• AS3, filtering data on the client

  Play again with cartoons, I'm working on another way to view them. The app is here, http://www.timos.com/timos/GreenEarthEN/GreenEarthEN.html and View Source is enabled for the corresponding code.
  
  I want to be able to navigate the cartoons by category (the each topic) - it's the data grid column titled "key words". Some of the cartoons are more than one keyword, so the keywords, the fields are really LISTS. The combo box above the data grid view allows you to choose a keyword to fetch the relevant cartoons. Whenever you select a new keyword from the drop-down list, a call is made to the server for a new filtered list. These lists manipulation is very easy with ColdFusion or SQL.
  
  Given that the whole dataset CreationComplete lights in the app and is always available, it would be smarter to do all filtering on the client. I searched all the Adobe docs and google all I could think of, but found very little on the filtering of the data with ActionScript.
  
  Any ideas on how to proceed would be much appreciated. If you want to give a shot of this, keep in mind we are dealing with lists, not simple keywords.

  Using a filterFunction on your ArrayCollection collection function is probably the easiest way to go. I looked at only your code, but see if it works for you.

  The add-on FiltaQuilla offers regexes in the address fields and object. An other addon, Expression search / GmailUI adds regexes to the message body text. Note that this second addon is presented as a research tool, it provides also new filtering options.

• BT on the Satellite L855D / Win8 - best Solutions?

  On this AMD CPU - peripheral BT was not active and I couldn't find a way to start.

  Then I installed BT-stack for Windows-x 64 http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba, provided with new filters from the official Satellite page - support and now it works.
  Maybe Toshiba should improve preload them images...

• Problems with A660 - 18 wireless

  Hi can someone help. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone to sky (my ISP) last night that my internet is so slow. They went through everything (reset the router, move, new filters etc) telling me that I should have 2.5mbs (I know, it's slow, but it's heaven). I did some tests telling me it was between 0.17 mbs and 1.7mbs. More I thought last night over I thought it might be the laptop. A number of things that made me think of this were: -.
  (a) if I use the laptop on battery (not network) he gets 55% of battery I lose internet connection completely.
  (b) if I use the laptop on the floor in my house (the router being downstairs) I can't connect to the internet at all, even if I'm sitting at the laptop next to a pc that is connected to the same router and work very well.
  I'm not really good with computers so it could be something simple that I'm missing. Any help would be very useful, Chris

• Enter more logic plug-ins in FCPX?

  I'm starting to mix more with FCPX.  Instead of send to logic.  I wonder how I could add some more effects of the logic in FCPX?  For example: EVOC 20 Filterbank?

  Is there a protocol to track down and adding new filters of logic to the effects FCPX browser?

  I don't think it's possible (but don't take my Word as gospel.) Dig around the system, the only references to EVOC are in folders called 'Plugin settings' which, for me, means that the actual plugin is another software that is not exposed to the system as an AU (audio unit). I've been able to add AUs to FCPX.  When digging around logic, all interns 'plugins' are all "code segments' or what happens in the old days would be considered a"resource ". There is nothing separate to "lend" to (or install) FCPX.

  Do some research in the plugins like Native Instruments Absynth 5 for something that can be used in a similar way as EVOC 20. He has a huge "filter bank" (presets) for effects (Absynth 5 MFX is exposed to FCPX.) Guitar Rig 5 effects are really nice, except that I have a problem with FCPX stop unexpectedly from time to time, or to have a "Preset" don't "stick" when I close the window of the plugin (now found a patch that could solve this problem [updated - it's a little better - wouldn't call it fixed - but better - fcpx did not leave *].) Guitar Rig is designed to emulate all the "toys" available to guitarists in the real world (amperes [of each variety], Reverb, echo, distortion, etc etc etc any effect of grid, you can think of...) and is not necessarily just for guitar sounds - it can be used for singing. The difference in the user interface is Absynth is designed for electronic musicians who understand the fundamentals of the additive and audio signals (and FM) synthesis (if your going to go in the personalization of your sounds beyond the pre-defined parameters), and Guitar Rig is for those who like to play with the buttons on specialized "boxes" which are unwilling to address the more technical aspects of an audio signal.

