Need to replace ATI Radeon HD 4650 in a HP Pavilion Elite e9237c

I really need help with my graphics card replacement please. I tried to research something comparable, but my head is spinning now.

My PC was closing on me like 2 times a day. At first I blamed Facebook games but it happened also with only a few Web pages open and no one in front of the computer. I formatted the PC and had a problem with reinstalling windows, but after a few tries it worked. I open and cleaned the dust and turned back to ensured that fans were at work. The fan on the graphics card was not. Is work only high card uses fan or should it at least begin to run on start up?

I though she was stop because it was overheating everything in there.

Well, I think it's time to replace it, but I want something almost the same features, without losing quality.  I also pay attention to the food that I have which is only 300w. Must support the Blu - ray up to 1080 p.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have to dissagree on junking your PC!

Don't listen to that!

I still have a HP desktop computer that is around 15 years (running xp/never was when it first came out I bought?)

In any case, I will say this, I checked it. It will cost about $50.

And what is the load is to fix it, I'm sure that it won't be any where near the price you paid for the PC!

Which I guess was probably somewhere between $600-$1000?

Now regarding your questions, I'm not a guru, but I'll tell you what I did.

On my HPE-400f, I upgraded to a power supply 650 w (Kentech off of ebay for like $25)

BSTAR 650 Watt Dual fan 650W ATX power supply SATA gold

I hope that by drawing air into the top and back with this fan double PSU will also contribute to w/heat issues in the future, compared to the stock fan only. (Make sure you feed what ever you get has the correct connectors especially a pci card video / 6-pin connector!) And Yes, it does!

And a video card that takes care of 3 monitors. (2 dvi & HDMI 1), called

EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (01 G-P3-1351-KR) 1 GB GDDR5 SDRAM PCI Express x 16...

If this one does'nt do, I don't know what will?

I got it for like $39.00 shipped on ebay!

And update my PC with these 2 additions!

I wish I could tell you how it works, but it turns out that I have one of the 2011 model year that HP admits having bad mobo!

So now I'm trying to get them to pay for the fixed Board!

But even if I can't, I'm sure that it will not cost me $900 PC cost me!

(but also, if they are not, I will never own another!)

As I said, I'm not pc-wizz, that's exactly what I did.

In any case, hope that mabe which helped a bit at least. > good luck!

    Hello

I can't update my laptop Satellite L550-PSLW8E-01E00NGR display driver. This is an ATI Radeon HD 4650.
The current version of the driver is 17.08.2009. I tried to update the driver from toshiba, hp, but it the driver is too much since 2009.

And the update of AMD is just the graphics card ATI catalyst SW.
There is no option to update the driver with this SW.

Is there another possibility to update the driver.
I don't know that there is a new version in 2009.

    Thanks for help.

    Hello

If you want to update or install the driver not Toshiba graphics card, you will need to do it in the Device Manager.
There you can choose to update driver and can point to the location where you saved the ATI driver.
This will help to force windows select this driver.

But note; These drivers don't support, overheat protection, which means that in the worst case your GPU could overheat

  • Pavilion Elite HPE 450 t: replacement ati radeon 5570 what info I have to shop with

Hi, my ATI Radeon HD 5570 has pretty much gone for good.  I want to to replace it with something equal or superior performance... but I don't know what I'm looking for when it comes to choosing the size, power and others.   I'm running the 64-bit Intel i7 system and get really confused looking at the descriptions of the video cards on different sites.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Eddie,.

The AMD Radeon 5570 has been very good graphics card in his time.  Your old PC need a graphic card HP legacy which could mean the purchase of a used graphics card.

The 6850 AMD or NVIDIA TI 550 would be a good choice for a replacement.

Do a little measuring inside so that you know how much room is available for a replacement of the graphics card.  Find out what the return policy is before you buy.

  • Pavilion p6267c: upgrading the video card ATI Radeon HP x 64 on hp pavilion p6267c after upgrade from Windows 10

Improved my p6267c HDMI (with factory-installed ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphics card) to Win 7 winning 10 and lost some display resolution.  Had to move to resolution of 1920 x 1080 (recommended setting for my HP 2509 m monitor) up to 1680 x 1050 to maximize the size of the rear screen, to what she was using Win 7.  Now the screen's size, but the text is a bit fuzzy and just not as strong as before.  I've updated the driver to the most recent available for this old 2009 ATI card: 8.970.100.9001 which is the latest ATI and Microsoft for this card running Windows 10.  I tried the support hp and google for a replacement graphics card that will work in this office with its 300 Watt power supply.  I will modernize the card and power if necessary to refine the text I get now.   I'm not a gamer, so did not need graphics high power.  I can't believe there is not an answer out there for someone who has experienced the same problem.  Although I love Windows 10, I even considered back to Win 7.

