new blue ray to old 5.1 surround player

Hello! I have an old Sony STR-SE391 surround sound system. The time has come to replace the DVD drive. I want to replace it with a new Blue Ray Sony player. However, the entries of the surround receiver use 6 RCA cables. New players have of course plans for this. If there is some way I have hanging a new player until this old surround system? Thanks for any help!

Thank you for this comment. Unfortunately, we do not have an adapter to make this feature.

  • How to get the PE9 DVD to play on the new blue ray players?

I upgraded to PE9 because my PE2 dvd play on my new blue ray LG or Sony players.    Unfortunately, PE9 discs do not play or the other.   How to make the disks that are going to play?   It is a real disappointment, since my goal is to change the years of family videos and make a nice set of DVD pick up and watch it with the family.   I can't believe that people that I send to the family to go including our buy a DVD player (and some of them do not work either)...

Help?   He is not much of interest to one program editing if you cannot produce a final result for video display!

p.s. I'm happy to do all the work around that will work... burn a file on the disk and access through the data area of the BR player?    Use another program to take the exit PE9 conversion and make it playable on dvd s... anything that works is fair game.

    Thank you

    David,

DVDs created with pre will normally play on most players, if DVD or BD. However, no DVD, or BD player is certified to play ANY disc - DVD-video or BD. They are certified only to read discs replicated in trade. Some players are better at handling serious records, than others. This ARTICLE will give you more background and some suggestions to get the best possible disc.

In a Word, two major considerations are the brand of blank media. What brand do you use?

Then, and although it is less important than a few years ago, the media type may play a role. What type, - R, or + R, are you using?

Burning speed can contribute to the quality of combustion, but forwards, we limit ourselves here. Pre will be a speed of blank media, the speed factor of the burner, and then choose the highest speed. Normally, it will be OK, but when things do not work, I recommend a different workflow:

Burn the project to the file. This will create a VIDEO_TS folder, where you choose for the Destination, which will include the necessary IFO, BUP and VOB, files. At this point, I would like to use DVD software to test the game the VIDEO_TS folder. Then, we use a burning utility, as big, free ImgBurn to do the physical burn on the disc and choose the VIDEO_TS folder (with files). Here, you can adjust the burning speed. I recommend about 1/2 down the list of possible speeds. It takes more than a few minutes, but is often the secret to burning discs with high playability.

I'd also look on from the mfgr of the multi-lecteur. Web site and then download and install the latest firmware for this model drive.

Once finished, test the drive in the Multi-lecteur on the computer using the DVD playback software. If it works, then the disk is fine, but could not yet be seen by a set-top player, and this is where the first two steps we just get the best possible drive.

    Good luck

  • Software disc drive Blu - Ray doesn't play new Blu - Ray!

Rather disappointed with the Blu - Ray drive at this moment!

My machine is a Qosmio X 870, running under Windows 7 64-bit. It comes with the Blu - Ray disc player, which so far I've used with my previous purchase - the next Star Trek generation season 2, which presents - and continues--work very well.

However, the season 3 Blu-Rays that are just out, do any work! As far as I know, the discs are not defective - they are recognized, and the structure of the file is there. I tried multiple disks, but all simply freeze them the player when he tries to load them. The screen is black (flickers sometimes) and unresponsive. There is no error message. As far as I know, this isn't a hardware problem - disks are fine and the laptop drive can play the old blu - ray without problem.

    However, these news do nothing.

    * Solved * -after a lot of searching around, managed to find a software update for the player on the Australian Toshiba site (why doesn't the European site list the Bluray Player among the software updates?).

  • HP TouchSmart DVD plays not new Blu - Ray

    Computer: HP Pavilion e9250t

OS: Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I'm playing a Blu - ray (Dexter season 6) most recent title thanks to the program "HP TouchSmart DVD", and it does not work. He asks me if I want to check for an update of the software when I try to read the disc. In the past when this has happened, the update allowed me to read the disc, but I seem to already have the latest version of the software (4.1.5122). He can't find the updates, and I found no updates through manual searches on the internet.

I can still play other Blu - ray discs. Scott Pilgrim just jumped in, and it worked fine.

Y at - it a newer version of the software out there? Or do I have to wait longer for an update? I guess the other possibility is that the drive is faulty, but based on my story with this question, I would say that the obsolete software is a more likely cause.

Does anyone have information on this? Anyone with similar problems? Thank you.