  I have to say that the real (Absynth, Guitar Rig) synth plugins are not available in FCPX. They have ancillary effects ("FX") modules that are available. Not all of my instruments NOR appear in FCPX.

  You can search google for "in THE plugins' (or 64-bit to the plugins'-don't forget you must have 64-bit software to run in FCPX and Logic Pro X.)

  * When experiences with other audio plugins in FCPX (I didn't for a while!) many of them crashed FCPX [10.2.2], so maybe it's not the plugin of Guitar Rig specifically, but FCPX himself who crashes. I sent each Apple crash report. I hope they fix, because I like to play occasionally with audio (and the platform of guitar effects are really * very * nice.)

• Error opening JPG with photodraw

  This question relates to a question regarding opening JPG files using PhotoDraw 2000 V2.

  Late November 2010 Photodraw started error when opening NEW (e.g. just downloaded camera).  The error said that the file could not be opened because it was damaged.

  The configuration of the machine is:

  Hardware: Dell XPS 420

  Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2 - current with all the patches update at the time of this message.  (Windows live essentials had been installed and deleted later in this issue)

  BACKGROUND:

  This computer has fonctionnee Photodraw and Adobe's products perfectly since the machine was purchased in 2008.  There is absolutely no problem with the opening of all the types of files supported in Photodraw.  My wife uses almost exclusively the Photodraw while I use adobe products.

  In late November, she noticed that she could no longer open all new JPG files in its library.  Former (before November 2010) still open fine.  Whenever she tried to open one of the newer than this PhotoDraw files an error indicating that the file was corrrupt and cannot be opened.  These same JPGs may be opened in Adobe products, as well as in Picture Manager and several other photo editing software.  Examination of the content of the files using XnView and a hex editor revealed no corruption in files.  This led me to believe there is a software problem that was the result of an update.  Note that additions of software on this computer are fairly closely controlled with the exception of the MS Update that runs automatically.  Windows Live Essentials has been installed around this same time.

  RESOLUTION

  After several hours of very tedious file comparisons, I determined that the files JPEGIM32. FLT and GIFIM32. FLT both had respectively of 228 and 173 KB file sizes and timestamps of 26/07/2010.  I suspect that the new files are a component of Windows live.  I've renamed the two most recent files (located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Grphflt). FLT_OLD and copied the original from a CD of Photodraw files to this directory.

  PhotoDraw now returns to its full functionality... and especially my wife now has his favorite application to return.

  Editorial comment: it's a shame that Microsoft has discontinued this product because there is little that exists, which can be compared to its simplicity and intuitive functionality.

  QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE:

  1. can you please confirm the source of the most recent filter files so that I can ensure the functionality of another application has not been disrupted (I have not found anything yet)?

  2. what has changed in more recent files?  The size of the files of the new filters is smaller and there has been some changes in functionality.

Recently, I had this problem with Photodraw 2000 V2 on my XP Pro laptop.  I was very happy to find this thread and the simple solution to the problem.  I have no idea how my fliter file has changed.  My wife and I like some of the features of PhotoDraw.  Too bad Microsoft abandoned this product.

  I installed it on Windows 7 without problem, so it looks like we carry along for several years yet.  The only problem that I had when I installed it on Windows 7 was that my disc 3 (clipart, etc.) has deteriorated and is now unusable.  We can do the installation without this, but my wife uses some of these files.  Do you know of anywhere (assuming it's legal) to get a copy of disk #3?

• How to detect system events wifi / bluetooth / plane power on stunts?

  I'm trying to get invoked on some events rather than a loop of control for them (I looked in the Services of the platform BlackBerry - BPS but seems I can't record these events). I want to receive an event when the wi - fi, bluetooth or airplane mode between on - off.

  In addition, also when the user changes the mode of notification between sound - vibrate - mute, and when the unit is stopped or started.

  It runs as an application without a head.

