NetBook S10-2 wireless

Hello.  Today my S10-2 Netbook wireless function does not work.  I've updated the drivers to uninstall them, but not luck.  Also, I press FN + F5 and I have no devices listed.  What can I do or check? Thank you.

Hello and welcome... You turn on the button wireless on the right side?

SUP yall... Just got my s10 - 3 pre-installed with windows 7 starter, but being the old skool, I reformatted with XP through lenovo driver offers full support. So things have been going pretty well with it, until all of a sudden, he acts as the wireless hardware switch is set to off, even though it is clearly not not off the coast. I was cruising around these forums and goggling wildly and all I can find is people having problems with readycomm, which I have not installed.

Basically... think netbook hardware wireless switch is still off and I do not have installed readycomm. Any thoughts?

ignore me. I did exactly what the last guy said here: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-S-series-Netbooks/S10-3-WiFi-Issues-Wireless-function-antenna-de...

    -Quick start installation

-Repair installation of QS to make it work actually correctly

-Start QS and pressing Fn + F5 to turn on WiFi - this turned the WiFi light on permanently.

-Leaving QS and cold-start in Windows

    flawless victory

  • S10 - 3T wireless problem

My rig to receive yesterday and fought wireless problems.  Thought, he was my network for some time and found if I close the 3 t of the network works fine.

The 3 t at this point works well on the network but sometimes slow.  However any TIME that I try to download a file, it works as usual for a while then just dies.

Stop downloading and it is surfing.  It seems also to kill or slow down the network to a crawl at the same time.

I tried to update the drivers in Device Manager and it says they are the best already.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you for your understanding.

The ends of the ongoing saga I think.

I went to Burger King this morning and connected to their hot spot and the thing that worked great - downloaded a large file on site.

Lenovo, I called and they told me to uninstall the software Lenovo 5 ready.  I did and rebooted and it worked fine and still seems to work very well ;-)  They said that it causes conflicts.

Worked on my unit anyway.  This happens on a platform of Asus here one year, their uninstalled software and it worked fine.

  • Help: Atheros Wireless unable to connect to my network

Hello.  After that I installed the new update of the bios for my Ideapad S10 - 3 (2ACN37WW) I can't connect to my wireless router because wireless adapter does not work, even if it is enabled.  I also deleted and added the profile of my router wireless in the wireless network Manager screen, but it does not appear on the available network to connect to.

I am now connected to the router so that I can send this message.

    What Miss me?

    I found the solution:

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/IdeaPad-S-series-netbooks/S10-3-Wireless-disabled-Windows-Troubleshooter...

This function must be turned off because there is a power switch on the side of the S10-3. Alternatively, remove the switch!

Just got a new Toshiba NB255 today... when I look at the networks without wire around mine shows up... it is not guaranteed... I can not connect with her. My other laptop Toshiba works fine. I can connect with the Netbook with a wire but it is not what I want for a netbook. My wireless connection shows excellent and it does not show a SSID. Can someone please let me know what I can do... Thank you!

    If it's new, it's Windows 7?

These are the Forums of Vista; If the reviews are for Vista.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your router > make sure you have the latest Firmware in Vista for it.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for it last network adapters Vista drivers > download/install the.

    Try without commitment TCP/IPv6:

If you still have internet connection probs, one thing to try is the separation of the TCP/IPv6 (which is done by going to network connection > right click > properties > it uncheck > OK.)

  • NB500 - connectivity of draft N Wireless

Two days ago, I bought a Toshiba nb500 netbook for my wife. An interesting feature, I found was built in wireless n I have a linksys WRT300N that comminicates perfectly at 150 Mbps or up to 270 Mbps with a variety of desktop and laptop computers according to the wireless adapter on the computer. This purchase was my first Toshiba nut, I am aware of the excellent reputation of Toshiba for laptops. All information published on this particular model indicates a speed of wireless "n" and yet I've exhausted all of the suggestions of the Toshiba Tech and my speed is still 54 Mbps. I flashed the last wood, installed the latest Realtek driver, age of less than 1 week, reset the power for maximum performance options. My router is 2.4 GHz and will contact this realtek card. A critic has eaten a speed of 72 Mbps between the router and NB500. Provided by Toshiba ConfigFree utility indicates clearly the type of radio "n" linksys, but connectivity doctor utility a 'g' between the netbook and the router connection. My wife is pleased with the performance of this netbook and a wireless "n" is only really necessary to connect to a network drive. I really am beginning to suspect that Toshiba perhaps overestimated the performance of this netbook. All users have a similar problem with the NB500 model?

    Hey,.

It is also important that you install a more recent version of the firmware on your router in order to check the current version of the firmware of it and check if there is a newer firmware available on the manufactures page. Then download and install it, load default settings of your router and check again.

Also what you can do is to use draft N speed only. In the configuration of your router, you should find an option for speed WLAN. There, you can choose N project only.
Then go to Device Manager and select properties of the WLAN card. Define the project too and restart the laptop.

  • s S10-3 wlan driver problem

Hello, my problem is that I can't use WiFi on my netbook: s10-3s (model '0703'). I formatted the hard drive and install windows7 32 bit (before is was the same, but the starter edition). Usually everything works like magic with win7, but not with the hardware of this netbook. Graphicschip, Ethernet and WirelessLan did not work after the new installation of windows. I went on site support lenovo and downloaded all the drivers in the sections for material that did not work properly. This fixed my problem with the intel graphicschip and the ethernet controller, so I could connect to the internet via my router lan cable. After downloaded and installed all the drivers wlan 4 listed for my model, it was still not working. I have no more unknown device in Device Manager, but I does not recognize wlan networks, so I doubt that any driver worked. I read that the netbook can have one of these chips-WiFi: atheros, broadcom and intel. My netbook seems to have a broadcom one (it says "Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter" in the properties of the adapter). the switch wlan on my netbook is turned on and the led is lit thanks in advance

Ah good... How should I know this?

