HP deskjet 5550 printer will print is no longer on the domestic network/work group

I have a printer deskjet 5550 HP. It is attached through my XP operating system. My laptop is using Vista and has always been able to use this printer through the share system. However, all of a sudden the printer does not read the laptop print requests. I am able to access all other files on the main desktop. So I'm not sure what is happening. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi sweetmyranda,

1. you remember changes to the computer before the show?

You can remove the printer in Windows Vista and then try to uninstall all the drivers for the printers of programs and features.

Method 1:

a. open Printers by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, hardware and sound and then click Printers.

b. right-click on the printer you want to remove, and then click on remove.

If you can't delete the printer, right-click again, click Run as administrator, and then click on remove. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Method 2:

Uninstall the printer from programs and features (as applicable).

a. click on start

b. type appwiz.cpl in search, and then press ENTER.

c. find the printer driver package, right click and uninstall the package.

d. restart the computer and check.

  • "Windows failed to start the service on Local computer print spooler. Error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. »

I fiddle with my startup programs and now I have this error message: "Windows could not start service on Local computer print spooler.  Error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. "There is no printer listed everywhere and nothing works.

    Hi Jkoryzna,

Thank you for choosing the Microsoft Answers forum.

To solve the problem, fix the dependency for the spooler service information.

Click Start, run and type the following text:

CMD /K SC CONFIG SPOOLER DEPEND = RPCSS

Alternatively, to achieve this by using the Registry Editor:

Click Start, run and type Regedit.exe

    Navigate to the following branch

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SYSTEM-CurrentControlSet-Services-spooler

In the right pane, double-click the DependOnService value

Delete existing data and then type RPCSS

    Close Regedit.exe.

  • HP Deskjet 5550 printer that Jam

    Hello

I'm new to this forum, please bear with me if I'm posting in the right place.

I have a printer HP Deskjet 5550 (Yes, quite old, but very reliable), and he has developed a printer jam that I can't solve.  I tried to delete the document, canceling, the printer power off, practically everything to get rid of printing, but it seems to be stuck on 'delete '.  I now can't print anything else as all other jobs piling up just behind the print job blocked / deleted.  Can anyone suggest how to totally eliminate this jam?

    Thanks a lot for reading.

    Hi Mannyroad,

Have you tried to restart the print spooler in services?

What is the operating system on your computer?

    Restart the print spooler:

    1. type services.msc in run or search programs and files

    2. scroll the right-hand side of the screen until you locate the print spooler service.

Note: Services are in alphabetical order

    3. highlight Print Spooler and then click on stop the service in the upper left corner of this window

    4. close the Services window, and then restart your computer

Once the computer is restarted, let me know if you are able to print successfully?

  • DeskJet D2360: Deskjet 2360 - prints wrong colors, even if the test page seems well

In 10 (64-bit) Windows, Deskjet D2360 prints the well test page, but the colors aren't any application (documents, photos...). Cyan looks like dark blue. Green also appears dark blue. I just updated the drivers from the HP website, but the behavior remains the same.

The problem appeared after Windows 10 updates (January 2016 and later versions).

Print and Scan Doctor couldn't fix it. Help!

(Suggestion: If your printer prints the test page, why not propose an image file with what the test is supposed to look like.) This is useful especially to confirm colors. If I have a print test and see a few squares of color, how could I know if they are the correct colors?)

After a long period of frustration, I found the non-professional magic solution:

  • Help! HP Deskjet 6980 print is no longer in duplex

I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows Vista and reinstalled the software / drivers for my Deskjet 6980.  Everything went well spent - it is printing without wire - but for some reason the automatic duplex printing function no longer works.  Even when I select the automatic duplex printing option in the printer preferences, it does not print duplex.  Is there a way to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

Vista can default the duplexer "not installed".  Go to the Printers folder, right-click on the Deskjet 6980, run as administrator, properties, parameters of the device and the unit installed duplex and duplex manual to disabled, apply, OK.

    Kind regards

  • E709a printer is no longer on the network

Have had my printer/fax E709a installed with computers able to use from the network.  It is plugged into a wired router / wireless with Verizon FIOS.  Operating system on the computer connected to ethernet Wired is Windows 7 (64-bit) and Ubuntu Linux (via VMWare).  Other Windows XP computers and, for awhile, I had a very old Dell Ubuntu use via wired ethernet.

Recently, however, we had a power outage extended (about 40 hours) and it seems that, since I can't find the printer on the network.  I was able to run via the USB port on the bridge, but it would be nice if we can get it on the network again.

So far, I have tried... (with McAfee firewall off)

    Network HP 64 bit patch

    The diagnosis of HP's utility

Remove and reinstall the printer drivers

Print a "Configuration Page of HP network" and tying to access the IP address via my web browser (expires)

Open a command prompt window and trying to ping IP address of the printer (not responding)

Restart the printer by turning off and turn back while now #6

I'm out of ideas and I was wondering if maybe the power failure did something?

The power failure (or reboot to be able to introduce a voltage surge) may have blown the power supply.  Let's reset - unplug it from the wall and from the printer for 5 minutes and then try again.

