New iMac for After Effects

According to the Adobe site, the GeForce GTX 660 M is supported by AE CS6. It's the map at the bottom of range 27 inch iMac, but I was counting on obtaining a highend iMac, which has the 675MX or the 680MX. (based on 1 GB or 2 GB of VRAM)

I wanted to get one that includes the 680MX, but I don't want to After Effects for support it do not. Does anyone know treat it, and if an update is coming which will support this?

Another option is for me to build a really nice computer, but then I have no Mac OS X, which I absolutely love. If you have a recommendation, please let me know!

Today, we released update after effects CC (12.1), which adds what GPU to the list of maps that After Effects will use for the GPU of the 3D rendering engine acceleration traced to the RADIUS.

  • How to optimize a new iMac for After Effects

I bought the most tricked out available, with 32 GB of ram, a graphics card updated, all new iMac everything.

But export my project out of After Effects takes so much time on my new iMac, as it did on my macbook 2011 - about 6 hours.

I know how to handle my export settings, so maybe I just need to change my computer's system settings to work better with After Effects.

Mac had no advice and showed me Adobe, so I'm here.

    Any advice?

Learn more about optimizing your system for AE and follow these guidelines, allocate multiples of 4 GB of ram for your process. At the very least keep the ram allocated in multiples of 2 GB. If you use the rendering of the MP, then make sure that the total number of processors equals the total number of processors. It is easy to end up with 0 actually used processors if you allocate too much ram to a core. If you use traced rendered section make sure that you have configured correctly and that you have a NVIDIA GPU correctly configured and installed the latest drivers, CUDA. You must check the box "use maps not taken in charge" in your preferences for rendering raytraced using CUDA is is no longer developed by Adobe. If you do not have or have not properly configured your NVIDIA card, then DO NOT install Cuda drivers.

Last point, note that all projects will work with MP because not all plugins and codecs are aware of MP well. Also, do not have your FAT disk cache. He has no sense cluttering up your available disk space and you strip total system bandwidth with a large number of redundant or unnecessary reading write cycles.

  • Best new Mac for After Effects

I am a composer who works with After Effects and am in the market for a new computer. I'm trying to decide between an iMac (3.5 GHz quad-core i7, 8 to 32 GB of RAM, 3 TB Drive, NVIDIA GTX 780 M 4 GB GDDR5 Fusion) and a Mac Pro (3.7 GHz quad core, 12 to 64 GB of RAM, 256 GB to 1 TB of storage flash and Dual AMD over-pants D300 with 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM GPU each/D500/D700-3 GB 6 GB). I was expecting some tips on the Mac Pro is worth the additional investment for After Effects - the software will take advantage of the extra power, or an iMac will be sufficient?

After Effects is a program of CPU load and memory. The MacPro is faster, more scalable and more capable in all directions over the long term. Take any money you can save on the GPU and spend it on ram, buy some storage external thunderbolt, a table if you can afford it. External storage is a good idea for any system. The iMac will be a GPU capable or traced to the given radius, but it is a very slight advantage for a very limited type of project that will be of little benefit in the grand scheme of things.

  • Buy a new Machine for After Effects

Can anyone give me some advice on which system to get to a user of After Effects, Maya and Photoshop.

I'm looking for Dell and HP and I would like to know what level of processors, the amount of ram and what type

video card etc. I would get a fast and reliable system without going overboard.

MM, for 3-4 K, you can pretty much get one Z-600 HP or one of the Dell Precision T7500's. You don't have to bother with E-series quads, get a Xeon X series or, if you're really ready to spend a lot, a W. Jeter set in at least 12 GB of RAM. The value default 6 GB is far too little. 24GB is even better, but beyond those probably not improve things more far. Graphics will depend largely on your needs of Maya. AE itself is quite low density using OpenGL, so a low Quadro of range, or even a normal GeForce card or ATI will do.

  • I can't believe I bought the new nVidia Zotac GeForce 960 AMP! for After Effects and it are not compatible! Is that what I can do to fix this?

I was interested to get a subscription to the cloud, but I just found out that my GPU is not compatible with After Effects. It's a deal breaker. Can't believe that there isn't a patch or something for this graphics card excellent!

The only feature in After Effects for which this card cannot be used is acceleration GPU of the obsolete plotted in 3D rendering engine Department. All the other features of After Effects GPU must serve very well as this card. Keep in mind that After Effects uses the GPU for very little, so the GPU doesn't matter much for After Effects, anyway.

  • What is the best graphic card for after effect

    Hello
my graphics card is not supported for after effect. I'll buy a new one and I would like to know what is the best
    Thank you

There is never a simple answer for such a question, but:
List of cards supported for 3D Ray Tracing in AE, you will find it here: after effects configuration required for Mac OS and Windows

More information on NVidia: Adobe after effects CC - 3D Graphics workflow | NVIDIA

But to be honest, most of the nvidia graphics cards will work with AE - ELA easier - more Cuda cores better.
But before you spend a lot of money for the high GPU know AE uses mainly from CPU to GPU rendering is not so important. It uses the GPU only for RayTracing (obsolete)

    and some third-party plug-ins.

