New folder or subfolder

I have more 'add a new folder' or 'Add new subfolder' in the drop-down list of drives or folders.

It's something that just happened.

The choice is now to add new "portfolio" and add new "compressed (zipped) folder."

No idea what caused this change?

Thank you

Hello

You can try the solution from here, http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/28677-new-context-menu-remove-restore-default-menu-items.html

Have not tried so I can't verify the validity. Also, do not know what OS you are using.

  • Lightroom 5.5 - "Edit in Photoshop" now records to a new folder instead of same subfolder

    Hi guys!

After the upgrade to Lightroom 5.4 5.5, when I choose now to change a photo using "Edit in Photoshop", then make a few changes and saving, photos record is no longer in the same folder Lightroom. Instead, they record in a folder named the same way * outside * the main photo directory I.

For example, I currently have my photos in "2014", then a subfolder called 'landscapes '.

Before, I used to edit photos in Photoshop would be saved in the same subfolder 'Landscapes' minus '2014'.

Now, photos are saved in a * new * "landscapes folder that is located in the same main directory like '2014"! "

How do I go back to have saved in the subfolder?

    Thank you!

Please see screenshot below - Lightroom has created a new folder "Clara & Central James" in the main directory outside of the folder "2014".

  • Windows 7 suddenly doesn't let me make a new folder/subfolder

I was able to create folders and subfolders in my library. Now, I can't create a new folder.

    Hello

You have discovered a problem with Windows 7. To resolve this problem, I recommend a program called FileMenu Tools. You can download the portable freeware from here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/System/System-Enhancements/FileMenu-Tools-Portable.shtml .

After having downloaded and installed the program, you will notice that, by default, each option is checked. I would be much more selective on this subject, otherwise your context menu will be a full page long! When the main window opens, you will see a list on the right side of all the elements that can be added to the context menu. Start weeding through the list and every one to take away, you don't need the United Nationsby checking the box.

Once you have completed your selection (de-selections) make sure that you click the green check mark in the row of icons at the top of the left window of the interface to 'Apply' of your choice. The program can do much more, but that answers your specific question. I am told that the program has a good help file, so try here if you are interested.

Let me know how you fare.

    Kind regards

  • New folder in gray and can be used or removed

I created a new folder but it is grayed out and when I try to put an email in it creates an another subfolder with a part of the subject of the email into it. Also I cannot now delete this files. When I go in remove it asks if I want to delete and I click on it but it does not remove.

I opened my profile via Help | For troubleshooting information, close Thunderbird and then search for the offending files/folders and delete them in your file manager. There may be .sbd files, including files that you created by mistake. Work in Thunderbird folders are files in your file system and have no extension. Each will have a companion with an .msf extension file. You can delete files without extension, their partner msf files and the appropriate SBD.

  • How can I prevent iTunes from bad put new music in a new folder?

I have a new Windows computer and moved all my music stored in iTunes, which went well.  I had to re-rip CDs (missing songs from a long - ago migration) and I noticed that instead of putting the songs in c:\users\username\music\itunes\itunesmedia, it is now declining these newly ripped songs in a subfolder in iTunes Media appointed, in addition, 'Music' (c:\users\username\music\itunes\itunesmedia\music).  I discovered this when I right click
Display in Windows Explorer and sees all the music from a CD in a folder.  Records are organized just like in iTunes Media, by artist name and that the mere fact that I know, they are not in one place, they play well.  Still, I would an album to be all in one folder, however.

    Here are my settings/preferences:

location of iTunes Media is: c:\users\username\music\itunes\itunesmedia

Maintain organized the iTunes Media folder is not checked

Copy the files in the iTunes folder when adding to Library Media is verified.

"I assumed that once when adding new songs, the: copy files to iTunes Media folder" would be my songs on behalf of the artist suitable in iTunes Media, but rather he loses music newly added in a new folder confusingly also named 'music' in iTunes Media.

Looking for suggestions on setting changes (a computer expert suggested I not check keep iTunes folder Media to keep the best control of my collection, but I wonder if this would solve everything.) In addition, it is a new computer and Windows music player ever has been implemented, so I don't think that there is a problem with both programs clashing.)

    Thx for helping me, Roberta

  • I can create a new folder, but it does not appear under my "Inbox".

I made sure that under 'View', my ball is then to display files "All". I do see the new folder as a subfolder of my Inbox, but it does not appear. I try to do it again, and he says that there are already?

I can't understand what is wrong!

    Jackie

    It's a Pop or Imap e-mail account?

If the IMAP, you need to register to see the folders created.