  • A Web site that I use States: this agency will support is no longer using the Protocol of internet security TLS 1.0 or 1.1 - how to change this with Firefox?

I use a site that now has the following statement:

Safety notice: as part of our ongoing efforts to improve security, this agency will be no longer support the use of the internet security TLS 1.0 protocol effective August 1. In addition, we will also stop the support for the Security Protocol Internet TLS 1.1 on 1 September. This means you must update your browser to use this site. For any questions about the update, please consult your browser provider.

    How do I change this?

Unless your Firefox settings have been changed, Firefox is ready for sites that use TLS 1.2, the latest version of the SSL protocol.

For example, if you click on the Green padlock on this site, so more information, the bottom of the Panel security in the Page Info dialog box should show that the page was encrypted using TLS 1.2. I have attached a screenshot showing where to find this information.

  • My BDDVDRW drive will recognize is no longer read the audio CD, but both DVD and BD

I have a HP pavilion dv6 under Windows Home Premium with a HP BDDVDRW CT40N. I have never had any problems with the optical drive. About 2 weeks ago, I started ripping of audio CD on my hard drive using Windows Media Player. I pulled about 15 CD over the 2 weeks. Then all of a sudden the drive read audio CD - I put a CD in and nothing, even after hours. If I click on the player it ejects and answers please drive inset.

So I thought it was the CD and inserted other CD, even the ones I had just ripped - nothing. But it reads the DVD fine; I just saved a DVD with it.

The machine is about 5 years old, but it works well, so I thought maybe it was the reader. I have another computer; It only a little more than a year, with a HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CT40N and running Windows 10. I started to rip from CD with this computer also with Windows Media Player. Guess what - same thing.  I was able to extract only 3 CD before he showed the same symptoms: can't see CD; no problem with DVD.

Finally, I went to my wife's computer, a different HP running Windows 7 with a DVD - RW disc. This time, think of some sort of virus or malware may be responsible, I made sure that there was no Internet (not ethernet WiFi or Bluetooth). I ripped a CD and then the same thing.

All three computers has failed using different CD - it wasn't the same CD that was torn apart last before failure.

I doubt very much that three different computers with different symptoms of operation and different readers might undergo the same material unusual problem in few days after execution of the software even on different CDs. There must be something about the use of this extraction software (Windows media player) or disk characteristics of driver that blocks the CD (apparently after extraction).

I'm only moderately tech savvy, but successfully, sometimes after a considerable effort, more than anything I tried. I have had no success with this (towards even a problems prior restore point) and am at a total loss.

    Help, please.

While they inspected, CD is not detected by the computer. You can do the following steps the solved the problem.

    4. you will now see this window. Follow the steps below for what you want to do.

    5. to only scan the disk for errors

Note: This will give you just a report if there are drive errors or not and will not attempt to correct.

    • Let off both boxes, and then click the Start button. (see screenshot below step 4)

    6. only scan and try bad sectors recovery

Note: this analysis tries to find and repair errors on the hard drive itself, physical and it may take much longer to complete.

    • Uncheck the automatically fix file system errors . (see screenshot below step 4)
    • Select the search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors .

    7. only scan and trying to automatically fix errors

Note: This will automatically attempt to repair problems with the files and folders that the scan detects.

    • Check the automatically fix file system errors . (see screenshot below step 4)
    • Uncheck the search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors .

    8. to analyze automatically try to fix the errors and bad sectors recovery

    • Check the automatically fix file system errors . (see screenshot below step 4)
    • Select the search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors .

    9. Click on the Start button and is not 10 or 11 below depending on the whether the drive is currently in use or not. (see screenshot below step 4)

10 if the selected hard drive is not in use, you will then see to check the startup disc check the disc now.

    • When the analysis is complete, you will then see

    results. Click close.
  • Click OK. (see screenshot below step 3)
  • Stop, you're done.
  • 11. If the selected hard drive is in use, then click on the schedule the disk check button. (see screenshot below)

Note: If the hard disk that you selected in step 2 is in use (for example, the C: drive or the partition that contains Windows 7), you will be prompted to reschedule the disk check for the next time you restart your computer.

    • Restart the computer.
    • At startup, you have only 10 seconds to press any key to cancel the check disk of measures 7 or 8. (see screenshot below)

    • Once the scan is complete you will see a report similar to this below briefly until the computer restarts automatically.

If the problem persists, you can run repair for Windows 7.

  • My Deskjet 3520 does not print envelopes. None of the proposed solutions work.

My DEskjet 3520 does not print envelopes.  I tried all the solutions, and none of them work.  My operating system is Windows XP Professional SP 3.  The computer is a Dell inspiron 530.   There is noe error messages.  When the envelope comes out of the printer, it is empty.  When an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper is in the printer, the address information prints on the right edge of the paper in landscape format.

My conclusion is that there is a serious error in the software.

If there is any workaround I would be grateful to receive them.

I simply "duped" the copier and formatted the envelope to print in the center of an 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper landscape page.  It took a few violins, but I've got envelopes printing.
