  WOW! At least temporarily, my solution is press Setup (the key) right arrow to TOOLS #6 tab. type OK.
  Tab (# 2) clean the print head. Hit OK. If all goes well, take a step back, let the process and be surprised. A second test may be necessary.
  It works at least for a day. Maybe it's your solution.  Jesus is our only hope!

  You have installed the drivers and software for your printer?  Did you go to the printer manufacturer's website to see if they still have 8 available Windows compatible drivers?  If the answer is no, then you must do this before all first I try to print.

  I use a 3800DN HP color Laserjet running OK on OS 10.11.1. I recently installed a new hard drive and updated my Mac OS to 10.11.3.  Now the printer displays a blank even if the normal text on the page shows printer driver window. It happens with PDF and DOCX files. This HP is no longer a driver software download for this printer so I can not try to reinstall the driver.   I know its an old model, but it was sent to my 11 year old son.  For some reason any (even with new ink cartridges) the printer go wrong print requests and test pages but don't actually print on the page.  It spits out a blank page.  What can I do to get it printing again?

  As the ink cartridges and printer were unused for almost 2 years I bought fresh ink cartridges and now it prints. It seems that they have been solidified in a gooey gel. New ink = problem solved.

• HP 2175xi on Windows 7 only prints blank pages

  I used to have Windows Vista Business. and just upgraded to Windows 7 Professional. I had my 2175xi long period (4 years and more) and it worked very well.

  When I upgraded to Windows 7, the installation has said I can have trouble with the 2175xi all-in, but I went ahead anyway. The printer was not connected to the time wherever I've updated (long story). I connected the printer and got the printer through Windows Update driver update. But but now prints blank pages, or pages with a cut-off line at the top of the page, even on the "Print a Test Page" function. I restarted the PC, I have reset the printer, and I checked/exchanged my USB cable. I do not have another old printers/drivers/etc. I looked at hp.com for a newer driver, but each page seems to say that I can get this driver through Windows Update, not by a direct download from HP.

  This is the 2nd time that I had major problems with the HP drivers on a new version of Windows. If it is a marketing ploy to get me to buy a new printer, it works - but it will not be a HP I get next time! If all goes well, it's just a small easily fixable problem.

  Has proved to be a simple problem. I went into the menu devices and printers, deleted the printer, the printer is off and then turned it back. Plug N Play picked up, installed the driver again, and now it works.

  Looks like there is something wrong with the print on your Mac driver. To resolve this problem, we will need refresh your printing system and re - add the printer driver.

  Reset the printing system:

  To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under"Reset printing in OS X Lion system" because the steps are the same for Mac OS X 10.10. This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do add not your HP Photosmart back in right now.

  Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.

  Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

  1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
  2. Go to the Utilities folder
  3. Open disk utility
  4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
  5. Select verify disk permissions
  6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

  Add device:
  1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

  2. click on print and scan and then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

  3. click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer.

  4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer.

  5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Ensure that the driver of the HP Photosmart camera is selected.

  

  6. click Add to add the printer to the list. Do not add the AirPrint driver.

  Printer was working fine.  Had to change the cartridge. First of all, I didn't have black and now I don't have much color either.  The printer says I had no real HP though now it shows that I do. I never bought my cartridges anywhere but the staples.  Printing October 2012 have changed many cartridges before you buy.  Followed everything I could find.  Still not printing.

  Please, try the following steps to see if it will help solve the problem.

  Printer cannot print black ink or color ink or prints blank Pages.

  I have a C309a which will suddenly alone out of blank pages.  I used it two days ago and it printed fine.  Now will print blank.  This is deceased so I try to print from my PC (windows 7) or if I just try to make a copy directly from the printer itsself.  If I try:

  Directly to the printer:

  Make a copy: page comes out blank

  Printer Status Report: Prints color square in the Middle

  Report on the quality of printing: print well

  Clean print heads: it is empty with the exception of 6 blocks of color on the bottom of the sheet

  Via USB:

  Test print page: print well

  Clean print heads: page comes out blank

  Print a diagnostic page: print well

  Print a sample Page: comes out blank

  Via wireless:

  Print a wireless test page: page comes out blank

  Print a sample page: page comes out blank

  Print a test page: does not print

  Print a diagnostic page: print well

  Clean print head: prints white

  Has anyone else had this problem?  Any ideas what the prohblem might be?  Thank you very much!
