Netflix/Silverlight stop working, is 10 Firefox a 64-bit browser?

It apparently takes MS Silverlight to stream Netflix. Streaming has stopped working for me every since Firefox updated to 10. MS wrote that Silverlight works with a 32-bit browser.

I had the same problem. I am running Windows Vista and Firefox 10.0.2 (I think).

What worked for me was to download Safari browser, then download Microsoft Silverlight from there.

Then, I liquidated Safari (I just like Firefox better) and reopened Firefox. Went to Netflix and I can watch new videos!

Hakalo, here is another suggestion, and it's what I have on my computer. First of all, I went to the download page of Firefox and downloaded Firefox version 3.6.17 on my desk. Then I went into Control Panel (cp) (start, Control Panel, add remove programs) and deleted firefox to my computer [uter. I have then closed cp and went on the desktop and installed 3.6.17 immediately all the problems of ff, I had, went.

    In fact when you download a program my computer put on the desktop because it's where I want it to be, your situation might be different. You can check this in tools, options, general.l;

  • You Tube videos stopped working today on Firefox?

    Site: crownguitarfest.org

Videos YouTube integrated worked fine until today? Now they mistake: "year error occurred, please try again later." To learn more.

The videos still work perfectly in Chrome and work well in Safari (by installing extension "ClickToPlugin" Safari, the videos now play in HTML5 mode, but is no longer link to You Tube).

In Firefox, they play or link to You Tube plus. I've updated to the latest Firefox and Flash. I've been looking for this all day today and comes and goes with my accommodation at the Site Ground support team, but we have not been able to solve this problem, so I am contacting you in desperation.

Can you please help me to get the videos Tube work you properly in Firefox?

    Thank you
    John

I saw the errors on your site and then I saw one on my own Web site at http://www.markheadrick.com/entertainment.shtml and then he started work there.

Maybe something strange YouTube or tracert.

I noticed on your site when I click on the link at the top of the drive, he went here: https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/watch?v=mfDa5sS3JqI that generated a 404 error. If I take the "-nocookie" part then it finds the fine video on YouTube.

  • AYahoo (business) account with two email addresses stopped working properly on Firefox a few days ago. OK in other browsers, Firefox ok on other accesoriess.

Worked fine until a few days ago. We have an account of Yahoo business, with two addresses. Normally, we can see only an e-mail account to the time, and to change the points of view, there is a drop-down list box top left of Yahoo mail which normally allows the selection of the desired account. Now in these last days, by selecting the drop-down list box only will take you to the Yahoo profile update page, not the drop down menu which allows us to change the e-mail account, we want to see. Correct operation is noted in IE9, but neither Firefox 32-bit or 64-bit allows you to select the second email address.

  • Netflix has stopped working...

Overnight last Netflix began to give me a "Cannot connect" error messages. I could still put on with my iPod Touch so I know that the servers are still working. I tried to wipe the cache, then the data and log in again, but nothing helped. I'm always available with no option to update. The only thing I can think to do is to uninstall Netflix and install from scratch, the new version manually. I don't know if that's what I'm supposed to do...

Ah, I see. It froze on one episode. I thought I'd clear the cache and data would have set who. ??

It is not a good option, but why not backup everything, note your apps and factory resets the K1? Looks like something went wrong with netflix when it froze...

  • Drop-down menu of Firefox address bar Sporatically stops working

I had this problem for about a year and some parts of the year are worse than others, and now, according to the latest update of Firefox, this problem is at its absolute worst.

The drop-down menu in the address bar of Firefox sometimes stops displaying my newest and popularly seen the websites that I have visited. Whenever I have updated Firefox, the problem goes away and he used to stay at the gap to end of weeks in a row, but now the drop stops working almost whenever I close Firefox after this last update a few days earlier.

This problem persists in the Mode of Firefox safe and apparently appears randomly any plugins/extensions I can I have installed/enabled.

I am at a complete loss here and would appreciate any help because this drop in the address bar is one of my favorite features in any browser, and it becomes annoying to have to reinstall the plugins more (when I use the Sync feature to reinstall the plugins, the problem is even worse).

For problems with the file places.sqlite (bookmarks, historical) database, you can check in the Firefox profile folder.

If the extension of Maintenance of places cannot repair the database places.sqlite file remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder to rebuild the database places.sqlite latest JSON Firefox backup in the folder bookmarkbackups.

  • Flash on Firefox 42 10 of Windows has stopped working.

Flash player worked fine with Firefox 41 and he stopped. I'm not aware of any update flash that's happened, but we could have. Meanwhile, Firefox upgraded to 42. Flash still does not work. When I go to a web site that requires flash I get a black box with a red circle with a white f in him and it just hangs there. My journal uses Olive Software to allow you to read their paper and it does. It would be useful that I had a list of plugins and addons required to use the Flash. I really want to get Flash to work again. It's a pain to go to Microsoft Edge to visit Web sites requiring Flash. Thanks for your help.

If necessary, I'd be ready to go with everything, but I do not know how to proceed.

There was an update to Adobe Flash Player today. I might recommend that you reinstall the extension:

  • Why has my firefox stopped working since Thursday afternoon 10/15/15?

Firefox worked fine and now all of a sudden, it stopped working. My Internet Explorer works, but I hate using it. Why and what do I do? Help, please.

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or limit Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Bookmarks have stopped working in Firefox 41.0.1

Bookmarks have stopped working (i.e. I can't create new ones) in Fx 41.0.1. My old favorites are still there and they still work as expected. In the past, when I created a bookmark (' bookmarks > Bookmark this page') I would get a dialog box so that I could determine whenre the bookmark has been going. Now I get nothing, and I can't find any new bookmark.

I don't know exactly when Fx itself 41.0.1 upgrade, but I first noticed this problem 2-3 days ago.

Hi, it is possible that the update has interfered with one of your extensions - a number you need! So, try Firefox Mode safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

If it's OK in Mode without failure, you will need to temporarily disable all of your extensions one by one until you find the culprit.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.