    If Pop, it should appear.
If it is a subfolder of the Inbox, the Inbox folder tree is reduced or developed?
If the Inbox contains subfolders, then a small arrow appears to the left of the "Inbox".
When collapsed this arrow is just a triangular outline.
When it is developed to display subfolders, the arrow turns black Uni.
You can expand/collapse the subtree by clicking the arrow.

  • Cannot save a bookmark to NEW folder - FF wants me to rename the EXISTING parent folder

I can't save a bookmark in a new folder. This is the way that I take from the main menu:
    Bookmarks | Bookmark this Page
Click on the drop down arrow to the right of the folder
    Select Choose
Navigate to the folder parent in which I would like a new subfolder
    Click new folder
Then, rather than create a new folder, as it has always done in the past, it will highlight the folder parent for editing. If I type a new folder name, the parent folder is replaced by the new name. A new subfolder is created with the name of the new folder.

Things, I already tried that does * not * solve the problem:
-Remove and then restore bookmarks from a file backup saved favorites.
    -Execution of the add-on "housekeeping."
    -Rebuild the database of "places".

I have not yet reset Firefox or created a new profile but may try it if you gurus think it would help.

I use FF 32.0.2 on Win XP SP3.
I have hundreds and hundreds of bookmarks, but what I've read, there is no maximum size limit.

    Thank you in advance!
    Carol

I thought about it! I kept scratching my head... whenever I tried to update, move or save a new bookmark, it moved very, very slowly. Sometimes, if I waited long enough, he would perform the action I wanted. But if I tried to push it along, it would have hard work (as described in my first post above). While it does take so long to manipulate and save the bookmarks file? It dawned on me... I recently set up sync with my mobile phone. So whenever I was saving a bookmark, Favorites file was also updated in Google sync account. Work with bookmarks has slowed down for an analysis! And it has destroyed my bookmarks file. No thanks, I can do without it. I disconnected Sync and immediately, my bookmarks and bookmark behavior are back to normal! Yay!

Of course, I don't have my synchronized Favorites in Firefox on my cell phone, no more, but I can live without this until the process is improved.

  • What is the purpose of the Windows/C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder and subfolder ScanFile?

I have a lot of folders and files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution (about 500 + MB), and I find the articles which the ScanFile subfolder indicate that this is due to a virus or other malicious threats.  Please can anyone provide some comments regarding that this folder is intended to do.

    Thank you

    Neal

    Hello

The software in Windows XP Distribution folder is a system folder used to store the updates configuration information and other programs. Most of the time, you can delete the contents of the folder to free up disk space.

The folder contains information and files needed for the installation of system updates and downloaded the software. These files are used often only once, when the program or the update in question is first installed. The folder may cause problems with the installation of the program if the data becomes damaged or corrupted.

Analysis file subfolder contains the scanned images of the documents, pictures, etc. Whenever you scan, a new folder is created and the files that are scanned, the images are stored in this folder. You can save the images that are present in this folder and then remove it from the system.

  • Why won't my new folder button

When I try to create a subfolder by clicking "New filing" nothing happens.  He used to work, but suddenly stopped.  I have a lot of folders and subfolders, but now I can not create more.  It's to my hard drive and external hard drive storage.

    Hello

Instead of the option to change the folder, you want the option to create a new folder. Then after if you uncheck all the options you want, you have to click on the green check mark icon in the upper left corner. If you do not click on it, the utility won't 'remember' your selections.

If you need more help than that, please describe in detail what you are doing and what is the result. Well done, you should be able to create new folders anywhere on your computer. So please do not give up!

Let me know if this helps you.

  • I used to be able to add new files in libraries by clicking on the tab 'add a new folder '. Now it does not work.

When I go to the library to add a new folder, it does not work.  I used this method, many, many times with no problems.  I have not tried to add a new folder in about a month, I think.  I clicked on the file I want to add a subfolder to do a right click.  He asked new portfolio name.  I find that odd because I have this experience only on my desktop and my laptop.

What should I do to return to the method to add a new folder?

  • New folder of music on the curve blackBerry Smartphones

I am trying to find a way to put a few rhymes on the curve, but not in the same folder of MUSIC on my media 2 gig card. I'd rather not play Madagascar in listening to my favorite songs! I'm currently hiding them in my RINGTONE folder because if I can't understand how a new storage spot and have the BB find him.

I made a new folder in the MUSIC folder using the desktop software and put the songs, but the folder disappears when I try to find it.

    Any help is very appreciated!

all music files must be either music or rigtones folder or in a subfolder of these two folders.
If you use a different folder, the files will not be indexed by the media application and you won't see them unless you use Solution Explorer.

playlist is a good idea, but you can also simply change all your children mp3
and change the IDTags: set the 'kiddy' example Album field.

then in the media application, search by album and select kiddy.
