never entered a password

Trying to get into the bios and it asks for a password.

A password to the BIOS level (which has nothing to do with Windows) don't prepare you in itself. Ask anyone who has access to the computer to remove it. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

How do you change the delay time on screen password so that I don't have to enter my username and password when I don't use the computer for several minutes?

It is a part of the screen saver settings.

Right-click on an empty area of your desktop, then click on 'Properties'-> Screensaver (tab)
Then change the number in the 'Wait' box to set the idle time before the screen saver starts.

  • "Enter network password" popup will not stop appearing, how to stop this? Outlook 2007 audit has aol.

OK, I know that this question was asked before here and other places, but I tried a lot of things and still cannot get him to stop.

I use Outlook 2007 to access my aol e-mail account. Until recently it has been works well with none or very few problems. All of a sudden this week, the window 'Enter network password' guard chronically arise with all fields filled already, but you will need to click ok to remove. This happens once in a blue moon in the past, maybe once every 3 weeks to a month and then happen not for awhile. But from this week, it occurs once every 5 minutes about an hour every day. (Has happened twice since I started typing this so far.) This is incredibly annoying doesn't even begin to describe. For more far to annoy me, I have a rule to configure in Outlook where some emails get sent to my work address while I'm not home and when this box appears here at home while I'm at work, nothing doesn't get passed, nothing happens anywhere because I'm not here to click ok in the darn box!
OK, to cut to the Chase, I have Windows XP with Outlook 2007 here, and I checked my aol email. All parameters have been controlled and tested and is exactly the same as when it was working fine. Other things that can help to know, I have McAfee Antivirus on the computer and the router wireless Belkin F5D8235-4 low. I had McAfee antivirus for many years without any problems and I got the router hooked ever since November 2009 with no problems until now that is.
Here is what I tried so far, all have not helped at all: (I thought that I would tell you which has been tried and didn't work, so we don't waste time on them).
1 has created a new Outlook profile. Did not stop the pop ups.
2 Ran Outlook in safe mode for non-Microsoft services would not be executed. Did not stop the pop ups.
    3. saved registry and the information of the user account deleted from the options of password subkey, and then reinstated "Protected Storage System Provider. Did not stop the pop ups.
    4. disabled in McAfee messaging protection. Did not stop the pop ups. (Just got a new one! Ugh.)
5 Rebooted/Restarted router. Did not stop the pop ups.
I'm currently at the "I got Nothin'" point about what should be judged then.
Anyone has any idea what this might be outside what I already tried?
I am altogether strung here and it drives me crazy. Anyone have any ideas?
    Jim.

    Update for me.
Because I changed my e-mail verification of the intervals of 5-10 minutes, there was a considerable improvement in this issue. For a while it has virtually disappeared, it was like the good old days when it happened almost never.
A few week days last the problem returned with a vengeance, as bad as when it reached its maximum when I started this thread. But I went on google and found a lot of internet chatter, suggesting that it seems to be a question of aol - across the network to an end, given that many people in the country had the same problems. So, it looks that I have would have been doing the pop-ups regardless.
It seems that to subject the week last, aol themselves have had major problems to their e-mail systems based on internet comments there from other customers, so by doing this problem much more difficult to solve since now you know exactly what is the first cause pop-ups until aol gets their end of it solved. I can certainly tell you that raise the time intervals to send/receive 5 to 10 minutes doesn't seem to go very far to solve problems with pop-ups. Even though I'm still trying, here and there, I think that those that I received lately have been due to problems at AOL more so than mine, based on reviews other aol users. I hope that I may be at the end of the tunnel on this subject but thanks to what is happening to their end (aol), I can't say for sure yet. I'll keep you posted.

  • A window opens all the minutes titled 'Enter Network Password',

    Original title: help please!

I am running Windows XP.  My problem is the following:-a window opens all few minutes entitled "Enter network password", it may be either of my current ISP or the previous one which I did not have long.  In this case no matter what I do on the computer.  Can someone help me get rid of this?

If you no longer use a modem, you can safely remove all access to remote connections. Proceed as before you make the Connections tab and remove all connections by modem listed. I hope your problem will disappear. I can't explain why with "never dial" selected, you still get those dialups. Maybe you have some malicious software trying to get an internet connection in this way?

