New device needs data PC transfer

XP on a current pc, already have Office softward 4.1.4 on it w / loads of contacts.  I need to transfer this data on a Tungsten E which given to me as a replacement for my E2 erupted.  How can I get the pc to "recognize" the new device without messing up the data on the desktop?

Problem solved.  For those interested, Palm Desktop, I hit Quick Install and he '' recognized '' the new device.  Then clicked on user existing in the popup window and he transferred the data from desktop to device on Hotsync.   Peace...

  • BlackBerry Q10 receiving new Q10 tomorrow. Need help to transfer data of Balckberry Desktop Software

Currently have a Curve 8530. Data are saved on laptop via Blackberry Desktop Software program. B what will be the best way to transfer the data? Thank you.

Thank you for your response. When I heard back for awhile, I called technical support Blackberry and the technician the Nice customer support sent me the following:

Below the instructions on how you can transfer data from the Curve 8530 to the new Q10 use BlackBerry link.

Note: This method requires a PC or a Mac with BlackBerry installed link.

    * BlackBerry link only supports the Tablet BlackBerry PlayBook and smartphones BlackBerry 10, with the exception of the migration of initial data of a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or BlackBerry 6 to 7.1 for the smartphone BlackBerry 10.
    * BlackBerry Link is available from www.blackberry.com/blackberrylink and is able to operate simultaneously with BlackBerry Desktop Software for easy migration to BlackBerry 10.
    * 10 blackBerry Smartphones will offer an option for auto-install of BlackBerry connection when it is connected to a computer (Mac and Windows)

Before using BlackBerry link for the migration, make sure that:

    * BlackBerry link is installed on the PC or Mac that will be used for migration.
    * The two BlackBerry smartphone models are detected and can connect to the BlackBerry on the PC or Mac link.

Follow the steps to transfer data using BlackBerry link below

    1. plug the BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or BlackBerry 6 to 7.1.
    2. Select the name of the previous BlackBerry smartphone the BlackBerry link screen downstairs
    3. a page will appear with a message that the device is not supported by BlackBerry binding, on the same page, select data transfer.
    4. on the next page, click Next, this BlackBerry smartphone data will then begin to back up.
    5. once the backup is complete, BlackBerry link invites you to the new device to be plugged. Unplug the old BlackBerry smartphone and place it in the smartphone BlackBerry 10.
    6. the screen will display indicating that the data be sent.
    7. When finished, unplug the smartphone BlackBerry 10 as it is ready for use.

If the previous smartphone is not a backup file can be used

    1. connect the 10 BlackBerry smartphone to the computer via the USB cable.
    2. at the bottom of the screen BlackBerry link, press the arrow towards the top right of the name of the new BlackBerry smartphone.
    3. Select Restore > restore from backup > Legacy device backup files.
    4. Select the desired backup file.
    5. place a tick next to the data to be restored in the smartphone BlackBerry 10. To restore the data all supported, place a check next to restore all data.
    6. tap on restore.

Hope this can be useful to you or other new users Q or Z10.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, that I need help to transfer data from a 9870 "BOLD" for a Blackberry Curve 9300 Blackberry

Hi, I have used a Bold 9870 for a few months now. I've been saving my camera on my computer periodically. Unfortunately, it has been exposed to water the weekend and unresponsive. I transferred my acct (by Sasktel) to the Blackberry curve of my son he no longer uses. (I'm drying my "BOLD" in a bag of rice and I hope that it will work again in the coming days?!).

My question is did anyone know how I can get all my information backups "BOLD" (contacts, emails, texts, bbm surveys) and get only their transferred on the curve that I currently use. I feel completely lost without it!

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi shelran,

Welcome to the BlackBerry support community forums.

It's very sad to hear of your soaked BB device. I hope it still works!

Is it possible to use your mobile phone to add another device? The device seems to be an obvious tool to be able to add another computer - travel in particular. His absence here is problematic for many reasons.

    If I understand you correctly...

You must have access to the 'new device' in order to add this device.

For example, you cannot add your desktop PC to your portable device Sync when you're on vacation. You need Setup Sync on the desk before you left on vacation.

If so, I suggest you install BlackBerry Protect on the old device, backup on WiFi.