PROBLEM SOLVED!   I took your suggestion and actually found a good deal on a different graphics card to replace the ati radeon HD 4350. BestBuy.com, I found a highly rated card that users have reported similar problems of fixed resolution after the 10th Winidows upgrade.  The map was available on sale for $40.99 (Orig 59.99).  It was available in my local store for 43.99, but they it ot me for the price online.  I am now running my monitor of 2509 m hp at 1920 x 1080 resolution recommended and everything's fine.  Here is the link for the nvidia GEOFORCE 610 GT 1024 MB DDR3 (model VCGGT610XPB) card:

The provided Driver CD is not working, but the website www.pny.com gave a newer driver for Windows 10 (64-bit).

  • Driver needed XP for Ati Radeon HD 4250 (Thinkpad Edge 14 - model 019923u)

Hello, I have downgraded from Windows 7 to Xp and I have trouble finding the driver for the video card.

The laptop is a Thinkpad Edge 14 - model 019923u.

Does anyone know the correct driver for this model?

    Thank you

Try DRIVERMAX. I had a PC that had no XP drivers. This program found and installed the drivers in XP and had it work. What it does is find a driver for this type of Board/CPU/GPU/webcam/USB card or sound.

Here are the directions out of my head that I remember best:

    • 1 when you load first it (after it index and askes register you), place the mouse on driver downloads and information, click on start the drivermax agent.
    • 2 loading the agent to ensure that its on the 2nd tab updated. If the (part your will install) shows here then select it and then click Download. Click on the 2nd show updates for only selected updates option.
    • 3 now it will go to the site and show you the pilot/s available. I always choose the driver top list. Click the link to download next to her. Click on continue free user. Make sure that you opened with drivermax and not save on the pc.
    • 4 it will then download and let you know when it is ready to be installed. Another thing if the driver (for what your need) does not appear here, then click on the identity of unknown material below start the agent on-screen main drivermax. Then do the same to download and install it.

There are also clips Youtube how to use DRIVERMAX. See you soon! Hope this works for you.

  • Update ATI Radeon 6770 m drivers for HP Pavilion dv6 6141.

As the subject the bed. I need to update my graphics card drivers. According to the catalyst control center, I have an update available. When I try to update, it downloads, installs, but it appears in the control center. It says that I still have to update, even if I did several times. I'm also going to download directly from the site of AMD, but I get a message saying that I don't have any compatible equipment for this update... Basically, it is saying that I don't have a graphics card.

I'm not an expert in the field so I'd appreciate any help at all. All of you who have had the same problems?

    Thanks in advance!

  • HP Pavilion Elite e9280t - need to video card

I've been out of the arena of PC game for many years. With the release of Skyrim, I seek to get back in and want to update my card low video supplied with the machine (ATI Radeon HD 4650).

Problem is that I am naïve about what will work with it. I'm looking for the best ATI card based I can get for less than $200 that suit and will work without upgrading of power supply. I think the power of this machine is 460w? Something about I'm sure. With all these variables such as size, power connectors 8 pin/6 pin, power supply, etc, I'm a little lost.

My machine is 64-bit with 12 GB of ram, quad core i7 920 processor. The graphics card is the weak link in my machine according to the 'Win Exp' score.

    Suggestions?

  • HP 6005 Pro SFF: Replace video card ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics upgrade for HP 6005 Pro SFF

I have a HP 6005 Pro SFF with a 240W PS, and I want to upgrade the video card.  It has an ATI Radeon HD 4200.    An HP Forum person (Paul Tikkanen) recommended an upgrade for a 6005 using a video card optional for the HP 6200 Pro SFF:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814121439&cm_re=hd_6450-_-14-121-439-_-product

Please confirm it also works for the 6005.  If I replace it, can I actually remove the Radeon 4200 and replace it directly at the space of the same card mother slot to save space of PCI Expansion slot, or do I use the expansion PCI Express 16 x slot?   If so, is the procedure for the direct replacement documented anywhere?

