New admin user forgot password

I have a Vista program on my laptop. I changed the admin password, but I forgot the password. Under password reset system requires a restore disc. Where can I get such a disk or how to enter the system to change the password. There is only 1 administrator who is me, I do not remember the new password. My antivirus is now expired and what do you suggest, I have unprotected. I tried to restore the system, but there is that no food not available files. Vista was already on the computer when I bought it 3 years ago.  What I can or can a Microsoft rep enter the system so that I can set up a new account admin

  • How can I create a new admin user and transfer my old files?

    Hello

I want to create a new account administrator user on my imac and transfer all my old files.

Why? I have problems with adobe lightroom. I can't move the files from one folder to another; After a chat session of three hours with support from adobe, they discovered is not the lightroom catalog that causes the problem, the preferences file, nor permissions user/disc; so it's probably a problem with the user account is corrupted. They tried with a new test account and everything worked fine. So they suggested, I create a new user account and transfer my files.

I read on this forum that move all the files from one user account to another, means you also move the files at the root of the problem. So before you do anything: what are the thoughts of the community here on the suggestion of the adobe support the people, and if this is the right way to go, how should I go about this?

    System: imac 2.7 Ghz intel Core i5, 16 Gb 1600 Mhz DDR3, Mavericks 10.9.5, Lightroom 6.4

Open the preferences users and groups. Click on the padlock icon in the lower left corner. Enter your administrator password when prompted. Click on the [+] add at the bottom of the list of current users to create a new account. You can set the account to an admin account by selecting the new account administrator: drop-down menu. Set up as a result. However, you can't use the same user name, in order to transfer your data presents a problem with permissions. See the following article: transfer of files from one user to another account. Once you get set up in the new account, you can delete the old.

You shouldn't have a problem to transfer files of key records in your file. Just do not transfer anything from the folder/Home/Library/because that's probably where the shoe pinches.

  • Connection impossible XPM user forgot password

I forgot the xpmuser password, I can't log in mode xpmuser now

How can I have restored the old password or how do I reset the password.

What happens if the reset password still unable to connect xpmuser breaks down?

Please suggest something needs to be done.

    Hi Ansari,

Thank you for the question to Microsoft Community. I'll give my best to help you.

From your problem description, I understand that you forgot the password for the XP MODE and you are unable to connect.

You can perform the methods suggested below and check if they will help you solve the problem.

Method 1: Disable the integration features and check if it helps.

    Here's how:

    a. you can click Démarrer\Tous Programmes\Windows PC\Windows virtual Virtual PC.

    b. right-click Windows XP Mode and select the settings to verify the settings.

    c. can use username XPMUser without a password and logs that you.

I would also suggest that temporarily disable you the integration features to check if the Windows XP Mode can be started normally.

Method 2: Try to leave the section blank password and see if the XPMUSER can be accessed.

If the problem persists, you can try to access Windows XP Mode with the default account named "Administrator". This account appears when we get into Safe Mode. By default, there is no password for this account, and the password is determined when you set up the Windows XP Mode. We can use this account to reset the password of the other accounts password.

To do this, follow the steps below:

    a. start by disabling the integration features.

    b. restart the Windows XP Mode. When the Boot Menu appears on startup, press F8. (Continue to press the F8 key until the Windows Startup menu is displayed.)

    (c) in the Options Menu Windows, advanced mode without failure and C:.

    d. Ouvrezunesession Windows by using the administrator account and the password.

NOTE: The password is empty by default unless you already set a password.

    e. after the connection mode safe, click 'Start', go to 'Run', type "nusrmgr.cpl" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.

    f. choose the user you want to change and click 'Reset password'. Set a new password.

    g. click "Advanced" tab, click on the button "Advanced".

    h. click "users". The choice of the user you want to edit in the right pane. It to the right and click on "Properties".

    i. check the box 'Password never expires'. Click on 'OK '.

    j. then, leave the settings and restart Windows XP Mode to normal mode.

  • My admin user account disappeared when I added a new user and now I don't know how to access or modify my user accounts.

I have three accounts of users set up and we had to be the administrator account, but it changed to a standard user account and now I'm sunk.  I had changed the original admin user account to a standard user account, and then made a new admin user account.  I did this so I could spy on girl teenager without his knowledge so that I can be sure it is safe online with parental controls.  I used the new admin user account to set up parental controls.  The next morning, when I saw the new user account, he had transformed into a standard account and now I have no admin user account.  A thing pops up to tell me to put a password for admin (have no idea what it is that I've made a new) but in any case there is no place you can type into it if I had to guess even.  Now, I totally don't know what made my daughter and can not change anything with parental control.

    Pleasssssse help!

