netsvcs svchost.exe using too much speed processor - Windows 7

Hello

My laptop that runs windows 7 works very slowly if at all during startup or even to open programs. I open the Task Manager > performance > resource monitor and find svchost netsvcs uses more than 90% of the CPU. I found by suspending the process of that CPU usage falls considerably to about 12%. I tried searching, but am not very computer. I installed, updated and scanned with malwarebytes, essentials of microsoft. I came across a thread, which suggests HijackThis, I ran, but I'm not sure what to fix and what not to do. Here is the log:

I have disabled the automatic updates after the last round of updates, and now, all of a sudden, explorer.exe and svchost.exe use too much memory... enough to interfere with other programs, I try to use.

    Help?

Windows XP Professional - Svc Pack 3 processor: Intel (r) Pentium (r) D CPU 2.80GHz CPU speed: 2.73 GHz memory: 512 MB

Why you turn off automatic updates?

There are between the two options. I just set it to notify. When it is practical, I go to the Microsoft Update slte and use the custom (not Express) option. This gives the user full control of the update of trial.

You will have a better idea of the cause of the problem using Process Explorer.

    Download Process Explorer.
For more information about Process Explorer, see here:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/SystemInformation/ProcessExplorer.mspx

With svchost.exe provide us a list of services using the process. There are number of processes that are using svchost.exe, so we need to know that we provide more targeted assistance. Right click on the process, click on properties and look at the Services tab.

Solution Explorer. exe has a number of subprocesses. Select the sub-process, click Properties and check the Services tab.

Have you recently changed all types of starting any service. This often leads to the problem. Users often disable a reflection of service to speed up the system performance. In practice what is done is of one or several programs to malfunction.

  • Why system32\svchost.exe using too much memory

My computer freezes several times a day.  I have to wait several minutes to get it working again.  When it starts up, it shows a window saying c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe uses a lot of memory.  What is the cause for this?

    Hi Cyndy62,

    1. When did you start to question?

2 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

    3. This occurs when you use a specific application or all applications?

    Step 1:

You can check in safe mode and check if it uses the same energy...

Start your computer in safe mode

    Step 2:

If you are not faced with the question in safe mode, then you can try to perform a clean boot and see if it helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

After the troubleshooting steps, please refer to clean the boot link to put the computer to normal startup mode.

  • Svchost.exe using too much cpu!

I have a Windows 2003 Media operating system, svchost.exe occupies almost all my cpu.  I tried to download the update, but I already have service pack 3.  Not sure why this problem arises now because it seems to be a problem that Microsoft fixed in 2007.  Help, please! I read that there is an agent 3 or something like that which solves the problem. What happens if anything do I need to download.  I will also try to see if the problem pops up in safe mode.  I'll look to see where the svchost is still running.

Download and run the "Process Monitor" freeware.  It's a task manager on steroids.  Find the svchost that uses all CPUS and place your cursor over the name of "svchose.exe".  A pop-up window displays all the services covered by it.  Go to the Services (start-> Run-> 'services.msc') screen, check for these services, and by a stop or pause these services while monitoring your CPU usage.  You should find it pretty quickly.

  • Explorer.exe uses too much CPU

My explorer.exe uses too much CPU (almost 100%). Then an error message appears-

This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way.
For more information, contact the application support team.

    Help, please

    Hello Rahul,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum.

I understand that explorer.exe is using too many CPU resources. I'll help you with this problem.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. what security software is installed?

    3. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

To resolve this issue, let us try these methods:

    Method 1.

Advanced startup options (including safe mode): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

    Microsoft safety scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Warning of Security Scanner: there could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

    Method 2.

You can run the system maintenance Troubleshooter and check.

Open the troubleshooting of System Maintenance Utility: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-system-maintenance-troubleshooter

  • Update Windows using too much memory in Windows XP

In the last week I came across many computers where windows update is slowing down the computer because it uses over 400MB of ram.  This seems to affect Windows XP.  In the Task Manager wuauclt.exe and svchost.exe are the two files involved.  When Windows Update is disabled, everything is back to normal.  If you try to update Windows via the Windows Update Web site, there is no answer.  Please tell us what to do.

  • Svchost is using too much memory and causes other problems

I have a strange problem. I always have a remarkable svchost process that uses a lot of memory. It doesn't bother me, if I am just browsing the web, but when I run a program so it does make a difference. Now, here's where the problems start. Sometimes I can't start even some programs while this process is running. Programs would freeze everything trying to launch and they will stay like that until I kill the svchost that takes up my memory. After I kill the process the program I already started will be complete loading, but the process killed will come back and start hogging my memory still. It seems to interfere with many things. I reinstalled windows, thinking that it was caused by a windows update, but even without updates, it is still at work.

Let me know what information should I provide for you to help me solve this problem and I'm open to sharing.

I have it down to a signle service.

    Multimedia class Scheduler

It uses more and more memory until I permanently terminate the svchost run slot, then it starts again. I went the service manual and it always starts by itself.

    Hi CIVC.

I've seen other threads with this same type of problem that it was caused by a virus/malware.  I might suggest to run a full scan with your anti-virus/anti-malware software and see if you find something.  If necessary you can also use the Microsoft Safety Scanner:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    I hope this helps!
