Hi Charles,

To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.

1. how exactly the WIFI connection disconnects Internet connection on the laptop?

2. do you get an error message regarding the same? If Yes, what is the exact and complete error message?

3. what version of operating system do you use?

Method 1:

I suggest to run the troubleshooter and check if that helps.

    MICRO-WIFI INTERFERENCE

Please explain THAT HOW A MICROWAVE actually INTERFERES with the laptop WIFI signal...  How to turn off the oven microwave takes the PC adapter, for example?  When the microwave oven is off and don't use it, should also be disconnected? In the equipped cafes in WIFI, are microwave ovens, degrading the quality of the signal?

I thank very you much for your comments.
    Joe

This is caused by the fact that both microwave and most wifi routers operate at a frequency of 2.4 Ghz, there is a setting on some wifi routers that allow you to operate at 5 GHz, but this frequency moves not by walls well, insofar as they interfere, the microwave should not disseminate its frequency outside the oven microwave and most of the routers wifi broadcast in all the directions, radio waves can bounce off the walls and envelope the room and other areas as well, this isn't a line of site, so unless you have your computer very close to the microwave you should not receive any interference at all. or course, if you stick the router inside the microwave.

    Hope this helps,

    Hey Drewid56,

I'm sorry to hear that you run on this question with your WiFi. What is a consistent question? It happens without fail immediately whenever you plug the power cord?

I would first look at the advanced power options.

Start button > Type 'power' > click Power Options > settings click Change Plan the next selected > click on change advanced power settings > expand card wireless and power saving Mode settings.

Make sure that trendy: is maximum Performance. If changes have been made, click apply and then click OK. Test on battery and plugged in again. I would like to know what the results are.

  • Puzzles of Apple TV

Apple TV was in the living room suddenly stopped working; It can not connect to my WiFi. So I took the job Apple TV B of the room, put it in the living room so I could watch TV in the living room. It can not connect to my WiFi. Huh? I put Apple TV A in the room and he works there. Huh? I put Apple TV B back in the bedroom and it works again. Apple TV has both Apple TV B work in the bedroom. Neither one works in the living room. What?

Express airport, right next to the Apple TV in the living room stopped working also. My Airport base station antenna has suddenly become directional?

Looks like you got WiFi interference in the living room. You can use the Apple AirPort app on iOS, or Netgear analytical utility on android, to check the other strong signals nearby. Try to select a channel which is not used and change the configuration of your base station to use it.

  • Parameters of the Channel Express airport

    Hello

I use an Airport Express station and has some pretty gnarly wifi interference.

It is my second router, so am convinced that it is a problem of wifi interference. Our girls monitor is the culprit in our room, I think.

We now use an Airport Express station.

Should what channel settings I use, ideally, on a 1000 sq 2 floor townhouse to avoid interference?

We use iPhones, MacBooks, and an apple tv.

    Help!

From the airport, default base stations, use an "auto" for the Wi - Fi radio channels setting. This means that he tries to find the 'best' channel to use when there is Wi-Fi interference present. However, as you may have lived, this doesn't always happen.

Most likely, the interference is on the 2.4 GHz band. If you have a newer 802.11n AirPort Express, it can run on this fact and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. In the United States, the 2.4 GHz band has 1-11 available channels to use; However, the only ones that do not overlap are 1, 6, & 11.

To determine what would be the best channel, you will need to know which channel or channels is causing interference. To do this, there are a number of applications that you can use on your MacBook Pro to discover.

    Here are some examples:

Whether you use, you want to search for are other Wi - Fi networks in the region that have the strongest signal level and what channel they operate in. Then, you want to change the one you use at least 3 channels away. For example, if the culprit is operated on Channel 6, use channel 1 or 11.

  • crackling in the sound

After switching from vista to win7, I get a crackling in the sound

No, these are all problems of driver or maybe hardware problems.