    Hello

  • A technician had me create a new admin account now my original CD is missing, I need help

A technician of a software company had me create a new admin user account to install a pesky software package. Now I can't see my original admin account. I need this back, I really don't want to have to put everything in place from scratch. Help please.

You were probably using the built-in account named "Administrator".  This account is not intended for use on a daily basis, but as an emergency backup.  If you use it every day, you run the risk of corruption - and might be stuck without a viable account with administrator rights.  For this reason, Windows XP automatically removes 'Administrator' from the home screen as soon as another account was created.

You can always get the account administrator as follows:

If you have XP Home, restart the computer Safe Mode by pressing the F8 key immediately after powering the completion test.  If you see the Windows logo, you waited for a long time to start tapping and you have to start over.  Once Windows starts in Mode safe, you will see the administrator account on the Welcome screen.

If you have XP Pro, you can use Mode safe mode as above or, with no other connected user welcome screen, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE.  The 'classic' logon screen appears.  Type administrator as the user name and any password assigned you.  The default password is blank (no password).

However, I strongly suggest that you stop using the account "administrator."  You can copy the preferences, appearance and the documents of the original ' administrator' account to the new one that you have created (although you will need to temporarily create another account with "computer administrator" privileges to make the copy).  For instructions, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151 simply treat the administrator account of origin as "corrupt" account referenced in the article.

1st thing to try is the system in safe mode restore to before the problem

    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.

  • I forgot the password of the admin user for Windows 7

I changed my password a while but my children damaged my computer and so it's been a few months that I could use it so now I forgot it. I read that I have to use a Windows repair CD, but I have not one of these? My concern is that I have a lot of my sons first pictures and video of his birth on the profile of admin users. If I could get safely ones I have something else on the subject wouldn't like. So is it possible to get to this file before I try and restart/repair? Thanks for any help on this, I feel terrible that I can I have lost these files for everything because I don't remember a stupid password.

Remove the hard drive from the computer and then ask a member of the family of a friend if you can connect to their machine and copy the data from your drive for them or a flash drive.

Now, you'll be able to do everything which is necessary to get your computer going again without having to worry about the photos... :-)

When al is back as it should, you can consider using a backup disk...

Last year, I bought my laptop and I tried to create a second user account but I placed it somehow this account as the Admin user. I don't remember the password and my file vault is of course.

What password? You can change a password for the account, but if you do not know the FileVault password, you are in a bind. You need to call Apple directly if you their sent an emergency password when configuring the FV.

    For a user account:

    You forgot your password

    Lion or later version

Reset a password in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

    OS X Mavericks-solve password problems,.

OS X Lion-Apple ID can be used to reset your password for the user account.

  • WebLogic admin user password change without disrupting existing users

    Hi people,

As a business strategy, we need to change the password for the admin user in weblogic after a specific period of time.
Please let us now how can we who without losing other existing users in "My Kingdom."

I understand that we can use the weblogic.utils.security.AdminAcoount utility to give the new password, which will create a new file DefaultAuthenticatorInit.ldift in + < area-home > / security + record (according to Doc ID 1082299.1).
The password will change, but the users in "My Kingdom" will be lost. (there are a lot of users and it is an environment of production also hobbies out of question)

Is it possible that we can maintain users and still make the password change?

    See you soon,.
    Carole

Once you DefaultAuthenticatorInit.ldift create a new file, any existing information will be lost.

There is not another way, we can get the previous users.

If you have the previous ldap/data directory, then we can have a chance.

Otherwise, we don't have an option to recreate the user.

We have an option to import/export security relams users, but this is before recreating the DefaultAuthenticatorInit.ldift

    Hope that answers your question.

  • Router EA4500, name of user and password admin vs ssid/wpa

The web-settings EA4500 application requests a user name and password.  The user name is "admin" and the password is my long (60 characters) wpa key.  I can't see where I can change the password but it says that I will lose all wireless connections.  It's not logical for me.  I think the router administration user name and password are completely separate from the ssid and wpa key. This was the case with my previous LinkSys Router.

Am I missing something?  I would like a router administration user name to be something other than the generic "admin" and password that is easier than my wpa key long.  I want a key ssid and wpa separate (what I have currently).

Is this possible and how?  Thank you.

I don't know how the EA4500 works exactly, but you should be able to change the router password to access the web interface on the Administration page. Compare demo ui: http://ui.linksys.com/files/EA4500/2.0.36/Management.htm

I think that CiscoConnect sets it up to use the same router password and WPA password.

You can change the password only through the web interface, too.

But after changing only the admin password or the password, I think that you are not able to use CiscoConnect more, because it depends on the same.

You cannot change the user name and there is no purpose in doing this. They only check the password anyway...