  • New Blu - Ray HDMI sound problem

Whenever I play a most recent blu - ray with the Mediasmart DVD application disc, I get only sound through my speakers laptop even if my TV is plugged into the HDMI port and I can say that the port is the current output device into the cursor of the mouse on the sound icon on the taskbar.  I updated the driver program and its Mediasmart as much as I could.  If I play an old blu - ray or DVD, the sound comes out of the TV very well.  In addition, any other application that uses sound works fine too.

I tried the suggestion of HP in the FAQ where they tell me to put the "SPDIF (Digital out via HP docking station)' as the default in the sound control panel device.  But I don't get all the sounds for any application to do this.  I've noticed that the SPDIF device using IDT audio codec high definition, which is the only sound driver that I can update.  The NVIDIA HDMI output device which is under it in the control panel uses the NVIDIA High Definition audio instead, and I don't know how update if necessary.  Any suggestions?

BTW, I use a laptop HP HDX 16 with Vista Home premium 64-bit.

I had the same problem.  Here's what worked for me:

    Remove the drive blueray disc.

    Reboot the laptop.

Turn on the TV and select it's an HDMI input.

Connect the HDMI to the TV cable to the laptop.

The display shall transfer to the TV (laptop becomes black)

    Open the Mediasmart drive.

    Select DVD

    Open "Settings" (the gear symbol)

    Click the tab "Audio".

    Select "HDMI passthrough" and apply.

NOW, put the blueray disc in the drive.

Give it some time to start on its own.

(Note; If you try to adjust the "settings" with a disc in the drive, or without going through the HDMI cable connected, the "HDMI" passthrough not appear as an option.)

Now that I have followed this procedure, I got no additional problem. TV audio plays, not the laptop, and I can use my home theater sound system to take the "audio" television and he takes in my cable box (and increase the volume of the TV at the bottom).

I hope this helps. I was pulling on my hair until I discovered this. Let us know if it works for you.

  • Still is not complete the process of generation of new Blu - Ray

Hello, I'm having some trouble with still and hope someone can help out me. I built a menu for my Blu - Ray which is quite simple and I encounter is not complete the build process while trying to make a menu. I made sure to check for errors before you build a picture and he said there was not. I don't really know what else to say that everything else is pretty standard. I use a background of movement which is about 8 minutes long with a sound that is about 12 seconds of time for my menus. I don't know if audio will be repeat or just play once, but I hope for the former. If not, I'll have to go to audio, a bunch of time in SoundBooth in a loop then import who. Anyway, he shouldn't be doing the build does not work.

I tried to uninstall QuickTime, reboot my computer and build again (because I heard other codecs can cause conflicts with yet) who solve a mistake that was rising but the construction stops making a menu now. I use the CSI version if that matters. I'll try and reinstall again now but would like to another entrance in case it does not work. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

When a project has had many (which can still) be only 1 errors, simply make a change are not enough. To test possible specific questions, start a new project with a new name and use only what you need to test the issue. And in your case, if you have not already, I would start the project from scratch. You can import the psd menus.

Anyway, he shouldn't be doing the build does not work.

I guess he could do the build works do not, especially if the problem is the menu that you declared.

See for the duration of the menu and timing issues.

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/Encore/CS/using/WSF49EA5DB-3743-49C2-9831-F66328B192F8.html#ws AC740C6D-83DE-489e-8B15-5A816A3019C7

Audio short will play and stop. The video will probably set the duration of the menu.

the construction stops making a menu now.

What happens if you use the option "Make the motion Menu".

    Edit: File-> Render-> motion Menus.

  • Blu - Ray on my laptop Sony SVS1512DCXB player does not recognize Blu - Ray discs.

It reads DVD discs very well, but when I slide in a Blu - Ray disc, it says either there is no disk in the drive or it does nothing.

You need third-party application such as VLC Player or PowerDVD from Cyberlink

  • Disc Blu - ray plays with snowy at first photos

I need help for a new show with my burning (Win 7 Pro, CS5.0 of original installation discs from Adobe, LG BD-burner; different BD - R, BD - RE discs: Sony, Philips, Kodak).

While he played the breast still function "Preview From Here" shows no problems burning (either directly yet, or the file with ImgBurn) and plays for TV on Blu - ray (Panasonic DMP BDT330) Player, once from time to time, the beginning of elements menu plays Harfang noise intermittent with some black frames of anywhere between 3 to 6 seconds. Reading several times, this problem occurs at the beginning of the menu items different (and mainly during the playback of a playlist with the same elements).

Playing commercial Blu - ray discs or my old Blu - ray disks, there is nothing wrong with reading.

It seems to me that it is something that still or the LG OD made. Before you start to reinstall the suite CS5 (detached with first Revo), I'd be very happy any idea on the cause of this behavior.