ODJOL: If you have upgraded from Vista (or freshly installed from XP), then you need to install the audio drivers W7 specific relevant for your device. Go to either your computer manufacturer's Web site to find specific drivers for W7. If they do not support W7 to your particulat unit, one way to "solve" this problem is trying to install the Vista drivers in compatibility mode. However, be advised, this is not systematically working on each machine. Otherwise, try the manufacturer of the chipset (Realtek, VIA etc.)

Sirboxalot: W7 wasn't out in 2008, therefore no interest to try these drivers. Is the same however, search for the site of Asus drivers W7. If not, try Visat, as shown above.

Crackle can also be caused by faulty connections, wireless connection/WiFi interference, interference of a HD, if a sound card, then it is perhaps too close to the video card (in the case of a PC) and many other reasons.

Latency spikes can be identified using DPC, and most are due to the cutting of material in and out, the more frequent Services being wireless or WiFi connections.  Just stop these services for your hardware one by one until the spikes go away, then you have found your culprit. Be careful when you do well!

If your audio device's IRQ sharing, and if you have a PC, reconnect the device in another PCI socket

psikofunkster: portable PC/computer manufacturer is responsible for providing the correct audio drivers and if they decide to no longer support W7 for an individual of their products, then that is their fault, not Ms. W7 uses different types of drivers than XP or Vista.

Neurot5: no, the common denominater is normally upgrades without finding the audio drivers for W7.

    See you soon,.

  • Someone else has Apple Airplay jumping and drop outs when streaming music?  WiFi is not the problem, and there is nothing around the units of airtime to interference.  Impossible to listen to music.  Thanks for any advice.

I've recently updated several broadcasts in my house from V1 to V2 in the hope of resolving a constant jumping and abandonment problem I always had when playing music with Airplay.  I have a unit of airtime plugged directly on my stereo receiver that feeds music throughout my house.  My WiFi connection is not the problem and there is nothing to cause interference.  Airplay modules are not more than 15 feet distance modem or range Extenders.  Someone else has this problem and, hopefully, a solution?   I'm tired of doing factory reset all the time.  Many thanks for any advice.

I've recently updated several broadcasts in my house from V1 to V2 in the hope of resolving a constant jumping and abandonment problem I always had when playing music with Airplay.

By "Airplays" what are you actually refers to... Base station airPort Express, Apple TV, or something else?

... and "V1 to V2" do you mean you replaced a 1st generation 802.11n AirPort Express with a 2nd generation?

Airplay modules are not more than 15 feet distance modem or range Extenders.

When steaming audio with AirPlay, the flow goes first to the device host to iTunes to the router Wi - Fi, this unit is connected to. From there, he will travel to the AirPlay "speaker". A president could be an AirPort Express, Apple TV or an AirPlay device ready another manufacturer. If you use line extensions, the flow must go through those as well... so there is potential bottlenecks between the host and the speaker. One of these could be the cause of the issue you found.

  • Interference WiFi live-Roku?

In the process of upgrading and troubleshooting our network domestic wi - fi, I have stumbled on the interference of the signal direct-Roku a neighbor and am looking for suggestions on how to avoid new disturbances.

Our network (prompted and primary) is generated by a time Capsule (ac 802.11, 2.4 and 5 GHz) and extended by a 4th generation Time Capsule (802.11n, 2.4 and 5), but is in a fairly busy area (about 15-30 SSID is visible at any time) and drops or often slows.  Run the wireless diagnostics identifies a County Code error (and of course the channel congestion).  When I scan the visible SSID, one poster code from countries other than the United States.  This is the signal Direct-Roku (registered as the Q2 country code) and is strong enough.  Unlined home in aluminum foil, have no recourse?  I read about setting up a dummy network with an old router to avoid problems 802.11 d in crowded places.  This work with a wi - fi direct report?  Wouldn't it just cause the channel congestion more?

