    Hi Aaron Braun,

    1. What is the error message you receive library breaks down?

    2. you remember to make changes on the computer before this problem?

There is a known issue on some computers that have a chain very long user agent in Windows Internet Explorer. This problem occurs when the user-agent string exceeds 260 characters. There is currently no work around supported for that matter.

For more information, see the Microsoft article and try the steps mentioned below.

    Hi all

It is a known problem with Netflix in Windows Media Center. It is caused by the presence of a very long user agent string in Internet Explorer. For more information about the agent user channels, see the following MSDN article. There is currently no supported workaround by modifying manually the user agent string can cause problems of compatibility with some Web sites.

  • Netflix no longer works in Windows Media Center

    Hello!

Recently (a week ago) my Netflix stopped working through Windows Media Center.  When I try to start the Netflix app in WMC, I just get the message 'there is a problem with the application.  Try again later. »

I reinstalled Netflix in WMC, update of Silverlight, and yet, it does not solve the problem.  However, on some other user accounts on my computer it works fine again.  I don't know what to do.

    Help?

I started having exactly the same problem a couple of days. The only thing that I did is to install Visual Studio 2010 and Silverlight 4. Since Netflix is a Silverlight application, I'm guessing this has something to do with it. Upgrade Silverlight this week?

Now I'll uninstall Netflix in Windows Media Center and Silverlight 4, and then reinstall Netflix in Windows Media Center. If this solves the problem, I'll report back.

Update : I have uninstalled both in the order above. Then I ran the Media Center and clicked on Netflix. It prompted me to reinstall the Netflix player, that I let him. As soon as it was over, I have connected and managed to go my instant queue (it wouldn't let me do it before).

Then, I tried to look at something and was motivated I need Silverlight. I let it install, knowing that Silverlight 4 is now current. However, he installed Silverlight 3.0.50106.0 . Now he can play very well, however.

Update #2: I closed Windows Media Center and went to http://www.silverlight.net. Here, I chose "Windows Runtime" in the box "Install Silverlight". This updated my system for Silverlight 4.0.50401.0 . I started Windows Media Center, choose something in my instant queue and began to watch.

So, my conclusion is that maybe it was a problem with Silverlight all along. Try to uninstall Silverlight on your system and put it back in place, starting from silverlight.net, or let the Netflix player to do it for you.

  • Netflix in WMC gives internet connection error, started yesterday, works in the browser

Original title: WMC-Netflix's internet connection error

I tried to use Netflix in Vista Windows Media Center (WMC) last night and got an error. The error says I need to check your internet connection.  I checked the connection and it worked.  Also in IE8 I logged into my Netflix account and released a video of my Instant queue.  This proves that my internet connection and a Netflix account working. I tried to re-login to Netflix of WMC, but once again the message on checking the internet connection appears.  I restarted the PC, but that did not fix the problem. Netflix I uninstalled and reinstalled, no not yet fixed.  Can anyone help?  I've been a happy user of WMC-Netflix for several months (so far).  Notice, 2 security patches Windows automatically installed yesterday before I tried to use Netflix.

I just noticed that NetFlix had started working again for me with Windows Media Center. Mysteriously, as if by magic... it seems to have fixed itself after just a few weeks!

  • Netflix screen heart-wrenching questions in WMC

I'm having a problem which seems to be fairly common, but I couldn't find anything in terms of support. Googling found me only similar complaints, but no solutions.

While Netflix streaming through the Windows Media Center plugin, I experience screen tearing - lines that Flash on the screen - including then panoramic photos or photos with flashing light or too. Adjust the refresh rate and resolution have not solved the problem, and connection speed is not the issue.

Netflix streaming via a browser does not lead on heartbreaking display. Most people blame Netflix itself or Silverlight (because, apparently, screen tearing wasn't a problem until that Netflix spent in Silverlight), but the version of the browser using Silverlight so it's not correct: he must have something to do with the WMC plugin specifically. I continue to look in the browser, but then I don't get the advantage of using my remote computer or the convenience of WMC.

    Thanks for any help!

nVidia Geforce 8600 M GT graphics card

I found the answer! Silverlight 5 Directors Edition solves all problems tearing even on my 720 p 55 "screen. Full silverlight 5 won't be released until later next year, but luckily I found this.

Just install the exe file and voila! (Please share with as many people as you can)

  • WMC in Vista 32 bit premium new Hdd and netflix connection failure.

OK I've never had this junk happen before, so I'm asking for help.

I have win vista 32 bit home premium 4 GB of mem and a brand new 500 gb Hdd and WMC is not leting connect me to netflix.  What is the problem?  Everything else works fine.  The thing is to be a real P.I.A. on this topic too.  Telling me my network connection is down when I was using WMC to net stuff just before.  I have not logged into Netflix using my browser and even my PS3 no problem at all.  I used another computer and had no problems ether.  Where the question of what is the problem.  The only new thing is a new hard drive all software is EXACTLY the same as on my old Hdd.

    Hi Ghostwolf8,

    ·         What happens when you try to connect to Netflix?

    ·         You receive an error message?

    ·         What web browser do you use?

    ·         The problem happens with Netflix only?

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Netflix as well as the silvery light and check if it helps.

  • Netflix in WMC «there was a problem of data recovery...» »

I installed the latest round of updates (Ultimate) of Windows Vista and it apparently burst Netflix in WMC.  Now, I get the error:

"There was a problem of data recovery. Make sure your internet connection is working and try again. »

Internet works on the machine.  I reinstalled Silverlight (v4) and Netflix for WIndows Media Center.

How to diagnose and repair the problem?

    Thank you!

    Keith...

Sorry for the delay, but I've been busy (in my free time) trying to get this to work.

I gave up trying to resuscitate MCE and installed a brand new Windows Vista Ultimate Edition with Service Pack 2.  After apply all WIndows patches and installation of Silverlight, I have the "Netflix" element in MCE.  He invites me to install, what I'm doing.  However, every time I start MCE and go to Netflix, he tells me to do reinstall - no login screen.

I tried all the "mcupdate" article and then supported your steps above, but no go.

I did this twice, so it wasn't just a fluke.  Apparently, the part of Netflix to MCE is not detect the plug-in that it installed.

Any thoughts on what to do then?

    Thank you again...

    Keith...

Later: I ran "mcupdate" after the steps you suggested, and now Netflix is gone again!

Later: same problem on my other computer running MCE and Vista.  I don't want to mess up this computer so I left as what.

Later: opening of a new post on problems become Netflix to work with a clean install.

  • WMC does not work with Netflix streaming.

After the last windows update the Viewer from netflix in WMC will not work whenever I start it it says he struggles to retrieve data and that I should check my internet connection.  You see, the rest of the computer including WMC (internet tv) works very well.  How can I fix it?

    Hi LaughingJ0k3r,

I suggest check with Netflix and make sure that they are not experiencing any issue on their end.