  • 750ti GTX or Radeon HD 7970 for After Effects

    Hello

I'm building a new PC, mainly to work with After Effects, but I can't decide between the Nvidia GTX 750Ti and AMD Radeon HD 7970.

OK, so the 750ti is more recent, but it is much lower that the 7970 HD (it has less memory, less units of the shading, lower rate of pixel, lower rate of texture, etc., etc.), but it also has a lower energy consumption (which is not really important to me). But much more is has it Nvidia Cuda, who can work in After Effects.

So my question is: how much Cuda really helps? Is it better that a card is more powerful (in terms of all the other stats that I wrote), or is it better that it is less powerful, but Cuda?

    Thanks in advance.

(BTW, I currently have AMD Radeon HD 7770, and I have a really weak and old, CPU that I intend to upgrade after the GPU)

CUDA is almost completely unrelated to After Effects. It is used by an obsolete feature that is phased out.

  • Why K5200 Quadro card from Nvidia does not appear as a map taken in charge for after effects CC 2014? It is listed as supported for first Pro CC 2014.

I am putting together the specs for a Dell workstation that I use to make Adobe CC work, including video with After Effects and Premiere Pro. My computer expert worries that the card Quadro K5200 I want to have the system is listed as supported for Premiere Pro CC 2014, but that it is not listed as supported for after effects CC 2014. Are there problems of compatibility with this card and EI?

    Thank you!

I enjoy the conversations of the sidebar and it's valuable information, but I'm really hoping to hear from Adobe on why this card is not listed, supported by the AE.

Oooh, I can answer this too!

Development and release of the CC, they do not work with the rendering engine raytraced we did at all (except in the align each version for compatibility reasons), so no more cards have been (or is going to be) tested and added to the white list.

It may be a bit before someone with the official logo of has is available in. This is a user forum. We are grateful that Adobe people push their heads in many (seriously, gets it the AE Forum is a lot of love by considering how tiny the AE team), but sometimes it can take a while so that they appear. (Especially if some of them are on holiday). That's why they have people like us; We cannot have has, but we have M, V and P

Speaking of the integration of C4D: when I recently visited the offices of the Adobe team, I must have a look at some of the new technology, they are working on future versions. I am very pleased of the future development of the AE. The lines between 3d and compositing are really starting to fade. Some of the things that currently lack us (expressions to control the animation of models C4D, for example) will be addressed.

Now, if you plan to do a lot of work in 3d which is most often the titles and that sort of thing, I think looking at the 3d or 3d Zaxwerks Invigorator element. Latest version of the item makes it extremely fast given it's beautiful, it can look. It's amazing, really. (And it uses the GPU!)

  • Document text for After effect Cs4

I never opened the After Effects CS4, but it's amazing...

For the start, want to try Animatin text but could not created the text document.

When I created the text in Photoshop and import to After Effects, then it will show "transform" not "text".

How can I create the document text for After Effects...?

Thanks for reading and the little help please

Creating text in legacy is really easy.

    Create a new publication

Go to layer > new > text.

    Write what you want.

You can animate text by using transformation options, or you can apply the animation presets that are really cool.

Hello, is it possible to register after effects cc for after effects cs6? Thank you!

This page explains what Mylenium explains more in detail: open projects After Effects of previous versions and re-registration in previous versions

Basically, you will need to register as a CC (AE version 12) and open it in AE version 12 and save it as CS6.

  • 32 GB or 64 GB of RAM for After Effects CC 2014?

    -All right, let's do this:

    1. System Specs:
    2. Card mother Asus X 99 Deluxe Usb 3.1
    3. 32 GB DDR4 RAM Corsair
    4. Intel i7 5960 x @ 3.0 GHZ CPU
    5. 2 x EVGA NVIDIA GTX 970 s
    6. Samsung 256 GB 850 Pro (boot drive)
    7. 1 TB Samsung 850 Pro (Cache, Source footage, rendering output, etc. By car)
    8. Seagate 2 TB HDD (backup drive)
    9. Thermaltake 1000W PSU gold
    10. Corsair H105 cooler of liquid

So, I do create After Effects compositions really intensive (usually from 10 to 20 layers by composition) and to make use of almost all the effects, there (as the displacement of pixels, motion blur, etc.) for many of my compositions.  32GB has worked pretty well, but I recently had a problem where the computer recognizes only 8 GB of RAM; in view of this, I noticed the huge difference in performance after effects CC 2014 between 8 and 32 GB (8GB off multiprocessing, for example).  This makes me wonder... saw how intense my compositions are, 64 GB would create a noticeable difference?  I have the ability to be upgraded to 64 GB right now (optionally) for free by "scheming and business."  What types of performance gains I could expect from 32 GB to 64 GB DDR4 DDR4?

The performance gain would be very important for After Effects. Go ahead!

Premiere Pro (this forum) isn't really helped a lot when the RAM is updated past 32 GB, but After Effects uses RAM for previews and may even beg for more than 64 GB on systems either.
