• Driver for the Officejet 710 under Windows 7 64-bit

  Where can I find a driver to run my old Officejet 710 on my Windows 7 laptop?

  It is connected via the Generic USB-parallel adapter.  The connect Windows successfully installed"assumption of the USB printer"but fails to find a printer driver on Windows update.  The Manual Installation procedure (from HP) fails to offer a 710-Win7 driver and a search of the HP Web site also fails to show a Win7 driver for 700 series.  However, I found elsewhere on this forum (link at the end) the procedure to patch a 700 series driver works correctly undet 64-bit, so I guess a pilot must exist...

  Can someone point me to a download?

  I fear that the 710 Officejet is no longer supported by any superior to XP Windows.

  The document above, refer to the Deksjet 710, which is a different printer model...

• Leading zero is dropped after mapping

  Hello. In collaboration with FDMEE 11.1.2.3.700. File comes with several zeros for the dimension account. Have a script Jython to keep only the last six digits and that works very well. Some of the accounts have always properly leading zeros, such as 070000 and 041205, and I can see in the source account column in workbench. The accounts are then mapped, either by mapping explicit to manage sign flips or * to * for passthrough. Accounts that are explicitly mapped come more correctly: 070000 corresponds to the 070000. But accounts with zeros through map passthrough are declining the zero no significant: 041205 traverse * to * but as 41205.

  Thoughts? Don't think that we have had this problem before patching to 700.

• FDM & ERPI to FDMEE - update approach/challenges?

  We are in FDM/ERPI 11.1.2.2.300 (used for loading the data of EBS systems and files in HFM 11.1.2.2.300) and planning to upgrade (in the existing environment [upgraded on-site]) to 11.1.2.3. As we see that FDM/ERPI are integrated together as FDMEE in 11.1.2.3, we had gray on how FDMEE would work contrary to FDM/ERPI disparate large area.

  We needed contributions from veterans, or anyone who had lived the upgrade to answer subsequent queries.

  Queries:

  [1] we have come to know that the FDM and ERPI are integrated together as FDMEE in 11.1.2.3.

  [a] since we have FDM and ERPI as separate components in 11.1.2.2.300, how should set FDM and ERPI components upgraded to FDMEE? Specific measures which must be followed to approach?

  [b] are there any known issues / challenges involved in the upgrade of disparate FDM & ERPI to FDMEE?

  [c] how would work artifacts (11.1.2.2.300) ERPI in FDMEE - is there any specific migration, or any required manual adjustment after upgrade (11.1.2.3) to have artifacts of the ERPI (as the system source, time mapping, location, import formats, data load mapping etc.) running in the FDMEE?

  [d] Similarly how artifacts FDM (of 11.1.2.2.300) would work in FDMEE? Are there specific migration or manual configuration required after upgrade (11.1.2.3) having FDM artifacts (such as mapping, validation etc rules) running in FDMEE?

  [2] since only ODI 11.1.1.7 is compatible with 11.1.2.3 (from the compatibility matrix), how we improve 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7 ODI? Y at - there a patch available to upgrade or should we uninstall ODI 11.1.1.6 and install 11.1.1.7 ODI?

  Any insightful answer will be helpful for us because it will help us gain clarity/confidence and comfort in the upgrade to 11.1.2.3.

  That you upgrade 11.1.2.2.300 for EMP 11.1.2.3 (in the existing environment [upgraded on-site]), it is called application patching EMP 11.1.2.3 on EMP 11.1.2.2

  [a] when you apply the patching, FDM 11.1.2.2 gets upgraded to FDM 11.1.2.3,.

  and ERPi gets upgraded to FDMEE 11.1.2.3

  [b] I have not encountered any questions while improving the FDM

  [c] Please check epm_install.pdf for EMP 11.1.2.3 for upgradation to FDM and FDMEE task (see page 257 / 258)

  We have recently applied the corrective update EMP on EMP 11.1.2.0 111.2.1.
  We have following the architecture,
  
  database server: sql server 2005
  Server Foundation (OS = windows server 2008): HSS, EPMA, Manager Calc, EAS, EIS, provider's server, planning
  Essbase Server (OS = windows server 2008): essbase
  
  After you apply the patching EMP 11.1.2.1, we apply after Electrodes for IE 9 compactibility i.e EMP 11.1.2.1.600 patches
  
  1. patch 14119724 (Workspace)
  2 14142678 patch (Shared services)
  3 patch 14224664 (EPMA)
  4 patch 14464109 (planning)
  
  After you apply above patches, all users get error when opening planning web form through the workspace of all client computer.

  When restore us only planning patch 14464109 , issue of "communication error with the server. callback failed for the data entry page "get resolved for all users, but failed for a single user IE"user xyz" "

  user xyz can take foundation server RDP can open any form of planning successfully in vain get when doing the basic machine.
  