With that many neighbors Wi-Fis, it can be very difficult for access point wireless of any manufacturer, not just the base stations of the airport, to find a channel "clear" they would not interfere with. Generally, should use an all-wired, not something you were hoping.

... and country Q2 code would be New Zealand. Direct-Roku is a Wi-Fi-to-peer network that allows the Roku and its remote control communicate directly. It is based on a Wi - Fi Direct connection, which can operate on networks 802.11a/g/n... which means that both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Not 100% sure that the Roku devices operate on.

Unlined home in aluminum foil, have no recourse?

Unfortunately, not much. If you are familiar with your neighbors, you could try to raise the issue with them. However, even if they are willing to help, they, most likely, the same problems as you. Yet once, all wired connections will definitely solve this problem.

I read about setting up a dummy network with an old router to avoid problems 802.11 d in crowded places.  This work with a wi - fi direct report?  Wouldn't it just cause the channel congestion more?

... and more congestion is what will put in place and not a recommended solution.

  • WiFi, signal excellent, no interference but intermittently drops, needs to restart

I have two desktops running on my home wifi system, one is one HP, the other a Dell.

The HP is the closer to the top and has full signal strength bars, the Dell is rained off and half bars. I used the wifi inSSIDer monitoring program to check that I'm using a wifi channel that has all the other competing strong signals on it.  I changed wifi channels anyway to see if the problem changes and it does not work

The problem: from time to time, as often as once a day, the HP will lose wifi. If I wait a very long time (30 minutes or more), it will return itself. I normally reboot to get it back as soon as possible. It always returns with a restart, and once rebooted I'm good to go until the next day.

This loss of wifi only occurs on the HP, Dell has no difficulty on the network even if one gets a much weaker signal. At the same time, the ch has been the only WiFi (until I'm the Dell) and it had this problem all along.

Is there some setting wifi on the HP that could be causing this intermittancy? Is there some wifi setting that could find the signal immediately without having to reboot. Using "solve problems" (right click on the wifi icon) can not find the signal. Happens about once a day (not at a given time of the day) I saw with it, but it's annoying.

    Hello

You can buy a WIFI card for replacement on eBAY for less than $10.  Could you say something, about the performance and reliability of the card.

I suggest get back you to the original HP driver.  If this does not help the problem then replace the WIFI card.

The part number you posted of HP, HP p/n 638403-001, is for the 5390 RT and not a 6390.  You should correct your information to avoid confusion.

  • I have to use the Microsoft Broadband Networking Utility to connect via wifi to an access point?

We have a gateway 2wire residential and three computers using here XP or Win7, and I used to have a laptop Vista Home Premium as well.  All of these computers are connected to a shared internet connection using what, in my view, is called zero wireless.  You simply search for networks, enter the ssid, key and good to go.  Until today when I installed a wifi adapter for Dell desktop of my granddaughter has never given the above utility.  His house has a gateway 2wire residential even than mine.  Well, this utility kept popping up and telling me there is no connection and it drives me crazy, because there was a link.  What I have to do is click on START, click on connect to and I can see the front door, and it connects fine.  In fact, I set up my daughter portable Vista, as well as my own Dell laptop and my iPad, and none of them wanted that darn utility.  My granddaughter's computer was purchased in 2007 and was never updated.  Today, I downloaded the SP1 for Vista, but wonder what I have to uninstall this utility (if indeed it is well to do) before you install SP1 and then SP2 go?

I want to clarify that there is no sharing of files between two computers in this household. Granddaughter uses his for school work, projects etc and daughter uses his to work, takes with her to work.  For now, there is not even a printer and it not there to no interest in the media streaming, sharing etc..  Just the old e-mail, tasks of office etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.  My first time here, I usually am the person who gives the answers LOL but it's Vista, and you know how it is.

    Hello ccsgo,

You don't need extra software installed for your wireless connection to work.
If you are worried about it, you can clean boot of your computer to disable the software to start and then if everything still works, you can uninstall it:
