but I am interested in the use of the rarely called upon 'internal' and queryString"options of this javascript function so that I can build the query string to the fly according to what is on the DOM when it tries to save the data they have entered into these items generated by APEX_ITEM.  Someone at - there are good examples of the use of the 'procedure' and 'queryString' the javascript htmldb_Get function parameters?

    I have found a handful of some blogs, messages, etc. online linked to this, but just for most people regurgitate the documentation.  I found this post (https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2549237), which has had a glimpse of hope to move from a table (which is something I need) as a parameter, but as someone in their right mind would check this before you go this route.

    Shane.

    ApEx 4.2.1

    Shane

    Since you mention that you are on 4.2 APEX I advise to use apex.server.process which is replacing the htmldb_Get officially undocumented documented.

    In the literature, it is that the first parameter is the ajaxidentifier but it's actually the name of the process.

    The data object would be something like

    var lData ={f01 : get_value_array('f01')}

    Where is get_value_array

    function get_value_array(pColumnName) {
      var l_values =[];
      apex.jQuery('[name="'+pColumnName+'"]').each(
       function(){
        var l_value;
        l_value = apex.item(this.id).getValue();
        l_values.push(l_value);
       }
      );
      return l_values
    }

    For an example see this demo.
