  I have an interesting situation. I'm in a casino environment, and I got a task force made up of surveillance equipment which must have their time synchronized with the same source as our network.  The surveillance system has no access to the internet.  I have a computer that is running Windows XP that has two NIC cards, one for the field and one for the working group. VCRs are running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. How can I synchronize time on video recorders on the computer in the domain with 2 NIC cards?

  I tried a file of commands with the following commands, but still get an erro that either says "RPC server not found" or something on the parameters:

  w32tm/config/update
  net stop w32time
  net start w32time
  w32tm/resync

  I'd appreciate any help.

  The Adobe CC license is not specific to the user; It is specific to the Adobe Id, on which it was purchased.

  Adobe CC license can be activated on 2 machines using the same Adobe ID, but can be used only 1 at a time.

• Network working group sharing

  I was charged with the task of improving the file sharing on my place of work. Currently, run us across the room flash drives. We are a small company with 4 identical dell desktop computers connected to the internet via a wireless router. Only 3 computers are used on a daily basis. All the computers are on the same network of working group, and I setup sharing on public folders, which works well for us, for now. Myself and others are concerned however that whenever we give visitors access to our wireless network, they will have access to our public folders and all our sensitive shared content. Is it possible that we can set up a location on the network that only certain users have access to read and write from?

  Since you use public folders within your office and seemed only concerned with guests on your wireless network and everyone in your office has equal access, wireless comments seems to be a very directly to the solution of point.

  That said, in a workgroup configuration, you can limit the access to shares by moving out of the Public folder, put them in a folder somewhere else (for example, a subfolder under Documents) and share it, turn on password protected sharing, and create accounts with usernames and passwords on workstations you want to access.

• A WIN7 in virtual XP mode can join a network working group?

  On a network of workstations XP working group and a Win 2000 Server, when I go into virtual XP on a new Win7 Professional workstation, I can not find the server on the network. In fact, I see no other workstations.

  The Win7 machine is on the network, just the virtual xp seems not to join. Any suggestions?

  Go to the settings for the XP mode and make sure it uses the real material network adapter and not the shared map.

• HP deskjet 5550 printer will print is no longer on the domestic network/work group

  I have a printer deskjet 5550 HP. It is attached through my XP operating system. My laptop is using Vista and has always been able to use this printer through the share system. However, all of a sudden the printer does not read the laptop print requests. I am able to access all other files on the main desktop. So I'm not sure what is happening. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. you remember changes to the computer before the show?

  You can remove the printer in Windows Vista and then try to uninstall all the drivers for the printers of programs and features.

  Method 1:

  a. open Printers by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, hardware and sound and then click Printers.

  b. right-click on the printer you want to remove, and then click on remove.

  If you can't delete the printer, right-click again, click Run as administrator, and then click on remove. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  Method 2:

  Uninstall the printer from programs and features (as applicable).

  a. click on start

  b. type appwiz.cpl in search, and then press ENTER.

  c. find the printer driver package, right click and uninstall the package.

  d. restart the computer and check.

• Shared network folder is not updated to display files, network working group on Windows 7

  We have a user of Windows 7 which is a shortcut to a shared folder is shared from another computer on Windows 7.  The record is "analyses" scalled and is distributed on several machines.

  When the customer scans a document with their network scanner, it writes in the form of pdf files in the folder of scans.  All users are able to access the files in this folder no problem except one analysis.  The user meeting the problem does not see the files, even after pressing F5 to refresh, but other users can see and open the files correctly.

  I don't know why on this laptop special that "scans" folder in network is not refreshing.

  When I want to connect to another computer with win Server 2003 computer that I invited with a confirmation of the administrator. the name of the Server 2003 computer is ofoghserver. When I enter username: ofoghserver\administrator and password this occure failuer Login error: a network unkwon or user password... but I can connect to the server with remote desktop and I can connect to another computer with windows 7. all computers in this good work, but this computer can not enter windows server.

  Did you create the corresponding user account and the password on the server? If this isn't the case, you should do this. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

• ASA5510 - good enough for small businesses?

  We currently intend to change our FW Point check to a Cisco ASA5510.

  We are about 100 employees, have 15 counterparts IPsec VPN and 50 VPN clients. I see ASA5510 takes many different forms and licenses and I can't seem to find the right one for us.

  Has all the same material ASA5510? What is the difference between these models:

  (1) security more Firewall edition ASA5510

  (2) edition ASA5510 IPsec VPN

  (3) ASA5510 Antix Edition

  (4) ASA5510 Bundle of IPS Solution

  I'm going to need a FW that can handle 15-30 Ipsec VPN peers, up to 100 concurrent clients of VPN, and who has a good IPS/IDS solution. and also, it must support the AES 256 encryption algorithm and have the opportunity for SSL VPN peers.

  Which edition do you think will be much better suited for us? Any thoughts?