  • BlackBerry BlackBerry classic classic has not survived a plunge, how to put the backup on a new device.

Like I said in the title of the topic, my classic BlackBerry did not survive a swim in the toilet. I did all the stuff found on the internet such as put in a sealed air box full of rice for 48 hours, but he simply no longer lights.

So fortunately I seem to have a backup file .bbb on my desktop since 12/18/2015.

    1. is there a way to restore the data in a usable format (just the file .png etc)?

    2. is there a way to restore the data on a new classic of BlackBerry? I guess I can do that by choosing switching in BlackBerry link devices, connect the device again and put the old backup on that? I probably should update the new device to the latest version of BB10 before you transfer.

In native mode. Design of the BBB file intent should be used as source for restore to another device of BB. No other function is natively. But there are several 3rd party PC utilities that can extract the data and make it into a format usable otherwise. Never need such a utility, I have no recommendation... but a few seconds on your favorite Internet search engine should reveal many options from which you can choose (and many of them I believe are free).

This is the intention of the exact design of the BBB... file to use as the source for restore to another device of BB. Reference:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones, replacing it with a new device

My phone does not work very well, so my provider will trade it for me.  I need to save my info.  I downloaded the desktop software and my info/files downloaded, but it asked me to set the new device immediately to complete the data transfer.  I can't do that because they will be negotiated there in the store, so I never have two phones at the same time.

Is it possible to connect the new phone at a later time and get office to download the information on the device?

    Thank you.

  • I have a key to firefox sync. How can I synchronize a new device with it?

I want to synchronize a new device, but all I have is a sync key and I can't find anywhere to enter the key of the synchronization. How can I do this?

Firefox Sync (Aka recovery key) key has not been used since version Firefox 28. All you need is the email address used when you set up synchronization and the password for your account synchronization - assuming that you updated your account synchronization to a Firefox account after update beyond 28 of Firefox.

And the former function of 'twinning' has disappeared, too.

  • When you try to add a new device, on access to tools, Options, Sync tab, no manage an account or add a device link button. I can get codes displayed to appear on another device but cannot access a screen that I can enter the codes.

When you go to the tab sync, I see nothing like the picture in the help pages that show a button manage an account and Add link device. I think I need to access the device link add to reach a screen that I can enter codes to set up the easy way sync. I have already overcome the problem of connection and enter my key synchronization but it's more effort and it seems to me that adding new devices does not work as described. I'm on a Win7 PC and a laptop Windows XP using Firefox 5 and using Firefox Home on an iPod Touch. I have not found a way to get into the 3 codes of four characters shown on my Win7PC on one of the other devices.

    Hello!

If you have an account, but it seems that you are not logged in. Please, follow these steps:

-Go to your tab sync in the Options window.
    -Press «Set up Firefox Sync»
    -Press half 'connect' down.
-Select "I don't have the camera with me.
-Now enter your contact information, including your sync key. And you're ready to go.
-If you have lost your sync key, select the option below "I have lost my other device" and follow the instructions.

I hope that this information resolves your issue.

  • Qosmio F10: new battery needed

My name is Batool Mohdhir, I was wondering if you could help me with something, please. I have a toshiba Qosmio F10 and I need new batteries that my batteries are ruined for some reason any! the model # I found written on my battery Li-ion battery model is PA3285-2BRS. I found on several sites in the same farm, except that its 1BRS. I don't know what that means! It is suitable for my laptop or is it not? If not, where can I buy the model I need online? What websites is the best to buy online laptop parts? and also I need an adapter model PA-2521U-1ACA, but I could not find. What other adapters are suitable for the Qosmio F10? I'm looking forward to your hearing you soon.

    Hello

At a first of all welcome to the Toshiba Support forum. I hope that you will find here information quite useful.

Back to your question: I checked the Qosmio specification and there is that your device needs to follow the described parts:
    Power adapter - PA2521E-2ACA or PA2521U-2ACA (90W)
    Battery - PA3285U

I put t know in which country you live but if there is no Toshiba service partner you can order directly by them. Another way to check if you can find some offereor online in your country where you can order the parts you need. I'm sure you can find some not Toshiba universal AC adapt, but I prefer the use of original parts.

    Bye and good luck!