Also, it would help to eliminate some of the possible culprits if I could read the Blu - ray disc directly from my BD player. I would appreciate any suggestion for a good and tested software (free or paid for) that would not interfere with Adobe (or mess up my 'Virgin' OS ).

    Thank you very much

    LACI.

P.S. My guess at this point is that the culprit is the BD burner. While DVD sales/BDs are "in a hurry", House burners use PCM (memory to change of phase - and also the memories of my years of Intel working on their reliability). If the laser in the burner gets more older/defective, then the merger / recrystallization of the PCM lmemory element could not be 'perfect', and when it is read, it sometimes gives the wrong answer (even with ECC, which I'm not sure that they employ in the DVD).

I'm still waiting and much, appreciate some advice before I rush to buy a new burner or reinstall all CS5.

    Thank you

    LACI.

P.P.S. sorry about all this information most of which is probably not relevant (especially the part of PCM memory ). I opened (should have done in the first place) the BD drive on my computer and checked the m2ts files in BDMV > STREAM > *. m2ts. They all (including animated menus) play perfectly on the computer with WMP. Thus, burning and playback of these files causes no problem. Most likely, the problem comes when still built the navigation. Since the menus animated on the disk also play without any hickups, I guess that's the recall itself that causes these problems. I'll reinstall CS5. (The question still open at this stage is, how it is possible that this snow a few seconds before some of these files m2ts doesn't always happen at the same file m2ts replaying the disc even comics on TV.)

I would still like comments from expert users.

BTW, is there any program out there whith what I could replace Adobe Encore? (It's the place only weakly in the range ).

    -Laci.

at the beginning of some elements of the menu plays a snowy intermittent noise with some black frames for anywhere between 3 to 6 seconds. Reading several times, this problem occurs at the beginning of the menu items different (and mainly during the playback of a playlist with the same elements).

What does the menu items? I guess that's the menus themselves, not chronology movies?

What might this would create this? I don't know, but suppose it's more likely from disc problems and others. And Yes, where things are put physically on the disk can be a problem. But likely Burns/drive problems.

Have you tried this on another drive?

  • Drive Blu Ray for HPE-140F

I am looking for help to find and install a blu ray (game or R/W) drive in my HPE-140f.  Before I crack the case that I was looking to find info on the type of connection of the current drive to use, prefer an internal vs external USB 2.  I did install component PC before, but was hopingto find some information on the addition of components of this machine and the type of the specific interface for Blu Ray player

    Hello

The procedure to replace an existing optical drive or add an additional can be found on the following link.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01882216

If you replace the existing drive, just use the same power and Sata connections for the new Blu ray player.

If you add the Blu ray drive as an additional device, look for a free power connector is close to the one connected to your existing drive.  You will need to buy an additional sata cable to connect the additional drive to the motherboard.

  • Update my DVD player for Blu Ray player which we'll work?

I have a new m7-j120dx HP comes with a DVD player.  I would like to replace it with a Blu ray read/write drive or a blu ray playback.  I understand that the part number is hp 720249-001 or 729728-001.  They are a bit expensive directly at HP.  On ebay there are a few units that would work (requiring only remove the front plate).  Can someone direct me to a list.   My device has a touchscreen.

    Thank you

    Manny

I had the unit today and was having a difficult time figuering how transfer from the front of my HP to the new Blu ray device.  Finally, after realizing that I couldn't remove and transfer the inards, I saw the little clip that contains the dashboard on.  Once I have communicated that the facia jumped easily.  I could transer and it worked perfectly.  So thank you for all your time and effort to help me.

  • cover of Blue ray player

My sister popped her blue ray disc coverage. Rather than buy a new blue ray player, is it possible to buy just the cover? I entered the number on the sticker inside the plate several times to various sites of HP parts, but nothing comes back. The number inside the Blue ray cover plate is 3KLX910.

The small plastic clip broke on one side, and it can not connect to the disk.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Roger

Do not hold account... After several attempts on the HP site parts, I just google the part number and I bought the front of WareSphere. They had the exact part and it's on its way. I guess a part like that is not expensive enough to warrant a place on the shelves at the warehouse of HP. Fortunately for after market.

    Hello
Welcome to the Forums of Discussion of the user.
H - DVD9 is not supported for your Blu - ray player

H - DVD9 or simply HDVD was a limited support of the product released in the year 2000. It is not a HD DVD just a format of high density to allow more information fit on a standard-definition DVD. This format is not supported by any player Sony Blu Ray 2010 or 2011, including the BDP-S380