• Contact management - retail

  I have read a lot about the overviews and how-to sections. All were helpful and led me in the right direction with the difficult task to find ways to clean the House when it contacts. I have a few questions, however, that no one was able to answer specifically enough so I that I can move on with my task.

  Some information:

  • I am a new employee with Eloqua full administrator permissions
  • Nobody seems to have any idea how programs/synchronization/etc. have been set up with our Eloqua installation
  • There is no current documentation on how or if the contacts are never purged, which leads me to believe that since they integrated Eloqua contact list has just been more and more until he reached more 600 000

  So now the questions!

  1. Is it possible to see/access, which is set up in Eloqua regarding synchronizations, without having to search all parameters.
  2. Eloqua maintains documentation of the original set ups that you can consult?
  3. What is the best way to purge the global contacts cancels his subscription and make sure that if they fill out a new form they will not be allowed in our campaigns?   Sorry for the late reply, Danielle, had a big time this week.

  Thus, in the doc actually remove chronogram Eloqua you create a filter shared to unsubscribe and hard Bouncebacks which get used then as a driver to your program 'Mark the remove from Eloqua Box' in the program generator. But we wanted to go further and remove contacts more that showed no activity.

  I then created another segment with filters for various criteria such as:

  • contacts with any form of support and visits the website of July 2012 or earlier
  • contacts with email addresses hotmail or yahoo without activity from July 2012 or earlier
  • where comes in contact with lead Original Source = pre-Eloqua without activity from July 2012 or earlier

  We are a B2b company and our sales cycle is about 6 months, so we didn't want to get rid of someone who was more recent than that even if they had of weak activity. And the reason why we targeted because yahoo and hotmail e-mail addresses that in many cases, that these contacts would not convert into customers, people would just use it to get our free trial but to take no action after that. You would have to do what makes sense for your business.

  So to go from there, I would export a list of contacts for each of these filters and randomly take 5-10 and check them in our CRM to see if they were really inactive. Then I would add them manually to the program "Mark the remove from Eloqua Box" by going to the members > add members to the program and then select my shared list. This manually adds the program only once. If you are comfortable that the data are correct and that you want to automate, you can add your new filters as feeders. All this will make more sense once you set up your own program. It didn't for me, until I went through all the steps.

  So far, it works pretty well for us. If you have any other questions, I'll be happy to help if I can.

• Impossible to update delegating Creative

  I can't update Adobe CC and other product of Adobe Creative cloud on my laptop Windows 8.1.

  But on my laptop is my past as a workstation (Windows 7) Photoshop 2014.2.2 version 2014.0.0. The problem is, I can't open the raw files from my camera because I need the DNG Converter 9.0 for the raw files from Canon EOS 70 D.

  Uninstall, reinstall and so on does not help.

  Can someone give me any other tips, what to do to solve this problem, please?

  Hi, thanks for the tips! It seems to work. I've updated my CC-Apps and got a new version of PS and LR, but the Help menu on the version is 2015.0.0. But the new filters that came with 2015.2.2 are available and functional. I'm not shure, if it's old or new version. The splash screen is different from the old version.

  CAPTIVATE 8 ANOMALIES/SUGGESTIONS:

  (List collected running because I'm editing...)

  • Is there a reason to type a zero under the width of line objects and fill opacity? We have lost the ability as well, select it in the list somewhere of 5.5. Why we cannot drag the value or label with the mouse, the ala CP 5.5 or controls of Photoshop? Why Adobe did you remove apparently useful feature?
  • In the image crop dialog box, you can not keep maintain size checked and check the Proportion of constraint (that should constrain Proportion, btw - drop the t). So I can not simply crop the edge off of the image and keep it at its current size - not original.
  • Under properties > character, I can't click on the name of the font and other areas to bring the list of fonts or change the font settings. Seems a shame to lose all that space and designate the user click on the arrow icon only little. Slows me down every time. I think that the idea is to type the first letter of the name of the police or other, but this is different from measures taken of most the other selection fields to Captivate and not something that I find useful here. Other areas have "cliquabilite" characteristic of ground overall.
  • The color selection dialog gets stuck on the last color assigned when changing the color of the selected text in a text block. For example, if I want to highlight the different not contiguous words in yellow, you must click another color, the same color you just use (in this case yellow) so he can change.
  • Under Advanced Actions, I've lost the ability of CP 5.5, click the selection box, then type the first letter of an object to go to this place in the list by alphabetical order.   Fully agree that we should have the scrubber or a cursor as in other Adobe applications opacity and stroke width, or even have the symbol of the void.  Some fields have the cleaning brush, others not. I discovered that if you use the arrow keys to change the values and confirm you once, then the update on the stage is powered but in other Adobe applications, live from the beginning. I am labeling this incompatibility and was the first to be happy when CP5 approximates UI other Adobe applications and was very sad when it was done back much CP8.