I solved the problem by installing the power management driver...

the feature of the fn + f5 was not installed at all. After installing the driver I could turn on wlan with fn + f5 and it worked.

    Good bye

  • S10 restore (seemed) Messup - Help!

Hello. Well, today I decided to restore my netbook s10 (new start). But because it was a netbook, I didn't know how to go on this issue. So, I had looked on the web how to the s10 netbook. I now recently a reader of cd for the netbook, but also a copy of Windows XP (sp3) cd fresh got a little while ago. An post said I could from a CD of win to restore the computer, but be careful not to delete the hidden for a restore key partition. I also was making sure to not get deleted for this netbook from Lenovo-ware features.

But instead of reinstalling Windows xp again, I selected to repair windows. So, after that has been done. Windows was loading, but then shortly after the netbook is off! (Do not know if this may have had an effect on installation) He needed be properly charged or plugged.  So, after plugging, I turned on the s10 netbook. He loaded as usual with the startup Lenovo & Quicklaunch splash screen (Lenovo-ware still tac). Then loaded windows xp. Then shown face Veri (work). So then I logged in username identical to before.

Then as he was charge my user (not yet shown office) account, a notification came to ask me to sign, I had to activate Windows. Yes or no. Then, I selected Yes. Desktop was loading. Then nothing. The only thing was the mouse & background. No other load. I waited ten minutes or more. Some functions now did not work (i.e.. Right click, click, key Start Menu, ctrl + r, etc.). The mouse can move.

So, now my question is, what can I do? How can this be repaired? Should I actually install Windows XP SP3 (not repair)? Please help . Thank you & God bless .

Note: At the time this was written, I did outside the OS, Quicklaunch Splashtop.

Hey, all the . Thank you for your help. I solved it myself & with prayer. I realize that when I put in the product key for Windows, I confused with only 1 letter in the code! But then I went back to the Windows installation, this sweet time on the new partition installation (C: deleted, kept the hidden partition). So after doing this the boot always has the startup Lenovo screen, but has not loaded Quick Start. Then loaded Windows & resembled an office of first ordinary Windows (without certain features of netbook Lenovo s10). So, I got the drivers & them installed on it. Then I got my other media-ware programs. Now it works like before, except better & faster (I don't have the stuff that I didn't need that came preinstalled & drivers I do not use or need) . Take care & God bless .

  • Impossible to activate my wireless network card in Windows 7 Home Basic 32-bit

I have a Dell Inspiron 10 netbook with a wireless adapter, but are unable to activate.  When I go on "Change adapter settings" and click on enable, it passes through the clearance process and says "Enabled", but when the "Activé" message disappears, the adapter says still "Disabled", and I can't access my network.  I have other computers connected to the wireless network, so I know that the router/network is OK.  I checked the services and autoconfiguration WLAN service is set to automatic and is started.  I also did the TCP/IP stack reset twice.

What can I do to fix this?

    Hi reda,.

Thank you for your kind response.  Unfortunately, I had already tried all these things before making my post above, but would not allow the adapter.  I have also installed and tried that failed on another computer, with the same results; could not enable.  As a corollary, that I plugged a different usb (type dongle) wireless adapter I have on another computer, and it worked perfectly, so I came to the conclusion that the card is defective, has contacted the seller (Newegg) and got a RMA number.  Then, I ordered another mini adapter of the same brand as that worked.

  • My wired network cannot access computers connected wirelessly

    Very strange problem of networking:

Everything is Windows 7 and the network is defined as a working network.

My laptop (wireless) can see and access my desktop (wired), but my desktop computer, although it can see my laptop, cannot access.
If I connect the laptop cable, the Office can then access. I do not change anything, just plug in the cable.

If also connected to my netbook with unusual results. The netbook runs Windows 7 starter and is wireless
He can see the desktop and the laptop and access, but does not appear in its own computer network list in the Explorer.
It is visible in the desktop browser, but are not accessible from it. It does not appear on the Explorer of the laptop at all.
If I have the cables up to the netbook, the Office can then access it, but the netbook can then access the laptop if it is wireless.

Just to clarify - netbook on wireless - I can access the laptop (wireless or wired)
NetBook on cable (wireless or disable as well) I can still see the laptop, but cannot access it.

When I first put this network - a couple of years - all spoken at all. I think I lost it after an upgrade of windows, but don't know when because I rarely access the laptop from the desktop, usually the opposite.
Anyone got clues? Or how can I delete all networks and start again because I have a different network (same working group) on each PC name, but I can't change the names - windows seems to decide what to call them.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

I would appreciate if you can help me with the following information.

    1. what happens when you try to access wireless computers? You receive an error message/code?

    2. don't you try to access folders to disable firewall/antivirus?

  • S12 / S10 SPECIFICATIONS - PRODUCT CODE M19KSUK + M19KTUK

Can someone point me in the right direction? I am looking for a complete specification for the range of Netbooks S10 and S12 and the Thinkpad Edge 11 ".

I'm sure that I've seen a PDF document that lists all of the models and their specifications, but I can't find it now. I saw the documents listed here http://www.lenovo.com/psref/ but they don't seem to list the S12 models at all. I guess some models I'm looking for are abandoned, but presumably the specifications should be available somewhere?

Please note that I am looking for UK models.