    Hello:

The ATI Radeon HD 4200 Video on your PC is the graphics chip integrated according to page 14 of the quickspecs at the link below. In other words, the graphics card is a chip that is soldered to the motherboard.  It is not in an expansion slot.

    http://static.highspeedbackbone.NET/PDF/HP%20Compaq%206005%20PRO%20Business%20pc%20Quick%20Specs.PDF

The dedicated PCI express x 16 slot should be empty now, and this is where you install the card I have recommended.

I don't see why the HD 6450 work.  It works in the dc7800, dc7900, Pro 6000, 6200 pro, 8000 Elite, Elite 8100 and 8200 Elite business desktop PC.

You just need to make sure that uninstall you the HD 4200 graphics card and the driver in Device Manager.  Also check the uninstalling the driver box.

Also uninstall catalyst control center software in the Add/Remove programs in the control panel section, stop and disconnect the PC, install your new video card and the driver for the 6450.

Here is the link to the service manual. See Chapter 2 pp 20-25 for the installation procedures card expansion, paying special attention to the info of PCIe x 16 slot.

  • Intel hd graphics with ATI Radeon graphics card replacement

Hi, I use a computer hp laptop G62 b51SI with a processor intel hd graphics card. However, thinking about changing or supplementing with a graphics card ATI Radeon for gamiing increased performance. Is it possible to do?

    Hello:

It is not possible without having to replace the motherboard together.

There is no removable graphics 'cards' in your laptop.  The GPU is soldered to the motherboard.

You will need to find a mother supported listed in the service manual for your model is equipped with better graphics and then try to find out where you can purchase a because it is unlikely that HP has more of them.

  • Need driver more recent card ATI Radeon 3650 - Satellite Pro A300-1NT

    Hi all

I'm looking for the latest drivers for ATI Radeon HD 3650 onboard Satellite Pro A300-1NT.
During the game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game (2009) by Beenox Inc.... I get squares pixelated on the screen (instead of dust) and possibly a blue screen.

    I use Windows XP Pro
I searched drivers * Toshiba site * and the only one that I found are:
01/12/09 Display Driver ATI Windows XP 8.477

    * Support game * suggests upgrading driver for a newer version.

    * Ati manufacturer support * have driver for ATI Radeon 8650 but not compatibile with Solution Mobile - and asked for Mobile Ati support I got the Transfer:

I ask then is there latest drivers for Windows XP

    Hello

I think you have already answered that question yourself...

As you wrote that you can get all the drivers on the Toshiba site and if it isn t a newer driver available you can nothing more I think. Satellite A300 isn t a laptop of game performance so I think that the display drivers are not so important.

The only way to obtain a more recent version, it's looking on external Web sites. Maybe you can get the desktop pilot working had some changes I put t know but really attention! Other drivers don't have protection against overheating and you could destroy the graphics chip. Be very careful of what you do.

Alternatively, you can search on the Toshiba site for other models of laptops with ATI card too. Maybe, you can get a newer version

  • Drivers/ATI Radeon 4650

I bought my VGN-FW520D a year ago and the drivers for the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics card are now nearly a year a half old. I had some display problems lately with some programs as WindowBlinds and it has been suggested that drivers must be updated. But although there is apparently available updates site ATI says VAIO Laptops must be updated by Sony and there is no update available to esupport. Does this mean I'm stuck with a card near end of life and have to buy another laptop $1300 only 1-2 years later?

The driver from Sony support site has been tested by Sony to work properly on your VGN-FW520D. Certainly, you can go on the AMD website and if you can, load the latest drivers from the chipset from there, but that more recent drivers have not yet been tested by Sony, it would not be supported.

Thank you for your comments - we will spend their genius for a new update on the Support site.

    Hello world
I have a Satellite L30 with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M graphics device.
I installed windows 7 and I have download the catalyst for ati driver on the site, but the computer does not work correctly. If I check the grafic system has recognized a generic VGA device and plug a generic monitor & play and the max resolution is 1024 x 768.
The problem is how to install the correct driver? How can I do recognize the Windows 7 ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M device?

    Thanks in advance.

    Stefano

    Hello

The Toshiba European driver page doesn't seem to provide the Win 7 disks for L30.
The L30 is a bit old and it seems that the drivers Win 7 will come out for this series more

On the European driver page, you can find the Vista display driver
In many cases the Vista drivers work under Win 7

I think you should try your luck and should try to reinstall the display driver of the Toshiba page European driver released for Vista OS.

Otherwise, you need to search on external 3rd-party pages

    Good luck