  I try to avoid to do that in first Grade, it is after all not an image of the culture editor.

  For fonts, I type a sequence of characters to join the police desired, as 'mus' Museo, or "lat" to Palatino. As new filtering option (undocumented, at least that on my blog and online seminars a few I presented) is available in stocks advanced as well, very useful, more useful than the old alphabetical order allowing only the first letter. Same principle as the fonts: the proper order is OK. Label all forms starting with SS_ and typing which will filter on the intelligent forms. If I use (part of) the name of the slide, I'll get all the objects on this slide. It works as well for common actions. You will see that I do not accept to have chosen in the drop-down lists, which is for me personally improved MUCH since 6 or 7. Unknown gem maybe.

  On the themes, forget this "last color" thing, that I find totally useless myself since many versions. You now have theme colors, and if you want to learn more about them:

  I never use the palette that you're talking about, but the one under the first button in the color dialog box, which has 10 theme colors and 5 additional shades for every theme color. The link between the swatches Panel (you need to import an ase file) and the colors of theme could be improved, but it is already a big improvement on the previous color management. For most of the interactions, the colors of theme can be applied as well, not even for all.

  Since you don't seem to be a beginner, why do you stay with that (sorry for the word 'stupid') beginner UI? Check the 4th option in preferences, General settings and you will be able to reconstruct (partially, because minimizing panels or docks to icons is no longer possible, which is a shame), workspaces, and have all the panels in the window menu.

  Update a project from versions both of: 5.5, 6, 6.1, 7 and 8 is always risky.  Perhaps that explains what happened with variables, actions.

  When I wrote a sample application, it works without any problem. Only the difference of the program come above exception is this library c ++ is responsible for true NYI and relevant event listener is added during a JNI method call.   Hi Sura,

  That exception would seem to indicate that libcoherence.so was loaded several times. Specifically the exception indicates that a course was recorded twice with our infrastructure of class loader, and this loading occurs as part of the static initialization of the library, which in turn is part of the loading of the library. While I'm not sure that the library has been charged twice to 100%, so it seems quite likely. On a danger noted, the changes above with 3.7.1 and we reporter class registration is delayed until the first time you try to use the library. So with 3.7.1 you will see a different behavior, even if the loading of the library several times always seems to be fatal.

• Where's the 'Goodies' CS6 file?

  Do a fresh install of CS6 extended on a new computer (Windows 7).  In an earlier version of the PS, there is a folder called Goodies, and it contains the filter HSB/HSL.  When I've updated since previous versions plugins and filters automatically migrate or I simply copied the Plugins > folder from the old version to the new filters.  Looking at the files extracted for CS6, I don't see the "Goodies" folder  In addition, when I look in c > Program Files > Adobe > CS6 > Plugins, there is no record of filters, just a record of the panels.

  It is no longer distribute or include a "Goodies" folder on the disk. For the HSB/HSL filter, you'll want to take the "OptionalMultiPlugin" plug-in, the beams of a few plug-ins. Also shipping plug-ins have been moved from the directory you might expect to find. All other 3rd-party plug-ins or plug-ins optionally can always be installed in such way without the need to add /Filters:

  Windows 7 and Vista (32 bit): Program Files (x 86) folder / Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins

  Windows 7 and Vista (64-bit): Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64-bit) / Plug-ins folder
