New hard disk dive on Satellite C855-29N

Hello

I have a breakdown of total hard drive with my laptop Satellite C855 - 29N 64-bit Windows. I ordered a new hard drive for replacement. My problem is that although I did back up disks of my damaged disk before it failed, I fear that these disks will not work for the new hard drive.

I would appreciate your advice on what I need to do to reinstall the operating system and any contact: e-mail, phone numbers or any other useful tips.

Thank you very much.

Why not? Recovery media created has no limitation. Many people Exchange original HDD with the most recent or even SSDS. I did the same thing and I installed after Exchange, original image of recovery without any problem.

Just, without panic. ;)

Exchange HARD drive, set the BIOS to the default settings and try to install the recovery image using recovery media created.
If please post comments and do not hesitate to ask if you need help.

    Hi all

First post, if not in the right region can a mod move it please, I bought Toshiba laptop may 2013, Satellite C855-29N end.

He had an offer with this laptop, 6 months free movie tickets
Through toshiba, filled in all the necessary details and waiting since then, Ive has had no email from Toshiba, I kept an original email regarding this offer.

now when I click on the site link is dead,
Can someone point me in the right direction that I can not find email address for Toshiba.

    Thank you

I think that these offers will vary depending on the country in my country I ve not heard of something like that.
Try to contact the closest service provider and ask for help. They are in touch with Toshiba seat in your country and maybe they can help you with this.

Out of curiosity, but where do you come from?

  • Satellite l.660-12 q - would the recovery disk rebuild the new HARD disk with a new recovery partition

Talk about confusion. Does anyone know how to get a Toshiba C660 work after the HARD drive failed and the owner has stupidly NOT followed the instructions to make a recovery disk. Will be the recovery disk (if buy you one from Toshiba) rebuild the new HARD disk with a new recovery partition and install windows 7 (original OS) and accept the product key printed on the Windows license, attached to the base of the laptop. I have read a number of suggestions, but these have been considered incorrect by others.

Surely, Toshiba must have a way to sort this problem.

    They read these messages?

    Hey Buddy

I don't think it's really complicated, that I could find all the information about the recovery procedure in the user's manual

The recovery disk must be created on the first day of purchase its recommended to create one in case something would be wrong with the HARD drive.

The recovery disk contains an image. The image is a package containing Win system, drivers, tools and all the stuff pre-installed on the notebook.
You bought the laptop and the system has already been activated so that you have need of t the key placed at the bottom of the unit.
In addition, the use of the recovery disc formats the drive HARD integer (partitions too) and set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of the purchase.

There is also another option to recover the notebook called HARD drive recovery. This HARD drive recovery requires no recovery disk. The recovery disc HARD would be to use format ONLY partition C (System).

  • Re: Satellite C855-29N - CPU tips

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite C855-29N model. It was a refurb and was advertised as having an i3 clocked at 2350 m, but he did a b960m. I'm not messing around with the return of what I really like the laptop but I was wondering just on the upgrade of the processor for the i3.

I know that you are not officially compatible it as such, but the i3 - 2350 m example would be compatible with the laptop?

According to the specification of laptop has this model of laptop PENTIUM CPU B960SP inside (original configuration) and I don t know where you got more information on i3.

If you don't like this original configuration best option for you is to return and buy another laptop with your favorite hardware. Update CPU or Exchange is not supported.

  • New hard disk and overcommitment WARNING

I'm trying to add a new hard disk to a virtual computer on a NFS datastore that applies a provisioning. Our NFS volumes are set to auto grow, if they reach a certain threshold. This normally isn't a problem, and so over-provisioning us like crazy.

Recently, however, we encountered a problem when a new hard drive size exceeds free space in the data store. He responds with the following error (creation of a to 1.99 VMDK):

New-hard drive: 04/08/2014-10:44:09 new-harddisk for the VirtualMachine-vm-10964 entity failed with the following message: "not enough disk space on the data store"datastore1".ยป

Perform the same task in the vSphere Client generates the following warning, which can be bypassed by clicking 'OK ':

I tried to create a smaller drive and increase it, but I get the same error. I do not see a - Force parameter or anything equivalent. Is it possible to approve via PowerCLI?

The ThinProvisioned switch is an option, or which is in conflict with the NFS configuration?

  • Need new hard disk for Equium A100

    Hello

I want to replace the 80 GB HDD of my A100 for something big.
    I'm guessing it's a SATA, I'll need?

Nobody knows what is the greatest, my laptop can handle without any performance?
Just to confirm that it is a satellite A100-027

Also, I literally get out the old one, stick in the new and then load Windows XP on it? Is it really as simple as that :/?