Do a full with your normal AV and then scan also with scanners to demand free MBAM and SAS. You can always delete them after scanning if you wish.

  • Windows do not allow me to enter my password. specifically will not work some of the keys on the keyboard for the password.

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

As a wild guess, maybe you have a laptop and have helped with your NumLocks?  This would cause the j, k, l, u, i, o and p keys do not act normally.  If this is the case, try to hit the 'num lock' key once to disable it and see if you can now enter your password.

  • BlackBerry Z10 having to re-enter my password of the device whenever I stop using my camera

Not sure if anyone can help here. All of a sudden my bbz10 makes me enter my device password after I stop using it for about 30 minutes. I believe that a new alarm calendar event can trigger this. It started happening when I reccently downloaded the latest version on my phone

    Hey:

You can change the amount of time, or even the option to disable the need to connect your password.

Go to Settings---> Security and privacy---> device password

You can option turn off the device password (I did it so I never use my password). Or you can change it to 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour.

It's a preference if you want to completely disable the password. I have no information to work on my phone, but I also installed BlackBerry protect, so if my phone will miss, I can wipe the data on my phone remotely.

    Hope this helps,

    Paul

  • Enter the password to get user profile cannot be loaded whats goin?

Enter the password is user cannot load profile

Your account profile is probably corrupted. Create a new account/username and copy your files from the old database to the new account by following the instructions below.

Restart in Mode safe mode with command prompt:
During the initial start-up (once you turn on the computer first) press the F8 key several times (after the logo of startup and before Windows 7 starts loading).

If you see 2 user accounts listed on the Safe Mode screen, one will be the account name that you created more a second user account named 'Administrator', which is by default/built-in Administrator account, log in using the account "administrator."

See if your account listed, then proceed as follows:

Starting from the command prompt, type: net user administrator / Active: Yes

Close the commands and press prompt window: Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose "change user" to choose the account "administrator."

You should now see 2 user accounts listed on the Safe Mode screen, one will be the name of account thus created a second user account named 'Administrator', which is the administrator account by default/built-in.

Normally the 'Administrator' account has no password (empty). Try to log on by using the construction in the "Administrator" account

Now click on ' Start/Control Panel/user accounts' and create a new account and password.
Finally, restart and log in using your new account name and copy your data from the old to the new files.

10 iOS iphone SMS open without entering a password!  You can respond to text messages without entering a password!  How to fix my TEXT with my access code?

    Hi, jandianajones!

Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. From your post, I see that you want to stop your Messages to be accessible on the lock screen. I completely understand wanting to keep your conversations private and to prevent their access without your access code. I'd be happy to help you to know what options you have!

For added convenience, app Notifications have a setting that allows them to be seen and interacted with on your lock screen. It is a setting entirely optional and can be disabled for individual applications under settings > Notifications. Tap the application that you want to adjust (in your case, Messages) and toggle the "Show on lock screen" switch in the off position. You can still receive alert sounds when a message arrives through to be notified, you have received one, but it will not appear on your lock screen. To view, unlock your iPhone and go directly to the Messages app.

More information on Notifications, including how they work and what options you have with them, can be found here: Use of Notifications on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

  • My new iPhone is nagging me to enter my password for an Apple ID, I have not used for years

I have been using my current Apple ID for about 5 years with no problems until now.

Having lost my old iPhone and bought a new 6s, I launched a de-iCloud-backup restore on, this new phone is tenacious in all sorts of random times on my previous Apple ID.

He cites this ID and asks me to enter the password for it.

I don't remember what it was. I just don't want to be asked. I couldn't care less about this former Apple ID, or any apps that I may have bought with it.

Apple tried to help, but were of no help at all. They made me tell them a number credit card used the old Apple ID. That was years ago! I don't know what it was.

Please, can someone tell me how to kill these requests for password and kill this old Apple ID?

    Settings-> iTunes & app stores

    &

    Settings-> iCloud

Make sure that the former appleID is not set

and any application downloaded with the former appleID should be deleted and redownloaded
