  • How can I get my netflix and hulu accounts to load to the appleTV

We use netflix and hulu on our smart TV, but have some questions then got an AppleTV.  How can I get these accounts to get on screen the AppleTV.  The App store don't show them not as "in the cloud" to download?

    Hi Diane

Once you're on the appleTV, you shouldn't be on the interface (right now all what you're used to seeing) of your smart TV.

After you have connected your your ATV HDMI cable to your TV, your TV remote, you should be able to go to the respective HDMI (usually the key to which is called input or Source)

Once you see the ATV interface, netflix should be there. You should perhaps update your ATV first and configure it to your wifi for the first time.

  • Why Netflix asking you to connect on Apple TV?

3rd generation Apple TV all up-to-date with software updates etc.

About 50% of the time when I start the Netflix app from the Apple TV interface, I wonder to return my email and password for Netflix.  I've been doing this for months now and it's a pain to have to enter again with the Apple TV remotely and even "Remote" app on my iPhone.  I contacted Netflix and they say it could be a problem with the device, which is the cause to a loose association to the Netflix account.  Everyone knows this or have any suggestions on how to fix?

    Thank you!

This seems odd. It's a very small chance that someone is playing tricks on you. If someone else (including the possibility of netflix employees) have your username and password, he or she can log on remotely (from another computer) and log out of your session or all currently connected sessions (who will sign your out automatically) to make you crazy.

I would go to a computer, sign in, change the password and security questions and answers, wait a few hours, reconnect to netflix to apple tv and see what he does now. I doubt there is a problem with the apple tv because it works very well (if it works fine as you only) with other applications.

If this does not help then create an apple tv reset to factory settings it may take you 10-15 minutes (save all your hassle of pulling hair...) If you have hair... (LOL). In addition, you can take screenshots of all your settings from apple photo so you remember how to set them up again after the reset. I usually use my smart phone to take pictures rather than things written down... its faster and easier.

  • Flickering on Netflix after update of the Sierra

Since the update of my MBP 13 yesterday, there is a massive amount of flicker watching Netflix mode full-screen.   Update of Silverlight has not solved the problem.

Does anyone have a possible solution for this?

    Thank you

I think I'm having the same problem! I don't know what is the appropriate word for what is happening, but my "flicker" happens every minute or so when I watch Netflix full screen. A very short time (about 1 second) the image type of duplicates and moves to the right very quickly. For me, this only happened on El Capitan.

    A few statistics:

    • MacBook Pro MF839 (13 inches, retina, early 2015, 128 GB SSD)
    • Sierra of MacOS

Here are a few tests that I have worked on:

    • I made a safe start-up and also a PRAM Reset - no improvement.
    • This problem happens on Safari and Chrome, so I think that it is not associated with browser. Probably a problem with the video card rendering.
    • If I change the scale display mode and choose all options but the default, the flickering stops (so it only happens when he "feels like 1280 x 800').
    • If while I watch Netflix I move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen (display of the menu bar) and stay there, the flickering stops.

@plantbased: could you share your settings, just so we know if we have the same problem, or if other people can help us?

  • Netflix iOS 10

After the upgrade to iOS 10, Netflix crashes immediately on my AppleTV and iPhone 6s pro 4th gen. Any ideas? I called Netflix and they did not know and did not help. They said it takes Apple problem and call them.

Hello. You have restarted these devices? This always helps after a reboot. Also check the updates of the Netflix app. I did notice that reports it in the Apple TV forum, then it cannot be generalized.

  • Is there a way for Netflix to Macbook Apple TV airplay (3rd generation)

    Hello.

I just got an apple TV (3rd generation) and I have a Macbook pro 15 2012 model late retina. The Netflix on Apple TV app works fine for me, but her thing is that my parents or my girlfriend need of subtitles in the language which is not offered by netflix, so I need to add subtitles external source and I can do that on the Macbook. However, Netflix doesn't let me airplay Macbook from Apple tv, which gives me a display error, and I suggest that I make sure that I am not not using airplay to fix. Is there a way to get around this restriction?

Hello. I think it's a restriction built into the Netflix app so it is probably pretty hard to beat. You could try mirroring, that might work. Incidentally, when you use the basic AirPlay, ATV will flow the video directly from the server, so your subtitles does not appear anyway.

There are several possible reasons that you encounter.

    Let's start with the following:

    1. Stop your Mac.
    2. Load OS X Recovery now and r (two fingers) while you start up your Mac with a third finger.
    3. Mac OS X utility screen, release these two fingers.
    4. Choose to get help online.
    5. Safari will launch, but it will not have your bookmarks, Favorites, history and other preferences, including your Netflix account information so you need to sign in using your credentials for Netflix.
    6. Determine if you can load and watch a Netflix movie in recovery mode.

Restart your Mac normally and describe your results.

If the problem does not occur in recovery mode, but returns after restarting your Mac normally, please read If Safari is slow, unresponsive, which closes unexpectedly or has other issues - Apple Support. • How can I pay for a Netflix membership?

    Right...

I have an Apple TV: a fourth generation, complete with a few apps.

I usually rent movies and buy albums.   Generally?   I pay for it with credit that I have loaded on my account, by exchanging an iTunes gift card.

I THINK I have the Netflix app: to increase access number of movies and TV shows that I watch.   But I'm not clear on how it is paid for.

Netflix would take money from the credit on my account?   Or could it be that I have to pay with my credit card?

None of the individual bits I've seen on the site of Netflix seems to be clear.   Any help would be appreciated.

Netflix works exactly like all of your other purchases on the iTunes Store. All purchases and subscriptions through Apple and all this payment method that you have configured in your account. With subscriptions, it is better to put in place credit card, if your payments are deducted automatically, so you don't have to watch your balance.

  • Firefox 43 - Netflix - not recognized Silverlight, does not.

    Using Windows 7 64-bit SP1. Using Firefox 43 32 bits.

After the upgrade to Firefox 43 Netflix doesn't recognize of Silverlight and the forces of reading in the built-in player to HTML5. HTML5 player uses 90% cpu and therefore unusable. Tried the usual solutions: clear the cache etc. uninstalling, re-installing Silverlight; turn it back on. Silverlight is still not recognized or work. Tried the Microsoft test site. Says that Silverlight is installed and running. I tried Netflix in Internet Explorer. Siverlight works.

I need one of two solutions: (1) work Silverlight; or (2) use HTML5 player with a CPU use moderate.

    Thank you.

Thank you. Change the user-agent string might work, but I don't want to change the headers.

Bottom line from my perspective: Silverlight cannot be used in Firefox 43 with Netflix. The change was not documented or communicated in the release notes December 15. The above blog ads were released on 17 December and State single reading HTML5 is available, which is different from saying that Silverlight is not available.

My time has been lost for stupid reasons.

  • I use VPN USA because service am expat US living in Mexico, 2 streams netflix, etc, will be your do not track service interfere with it?

I just want to try your not to follow the service, but I was wondering if this disturbs paying us VPN service I use to get the USA from NEtflix, stream masterpiece, versions etc.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi imfaithy2, the new protection of follow-up based on private 42 Firefox browsing should not affect it. Web sites will still be able to detect your location based on the ip address assigned to you by your ISP or vpn service provider. However known trackers should be forbidden to follow your navigation on several different sites.