  I have following question:
  1. Why do we get error "error communicating with the server. callback failed for the data entry page"after you apply the fixes to IE9
  
  2. after cancellation all patches or planning one patch, why the user xyz always get the error but not other users

• Apply patch 16964825 ADF EMP 11.11.2.3.500 error

  I installed 11.1.1.2.3 EMP and then apply the super patch (as John calls) 17529887 successfully. Everything works well except the planning administration Assistant of the workspace that could not be loaded.

  As mentioned in the blog of Cameron, I followed the step exactly the same to apply the patch to the ADF. It fails with the following error. I stopped all EMP services before running the patch apply.

  

  Any help. Am I missing any server to stop!

  Open Task Manager, processes tab, select 'Online' command 'column select' in the view menu.

  Now just check the command line and kill if any process calling E:\Oracle\Middleware... (your middleware_home path).

  or just restart the box.

  Note:-all services must be stopped.

  First, you configure the new instance and check if it works well. Then apply patches, following the patch readme. Patches usually does not require a full configuration.

  It's my first patch and I want some orientation...:

  -J' updated EMP 11.1.2.1 in EMP 11.1.2.2.000 consisting of Foundation services, Essbase, EAS, APS, workspace server and Essbase studio components.

  Below two patches can be applied on the release: "11.1.2.2.100,11.1.2.2.101,11.1.2.2.102" according to the readme file
  16171596 "PATCH SET UPDATE: ORACLE ESSBASE STUDIO 11.1.2.2.103 SERVER (Patch)" for "Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit).
  16171601 "PATCH SET UPDATE: ORACLE ESSBASE STUDIO CONSOLE MSI 11.1.2.2.103 (Patch)" for "Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit).
  
  and patch below can be applied to version "11.1.2.2.100,11.1.2.2.101,11.1.2.2.102,11.1.2.2.103".

  The base for products Essbase version is 11.1.2.2.100, so you will already be at this level.

  You should be able to apply 16171601 or 16674524,.103 must contain previous patches.

  Configuring Web Services security

  If you upgrade 11.1.2.2.000, run the OWSM configuration scripts. These steps are required only if the ERP Integrator is integrated with the account reconciliation (ARM) Manager, control of PeopleSoft or merger Financials commitments and do not have applied 11.1.2.2.300

  1. Ensure that the Integrator ERP patch has been applied and the ERP Integrator is configured successfully.
  2. Ensure that the ERP Integrator and administration WebLogic Server are in working order.
  3. Run the scripts to the server on which is deployed ERP Integrator. To run scripts:
  4. Start a Windows command prompt.
  5. Under UNIX/Linux, open a terminal shell.
  6. Navigate to < EPM_ORACLE_HOME > / Products/FinancialDataQuality/bin.
  7. To configure the ERP with ARM Integrator web services:
  8. Update of wls - ARM.properties with the username administrator WebLogic, password and the URL of the server administrator.

  These steps are not necessary as soon as we are already in 11.1.2.2.300 version? Please confirm.

  So according to the patch notes - no you do not.

  That said, I would check see if ERPi has been fixed, so you can be sure.

• confused about the want 700-074 update bios - it's for my computer?

  I am a happy owner of a 700-074 HP Envy computer. I have a question about a recent update BIOS I've seen on the software and drivers download page on the main site HP.COM. I frequently check the site for updates of drivers and software.

  The update in question is classified

  Update BIOS HP Compaq consumer desktop PC (SSID family ROM 2AF3)

  Although the ROMA family corresponds to the family on my computer, it lists the update of a HP Compaq computer.

  This BIOS does the 700-074 want system specifically? I guess it's because it it lists to the title of the download page for 700-074 want systems. However, I don't want to patch my BIOS with the update incorrect if it is considered an error.

  Any help will be appreciated.  Thank you!

  All your doubts will be erased when you download the adapter on the site of bristlecone pines. You will get an installation/configuration file which will give you all the information you need.

  The map varies with the version. I've implemented successfully on 11.1.2.3.530 FDMEE. Honestly, this type of pain if you do not follow the process correctly. But all the bugs are fixed in the new patch and Oracle has certified that this patch will be the best for the integration of SAP.

  Once integrated with success (at least successfully reverse engineering) you will need create all objects like import formats, locations, mapping of data load rules etc...

  I need to install a 11.1.2.3.500 system, which method is the best when I'm building the system from scratch? I have developed the following methods, but note of course that is well or better...

  (A)

  -Install the 11.1.2.3 on servers.

  -Install 11.1.2.3.500 patch installed on top of the 11.1.2.3 for respective applications...

  -Run Configuration with 11.1.2.3.500.

  (B)

  -Install 11.1.2.3.

  -Configure EMP at a 11.1.2.3

  -Install 11.1.2.3.500 game patches.

  -Re-run the configuration for 11.1.2.3.500.
