New BB10 - Android SDK for Eclipse 1.4 question

Someone else tried the last SDK again.

I see a period very long black screen before the application starts.

The delay is just executing initialization after a new load of software. This does not happen until an Android application is installed (either launch Eclipse or CMD). It's just for alpha dev devices. Do not do this with the Simulator or software version.

So please do not let affect your confidence, we strive to make glorious experience implementation

  • Compatibility: VIPerl 1.6 & vSphere SDK for Perl v4: traps/questions?

    Hello

Are there problems with ALWAYS using VIPerl v1.6 with ESX/ESXi v4?  So far, it seems that the API has not really changed, but I wanted to know if there were any issues/pitfalls with this approach.

Apart from the introduction of the 'store of credentials', it does not seem useful to upgrade to the new API, unless he had fixed important bug / issues resolved... After reviewing the Release Notes, I don't see really any noticeable change.

Finally, VMware has never encrypt the contents of the password in the "identification information store?  Which means that, when a perl script runs, the SDK prompts the user to "unlock" the store of credentials, which allows the script to login to the end of the script?  This is similar to how Apache2 access protected private keys associated with SSL certificates.

    Thank you

    -Darien

VIPT 1.6 is designed to be compatible with version 4.0 of the API. There may be problems due to changes with the API itself, but for the most part, just VIPT uses the API as it exists.

  • Know what Android SDK is used for compilation

Hi, I wonder if there is a link any documentation or something that we can easily see what Android SDK has been used in every AIR SDK to compile the .apk files? For the moment, I need to know what version of Android SDK has been used for AIR SDK V23?

    Hi Hadi,

Please go through the release notes below and refer to the upgrade of the Android SDK section:

    Flash Player Help. Release notes | Flash Player® AIR® 20 20

We always have the same version of Android SDK for AIRSDK 23.

  • SDK for Priv?

Are you there a sdk official out yet?

No, PRIVATE has no API specific BlackBerry, so no BlackBerry SDK is required.  Just use the Android SDK for Google 5.1.1.

We have published a PRIVATE skin for the Android emulator, which can be used to simulate the physical keyboard.

  • Help w / BB SDK installed plug-in for Eclipse

Forgive me if I am problem with everything I post here, I'm as inexperienced and little educated with Java and everything associated with it, hell, programming in general.  My knowledge begins and ends with the basic html coding.  But, I have a great idea (I think) for an application and do my best to learn Java on my own.  What I'm having a problem with is just install the Blackberry SDK and others for Eclipse.  Shortly after the installation starts, and it always gets stuck on the extraction of net.rim.ejde.componentpack5.0(substitute through different versions of OS here, 4.5, 5.0, 7.0) status text continues with ...nloads.blackberry.com/upr/developers/Win/

Now, I don't know if it of related or not, but when I did the initial download of Java (jdk1.7.0_06), a window pops up warning me that some banks were too long or something like that (even once, forgive me ~ _ ~).  I tried to put everything I downloaded in ProgramFiles (of course it comes to Windows I'm talking about).

Anyway, Ive tried to be helpful by giving everything I know I did, someone please help me, if I can't even the installation done, Lord help me when I'm in a coding application

Well, I am a java developer, but java BB is not the path to the future, as the new OS (BB10) will support is no longer, so the question is if you really want to go this way.

as a start page, I suggest using
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/
you get a good overview here.

about html5, there are many different points of view, and some say it's not feeling not native (sensitive) enough, while others think it is the best thing ever.
side pro, you can use html5 on Playbook and BB10 (as well as other platforms non - BB).

If you don't know not java the platform BB is bit harsh as a learning ground, and most of the tutorials assume a basic knowledge of java.

I suggest trying html5, you should find most of the things on the site link above, otherwise, there is also a forum where, someone more familiar with it can help you.

  • Dependency problem with the new Blackberry Plugin for Eclipse

I just encountered a problem with the new version of the JDE Eclipse Plugin. I set up my application project so that it uses two other projects such as libraries. Both of these projects are on the way to build Java in the settings of the application project, and the manufacturer Eclipse compiles without errors.

But when I try to run on the Simulator, the application loader throws an Exception stating that it could not find one of the classes listed in library projects. Since it is the importation of first class in the main class, I guess that it was unable to find the entire library.

I tried to have the application project to import the project two library, but nothing alx files has changed.

In the old version of the Plugin, there is a property of the project "Blackberry project dependencies" or something like that, which should be set for library and rapc.exe projects and the simulator would be their. That went away, and I was told during Devcon now suffice to add libraries to the classpath. Apparently, this is not so for me.

Can you give me an indication of what goes wrong?

The problem seems to be that I imported my projects since the previous version of Eclipse plug-ins, Blackberry. I have now created a new workspace and new projects, completely maintaining the source files, and it works.

  • PlayBook SDK plugin for Eclipse?

    Hi all

RIM have a playbook SDK plugin for Eclipse? Thank you!

Scheduled for a beta in late May and looks amazing with regard to the integration of devices options. Release of gold will be in the fall. Time to brush the cobwebs from my C++ skills.

The link provides details, and there was a recent webcast with details on capabilities.

