  I've seen other threads that talk about the AP Div of CC depricated. I understand that they may be the way to go forward, but I'm curious to know what technique replaces the ability to layer my DIV tags?

  I don't use AP Div to create my page layouts, but I use them to add items of small image as overlays. For example... On a page of results of product I can get a little 'new' or 'Feature' flag image that is superimposed on top of the image of the product. These are usually based on a PHP "If" statement

  So I have no problem to go forward with what is NEW... but I don't know if there is a solution to add PNG images or other content in layers on the elements existing whitin the design.

  Right.  Absolute positioning does not go far.  It is vital for special situations like modal windows, disjointed and drop-menus bearings.  However, the ease with which you can use APDivs in older versions of DW caused a lot of new designers to use for all the wrong reasons.  That's why they were withdrawn layout panels.

  I find the new takes much more time panal to use... ot requires more interaction of the mouse.

  Your views are shared by some & others really love the new designer panel. I think he should just get used to.  Personally, I never use the CSS panels.  I find that I work much faster in Code view with DW code hints.

• "Update of the Office of creative cloud" hung - now what that?

  Was invited this morning to day Creative Cloud desktop application (Windows 7). Agreed and waited, then, when you are prompted, allowed installation to run as administrator. The green progress bar has been cut to almost done for about 30 minutes. I tried to close all other running programs obvious without success. When I started the update, Google Chrome was opened as well as a few local applications.

  Can I safely kill the "Adobe Installer" program with the Windows Task Manager and then install the application for the new copy of the file CreativeCloudSup - Up.exe I downloaded this morning? I have to restart the computer before installation?

  No other Adobe applications (for example, PS, LR, Reader) were when I started the update.

  When I tried to kill the installed via the Windows Task Manager, I was told that the program was waiting for input from me, but there was no prompt so I killed the process without mercy. When I tried to uninstall the application, I was told that another copy of it was somewhere in memory. So I rebooted, uninstalled the app, installed again from files of "CreativeCloudSet_up.exe" this morning, connected to my Adobe account, and all seems well.

  No was not delighted by the experience but, Hey, it's working now.

• Upgrade Adobe Application Manager gives error A12E1 - now what that?

  I wanted just to install Flash. But first of all, Manager of Application needed upgrading and it stops on an error like "seems to be a problem with the installation (A12E1 error code). I really hope that there is another way to solve this.

  You can try to remove the battery.

  There is a risk to the interruption of the security wipe. I don't want to imply that nothing bad will happen. Seems the worst is happening is to have to reload the OS, but I don't know if this is really the worst thing that can happen or not.

  Both devices use new synchronization and more importantly on Firefox 30.

  If you you don't need the synchronization of the former, and even if you use the same address as used for synchronization of the old all should operate under the new synchronization.

  I think that the new synchronization drops devices that have not synchronized within the past 21 days.
