Network blackBerry Smartphone connection curve 9220

I recently bought a blackberry curve 9220 and my suncellular plan was updated to take advantage of all the benefits of bbm, unlimited etc. of internet browsing. My problem started when I installed blackberry protection, updated when he asked to be updated, but unfortunately my service plan has been changed. Now I can use my bbm when there is wifi available, except that nothing. And the signal indicator says GSM, initially it was EDGE. Is it possible to cancel the service plan changed by the blackberry protection?

The BlackBerry Protect application does not and cannot change your service plan. You will need to contact your service provider to see what the problem with your data plan and wireless.

    Hello

Recently, my BB Curve 8520 got damaged by water & with immediate support from a local vendor, it got fixed.

Just after 2 days, it has some issues of appeal & off-grid chess. To validate the question with the handset, I checked the SIM card even with other mobile & it worked perfectly.

    Now,.

Should I go to an authorized service center to solve this problem?

(If Yes, then please suggest a BB in Vadodara official service center.)

    OR

Do we not have an easy solution?

    Hi shahi_kailash

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

Check here and locate the authorized Service Center near you, service centers for the BlackBerry Smartphones in India . But FYI as much as I know they will fix all the water damage to devices.

You can contact any local Mobile repair shop and see what they can offer. But more often in a water damage repair BlackBerry smartphone will cost a lot and you can't guarantee that it will work perfectly over a long period, you may experience the same problem right now or a new. So I think better to buy a new device or an opportunity instead of this unit damaged by the water.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones connected to internet but pages won't load! Help!

    Hey,.

First time using this forum so ill try my best to explain my situation.

I have a Blackbery curve 8520. Until recently he worked perfectly but it has since not load websites, even when connected to the internet. My BBM works perfectly however. I have saved, rebooted and ensured that data services are on. I contacted my network provider and they said it's a blackberry issue thean rathr a network one.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you will need to contact your mobile service provider for formal support... for the last time, again they you brushed OFF... even if the problem is on the EDGE (btw... BB is a device, RIM is the company that manufactures the BBs), your support channel always starts with your carrier... they have the power to escalate your case in RIM free of charge for the user end... There is no other way by which you can receive free formal support from the RIM... actually, these forums are not similarly supported RIM , but rather to the users.

    Good luck!

There is some restriction on the phone that keeps me change features, formats code or firewall. Hello and welcome to the community!

If there is a latent policy, there is only one way to remove it... and while I can't tell exactly what you hear of "hard reboot", this probably isn't the appropriate method. To check, however, see this:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

And, even if it seems to result in a negative, there is perhaps a COMPUTER policy on board... 'stealth' rare, but they exist. To clean, you must do:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Of course, remember to take a backup before and after restore... but do not make big. One of the saved databases contains policy COMPUTER and, if you restore that, you'll be right where you started. On the contrary, only backup/restore these specific databases that need you, specifically avoiding those that relate to politics. You can find a complete set of instructions in the thread linked to my auto-sig on this post.

I have not apploader on my PC if this is helpful to all.

If you have installed, your PC, the desktop software and/or a bundle of BONES for your BB, then you apploader. Reference:

But, to start your diagnostic efforts, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

If there is no Safe Mode, I suggest that you test to see if your battery is causal. Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must be directly connected to a charger checked (not PC USB, not a docking station):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. Carefully note please that 'new' and 'know' are not necessarily the same things. Although rare, a 'new' battery could certainly be defective. On the contrary, the easiest (and cheapest, btw) method to perform this test is to find someone with an identical BB which has no problem... trade in batteries and see what happens.

Otherwise, then you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Curve 8520 email settings out of box

    Configuration of e-mail.

I recently bought a blackberry Curve 8520 and am unlocked, I had problems with installation - in my email.

I should go to implement. Configuration wizard, click on send Setup.

And only makes its appearance in my device that says: I want to use a professional email with blackberry enterprise server account.

The e-mail settings: add more envelope account is missing!

I activated my 100% fine host routing table, but I can't set up a personal e-mail, a company one.

