New Adobe Reader CD disable document cloud

Hello everyone,

The new Adobe Acrobat Reader software is out and I would like to know if there is a way I can disable the document cloud.

I want to warn users to upload documents to the cloud. Are there settings in the registry where I can disable this option with the strategy of group or something else?

Thank you very much for the help.

Yes, there is and it's documented in the ETK: integration Services

Se, Reader cannot do this. You can do it with a subscription to services pack pdf or the full version of Adobe Acrobat.

  • How can I disable document cloud

How can I disable the document so cloud in my recent list I see only local files

    Edit: this is acrobat DC

    Hey techs31800758,

Could you please let me know what version of the operating system you are working on.

The recent tab shows only the list of recently viewed files, is not the current storage destination.

If the documents are located on the disk local to your device (on the Local tab) or on the cloud of Document (under the Cloud of Document tab), then those who will be visible on the recent tab (if they have already been open before).

If you log out of your account Adobe Document Cloud, then you will no more able to access the files in MS and recent tab will display the list of local files stored on your device.

    Hope this information helps.

  • Adobe Reader DC disable the Safe_mode via GPO

Hello, I'm under Adobe Reader DC to a server terminal server and users need disabled protected mode. I can do individually by user but would much rather find a registry change and remove what via GPO.

I found tons of guides for this in Adobe X and XI that work, by adding the following registry entry...

    Key path: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\FeatureLockDown

    Value name: bProtectedMode

    Value type: REG_DWORD

    Value data: 0

but the same things do not seem to work for Adobe DC.

Someone had a bit of luck with this?

    Thank you!

    Ian

It worked for me with Adobe Reader DC just had to change the way slightly.

    Key path: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown

    Value name: bProtectedMode

    Value type: REG_DWORD

    Value data: 0

  • No Adobe Reader for Windows 10 cloud?

I want a cloud no version of Adobe Reader software that works with Windows 10.  Is there such a thing?

I am pleased that succeeded installing on Windows 10-, but I forgot to warn you that updates automatic you will improve reader DC! In Reader XI under Edit > preferences > Updater, you can select "do not download or install updates automatically" and apply future reader XI patches yourself (the next update will probably be within 2 months). It should also be possible to change the registry so that the automatic updates won't give you upgraded DC. I have not made myself, but are looking for iDisablePromptForUpgrade on this link: Windows updates.

  • The password can I protect Adobe Reader or any document?

I backed up to locate some files in Adobe Reader DC. Some files are personal and I would like to know if there is a way to password protect Adobe Reader DC or the documents themselves. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!!

    Hi Paulinfla,

Their is no option of password doesn't protect CD player, unless you use the third part of application Locker.

In addition, you cannot password protect a document using Adobe Reader, this feature is available in Adobe Acrobat format: https://acrobat.adobe.com/in/en/how-to/pdf-file-password-permissions.html

You can download a free 30 day trial of DC Acrobat using this link: PDF converter, edit PDFS, sign PDF anywhere | Adobe Acrobat DC

Please come back if you have any other questions.

  • By using the new adobe reader software.

    Hello

I downloaded your latest version of the free adobe reader today.

It works fine until I try to print my document... the button 'print' the context Editor is

hiding UNDER my bottom taskbar, which I can't move. The editor of pop-up windows cannot be moved above, either, nor can I decline

the size of the editor to join the print button.  So, how in the world can print my bank statements format Adobe? It's frustrating!

Please advise... I have taxes to work on and MUST have copies of my bank statements.

I'd appreciate more greatly help solve this problem.

    Hi Theresa,

The screen resolution supported from Acrobat/Reader 11.0 is 1024 x 768. However, we have provided a scroller on the right side of the dialog box so that you can access the OK button.

Incase, the scrollbar on the right side is not visible, you can simply use the "Enter" button to print your documents.

  • New Adobe Reader DC on iPad incompatible with ios7!

    Hi all

I work for a company and I have a project based on Adobe reader. Unfortunately, all iPads are ios7. And it's too complicated to install ios8 (due to compatibility between applications and ios).

So, what could do us? abandon the project and Adobe reader? Is there a way to turn around?

    Thank you

    David.

    Hi David,

When you try to install the latest version of Acrobat Reader on your iPad running iOS 7, Apple's App Store should automatically detect the version of iOS on your iPad and provide the latest compatible version of the player.

Did you see the dialog box with the download it button?

If so, please press the download button to install the previous version (article 11.6.4) of the player.

Please let us know if you don't see the download button in the dialog box.   This is the special case where you have never installed Acrobat/Reader using the same identifier Apple for the App Store.  We provide the following steps to solve the problem.

    Thank you.

  • Adobe Reader 8/new Adobe Reader version

I am running Adobe Reader 8.2.6 on a Windows XP SP3 laptop.  I have problems with pdf books purchased on my Sony eReader (it keeps freezing on the player) and I plan to try to update my Adobe Reader software at least a 9.x.  Read the current problems with version 10 of Adobe makes me not want to wait a bit.

My question: do I have to uninstall Adobe Reader 8 before installing version 9 or even 10 or do these versions remove older versions of Adobe Reader?

While I'm at it, I also have Adobe Reader 7.x on a Windows XP SP3 Media Center Edition desktop and I really should get a more recent version of the player there.  Must same question, Adobe Reader 7 be uninstalled first?

    Just a few observations:

For purchased eBooks that are "PDF"; in general, these have management of digital rights (DRM) applied and must be used in conjunction with Adobe Digital Editions rather than Adobe Reader.

A good practice to commit before installing a more recent Adobe Reader - uninstall the replaced version.

    Be well...

  • Unable to print PDFS downloaded with the new Adobe Reader DC

Using iMac OSX El Capitan and last DC drive Adobe's Acrobat.  I'm unable to print all PDF documents were downloaded from a bank.  Error message: "Unable to do print - no selected pages.  When I use the arrow keys to move between the pages in the PDF doc page numbers are "grayed out", both the selected page and the total number of pages.

If choose Edition > select all > print, I get the same error messages.  Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hi Tnmike,

Try the following: open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, go to preferences in Acrobat Reader DC

    • under Documents, change "Show the documents in PDF/A mode" Never
    • under the (enhanced) protection, clear protected at Startup Mode

    Now, try to print.

I would like to know if it works.

  • Commercial uses of Adobe Reader DC edition

    Dear Adobe / community.

I am the it Department in a company and we use the free version of Adobe Reader to read PDF documents and no more.

We have seen that there is a new Adobe Reader called "DC" which is available for download on the Adobe site instead of the "normal" versions

My question would be if this version still has the same license as the X version, so can we use Adobe Reader free DC in commercial environment for reading PDF documents?

Yes. Acrobat Reader DC is the new version after Adobe Reader XI.

  • Tab pages of Adobe Reader XI

We were upgraded to the new Adobe Reader XI.  In the previous version, we have managed to rotate, delete, extract, replace, crop, split, document, etc. from the tab Pages.  In this new version none of these options are in the tab Pages or anywhere else I can find.  Have they been deleted all together to the XI or just moved into another tab/location?  Please notify.  THX, Atwoods Adv. Looks like you used to use Adobe Acrobat Pro and now you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader can not do these things. I guess you still have Acrobat Pro on your machine? If so, launch Acrobat Pro and use the file > open to open the pdf file you want to edit.