    Hello

Yes, the A100 Equium supports the SATA HDD controller and so you will need a SATA 2.5 HARD disk!

    > Also, I literally get out the old one, stick in the new and then load Windows XP on it? Is it really as simple as that :/?
Yes, the upgrade of the HARD drive is not difficult.
In most cases, you will need to remove the HDD from the laptop's HARD drive Bay, then switch the HARD drive bracket to the new HARD drive, then insert the new HARD disc again in Notepad.

    That s it.

  • Can't see the new hard drive on my Satellite Pro 6100

I bought a new Toshiba 40 GB hard drive for my Satellite Pro 6100.
I installed it in the Bay, but it is not recognized in the BIOS, or when I try to reinstall using the recovery disk!
Bios recognize that there are in the car, even if it is not formatted?
    I'm missing something?

    Thanks in advance

    Neil

    It should work!

The reader should also be recognized that even he is not formatted...

    3 things you can do:
At the start you can go in bootmenu and check if the drive is recognized on the 1st controller.
If this is not the case, check the configuration of the drive (master, slave, CSEL).

If this is not enough to check the toshiba support website and download the latest version of the bios (probably you already have, check as mentioned above)

If this does not work your new drive (or worse: your controller) could be faulty. If the reader of the Moose still work on your laptop, check the 40 GB drive to another laptop or PC with adapter ATA connection normal.

  • Re: How to install Windows from a recovery on a new hard disk media?

Immediately after a Windows Update, my computer will not re-start. It says disk error.

I could not start it from the recovery media and F8 would not work. I bought and installed a new hard drive. Now, when I put in the recovery media to install Windows on the new drive, it gives an error message.

What this may be? Would I be able to install Windows from the recovery media?
It is Windows 7 and laptop Satellite A500, 64 bit.

    Hello

In General, you can install Recovery on each compatible HARD drive image so you should not be a problem in this regard.

Please tell us what happens when you start installation of recovery. What error message?

New HARD drive is recognized in the BIOS. Before you begin installation of recovery BIOS default value.

  • New hard drive on the Satellite A200-13V

First of all sorry for my English, I will do my best...

I changed the hardrive disk on my computer A20013V satellite phone without problem. When I try to install vista with the original disk evrything seems right up until the disc is ejected. But when I start after ejecting it appears vista is not installed correctly and I am prompted to start the installation... I tried several times but same thing happens every time.

Any suggestions on what I could do?
    Thank you.

    Hello Teo

Do you use any new HARD drive?
Can you put more details on this HARD drive? Brand, capacity?

  • the new hard disk OS installation - help! 1

has confirmed that my old hard drive on my laptod hp is broken.

new hard drive came - still in packaging.

What should I do next, after the installation of the hard disk that is the easy bit - thankfully I did of the disks when I first bought the old laptop and the windows license number is still visible under the cover of laptop.

I read something about BIOS, but it sounds scary.

go for a drink and the Dutch courage and hope a few simple tips please!

    concerning

    Ian

If you have the recovery disks, they should include your operating system (Vista) and all the drivers and programs provided with your computer. He must restore it to the way it was when you bought it originally.

You need to update right after installation (of course).

    Good luck!

  • Merging 2 partitions on a hard disk again on Satellite X 200-21 L

    Ok
my situation: I bought the Satellite X 200-21 L (European version of the X 205-SLi3) on this point, I have two hard drives with a capacity of 160 GB per disk.
But among the hard disks is divided into two partitions, the partition "C:" for progra0ms and vista and partition "F:" for what you want.
The second hard drive D: is normal without a split (160GB).
But now, my score of the first hardrive (where is saved the programms and viste) is full. Therefore, I want to know, if possible, to unite the two bulkheads again!

    -is it possible?
-can which program I use? Vista its own program to do this?
-I only have a recovery CD... so I don't want to lose my data! the hidden for the automatic system recovery partition could be damaged?
-is only possible to run such a program, which protect my data and unite those partitions without losing something?

    My hard drives:

    File data-system: NTFS
Hardrive-Capacity: 160 GB (two of them, one is divided into two partitions))
    size: 2.5 Zoll
    Rotation speed: 5400U/min
    Cache memory: 8 MB
    average access time: 11 ms
port (internal): IDE 40Pin (Ultra DMA/ATA-66)
    MTBF: 600000 hours
Engine technology: dynamic fluid bearing / RoHS compliant

    THX!

As far as I know that something like this is possible. You can do the following:

    1. remove all data of D on the second HARD drive
    2. open Computer Management > disk management
    3. click with the right button of the mouse on the D partition, and then choose the option Remove Volume
    4. click with the right button of the mouse on the C partition and select Extend Volume option
    5. simply follow the menu on the screen

    All that s!