What and how do I do with it. I am brand new in BB.

    Any help much appreciated, thanks!

    Note:

Some wireless service providers and third-party equipment manufacturers have processes called master reset, factory resetor master clear, which erases all the data and parameters for devices user non-BlackBerry carriers, restoring their to a 'factory' or 'out of box' State. The clear Pocket command performs this function even on a BlackBerry smartphone:

Maybe I do it by mistake!

Do you have BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) active on your account rather than BES (Blackberry Enterprise Service) - BIS is the customer service that allows you to add up to 10 personal email accounts.

If in doubt call your carrier.

  • Director of office of blackBerry Smartphones and Curve 8330

I just installed Desktop Manager 5.0 for my curve. The installation went well, and after it backs up, the curve works correctly. I wonder, however, if the Desktop Manager saved e-mails, MMS and SMS messages in a file on my desktop that could be retrieved and read later if necessary. I heard this answered both ways so far: Yes it did, and no, it's not. No one knows what is the real answer?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Well, two answers could be correct according to what you were doing. If you performed the backup, and then he did. If you have not run the backup, then it does not. If you performed the backup, then a file with an extension of the RPI could be saved to your PC - search your entire hard drive for *.ipd and see what you find. • Unable to connect to the gsm network blackBerry smartphones

I've got bb 8320I think it's the phone from t-mobile usa, but I'm not sure. I would use this phone with the local water supplier. But a mobile network does not come when I rolled local sim. Under 'mepd' I see that sim has been detected and all services (SIM, NETWORK...) are disabled. I tried mep2 but nothing came of it. MEP2 does not work. Can U give me an idea?

    (1) is my phone locked or not? Why mep2 does not at all?

    (2) why mobile GSM network does not?

    It's a really stupid question.

    The answer is

    1. it is an unlocked phone. There's a reason why mep2 does not come and network under mepd is disabled

2 / manage mobile/network connections / changed on YOU. The phone works fine. I am able to make calls.

    Ouch!

You have turned on mobile network? What do you see in the top right of the home screen to the signal indicator?

Sometimes do a reboot on the BlackBerry simple thus reconnects to the network: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Curve 9300 - how to prioritize between the Wifi connection and the carrier?

Hi all, I have a question... How do we place on our BB unit to plug into a wireless network from first (if available) to browse and not them connected to the internet all the stuff instead of using our carrier, then at home or at work?

There are no parameters for this on most devices, the WiFi connection will ALWAYS be priority for communication of data via the connection to the mobile network.

Some rare machines with capacities AMU have an Option to set this priority. UMA is a service of only a few mobile providers like Tmobile.

  • About connection network blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello everyone!

At first, I must say that I am a newbie with the BlackBerry.

    I use T-Mobile as a career.

The maximum speed I get from the repartir0 of the career is 7.2/1,4 Mbps... However, my question is this:

If I am at home with my device BB and at home I have the WiFi router and my BB is connected, if I try to open certain pages or some do sort of request to the Internet, the BB will use the 3G connection or my WiFi?

I tried to check the system where I can order the connections (1. WiFi - or tier 2. 3 tc g.)

It is perhaps a silly question, but please help me!

    Best regards

    Dean

    Hiya!

    and the answer is...

If you connect wirelessly, your device will use it instead of your 3 G/EDGE current connection. When not in the scope of the WiFi, it will be automatically 3 G/EDGE.

  • Help with turning on Mobile network blackBerry Smartphones

My blackberry curve does not connect to a wireless network.  I tried to check the box Mobile network in respect of the management of connections and do not access.  I turned the phone off and then turned it back... nothing.  I have disabled all connections and then turn it back on and still nothing.  When I try to call from the phone, I enter the phone number, press the button send green and nothing happens.  I try to compose my contacts and nothing happens.  I tried calling my phone and it goes straight to voicemail.  I am home, which, for the last 6 months, the signal was strong.  I'm at my wits end.  Help!

I jumped the battery and put it again and everything was fine.  In the 6 months that I have owned a Blackberry, it's never got stuck like that.  I hope that it is an instance of time.