  • Why the BB10 Webworks SDK requires java?

My resolution for the year 2012 is to NOT install the Java JRE on any computer. It is slow, he inflated, it is a security threat and it is owned by the worse Software House in the world.

OpenOffice (I can't stand the Oracle logo in the startup screen: for me it's dead) LibreOffice mind started because Java is missing? Easy, google docs!

    Eclipse? Notepad ++

Android SDK? He pit too, BB10 is coming!

But I remembered that bbwp was just a batch calling a jar, which is understandable, because in this way, it works on win/mac/linux without a lot of trouble

The BB10 SDK will not install if the JRE is not installed. I opened with 7zip and it looks like the only app that needs it, just install it, flexera installanywhere!

You did a great job in replacing java binaries by node.js, why not make the full spend and use a decent facility that does not need Java?

You don't need an installer at all, just unzip the folder and it's done!

2012 InstallAnywhere Enterprise Edition costs $4499, please do a favor to you and us to these savings and use any program installation.

It is really an installer for it, expecially if requires us to install a useless platform to automatically capture the virus during the navigation.

    Thank you.

I spent some time to investigate on and Java is required for bar packaging and signing

But I found a way to make it work without installing Java (under Windows):

    1. Extract the BB10 SDK with 7zip
    2. Extract the JAR the SDK with 7zip
    3. Merge the content found in the CONTAINER with the contents found outside the jar in a folder named BB10SDK (for example)
    4. Copy the java folder from another computer
    5. Copy it to X:BB10SDK\dependencies\tools (java \bin will merge with the bb10sdk \bin)
    6. Place X:\BB10\dependencies\tools\bin in the system path
    7. Try in cmd if java works
    8. Voila! You can package & sign the apps, with the benefits:
      1. jqs.exe and jusched.exe aren't constantly hogging the cycles cpu
      2. no internet = faster and safer browser plugin
      3. BlackBerry-deploy and other tools available from any where cmd (well, that it's easy)
  • How confirm BB10 Air SDK was installed in flash builder 4.6

I just downloaded and installed what I think is the BB10 'or' Air SDK from here

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/air/download/

When I create a new mobile project with flash builder 4.6, the default descriptor bar is the same as the playbook we.

for example, this commented out line:

I was wondering if I failed somewhere along the way and always use the Tablet SDK or if it looks just like that

    -edit-

also, I need new signature for BB10 keys or can I use everything that exists from a previous installation of the playbook.

Guess which has not been updated. New BB10 method is:

    Assets/Splash.jpg

Each image in the list is of a size to use for the device in landscape and portrait. It will automatically detect and use the correct start depending on the size of the device screen.

Same key signature as with the PlayBook.

  • Develop with Blackberry 4.2.1 SDK in Eclipse

    Hello

I need to develop an application for Blackberry Java SDK 4.2.1 and above.

I'm currently under Eclipse 3.5 classic, and I have installed the plugin BlackBerry Java for Eclipse v1.1, with all the Blackberry Java SDK available, version 4.5 to 5.0.

Unfortunately, it is not no matter what SDK available less than 4.5 in this plug-in.

Anyone know how I can develop for Blackberry Java SDK 4.2.1 in Eclipse 3.5?

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, there is no way to build an app for 4.2.1 in the latest version of Eclipse. I think I read somewhere on the forum where someone tried (and perhaps successful) in getting installed by using an older version of the component package.

Not sure how much it is important for you.

If all goes well, they will update it soon because she has been the application of many since new version of the plug-in.

    Hi, Mike.

11.5.1 installation fix the problem we had in may; However, it seems to be a new problem that causes the failure of Easy Install.

  • Flex2 SDK with Eclipse installation problem

    Hello

I have Eclipse 3.3.1 and I'm trying to install FLXB_2.0_Win_WWE.exe to run the Flex 2 SDK with Eclipse, when I'm "Eclipse folder choose Update" I get the same error - 'Eclipse 3.x' not found but I'm pointing to the right folder w / eclipse.exe and configuration file... I tried to move the files to a directory, but no luck...

Anyone have this problem? Any resolution?

    Thank you :-)

    Charles

The SDK is not a Setup program, it is just an issue. The SDK is provided for those people who do not want to use Flex Builder. You need to download the Flex Builder 3 installation program, and then once you have installed, create a new project and select the Flex 2 SDK on one of the panels of the new project wizard.

Fortunately more Android version avoids the bug of software, but there is a new raft of bugs that Android is vulnerable to the:

    http://www.eWEEK.com/security/OpenSSL-finds-and-fixes-7-new-security-flaws.html

Is there a plan to fix the latter with an update?
Of course, it would take some time, because I think that the latest version of Android 4.4.3 is still vulnerable.

Clearly Toshiba will know a lot more about details.

    > Is there any plan to fix the latter with an update?
Since this is a user to user community, I put t think someone will be able to provide more information on these updates or patches.

    > Of course it would take a long time, because I think that the latest version of Android 4.4.3 is still vulnerable.
From my point of view of a few such bugs should be fixed by google android developers...
Just Tablet manufacturers add some special software features and customize the Android system for hardware built into the smartphone and tablet devices.
