New Internet connection.

I want to buy the new Internet connection. Help, please?

Hi Gavin,

To connect to the Internet, you need to have an ISP (ISP, Internet Service Provider). In most regions, you will be able to connect to the Internet by using a local ISP, which is a company in your town that makes its business by selling Internet connections.

Please check your local program for companies that can provide you with you with an Internet connection available.

If broadband service is available in your area, the company often will provide you with the equipment necessary to connect to their service that connects to a network (RJ-45 connector) card, USB connection, or Wi - Fi wireless.

Hope that answers your query. You can write back to us for other queries/problems related to windows and we will be happy to help you further.

  • Cannot open new internet connections after running WMP (existing stay open)

Hello.  I'm having a strange problem when I run Windows Media Player 11 on Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit).  It does not immediately occur, but whenever I run WMP, my internet connection will be some time after you cease to be able to open new internet connections - for example, I can't open the Web Pages in Internet Explorer, my Sidebar gadgets can not update and such, but my IRC client remains connected to his server (although I can't connect to a new server).  As I said, my internet does not die immediately, it might take an hour or two, but if I run WMP and that he do nothing else whatsoever but leave my computer for once it is a guarantee that this problem occurs.  To fix that I can understand, the only way is to restart.

I read something about what is possibly caused by WMP somehow using up to the maximum allowed simultaneous incomplete tcp/ip connect attempts, but it should be originally the 4226 error code is not present when I run the Windows Event Viewer.

I use Avast! for my virus scanner and I have BOINC/SETI @Home running in the background.  Turn it off does not seem to make a difference, however.  I'm not under any P2P software.

Any ideas on this annoying problem would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Jpetrisor,

I also suggest you to re-record the files related to Windows Media Player and check

    Step 1:

To do this, follow the steps below:

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt, type the following commands.

Type regsvr32 wmp.dll, and then press ENTER.

Type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then press enter

Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then press enter

    c. restart the computer and check if the problem is resolved.

    Step 2:

You can also consult the following KB articles and run the Fixit provided in the articles or try the steps manually to resolve the problem.

  • new HP Mini 311 and no internet connection at home

I just bought a HP Mini 311-1000NR Netbook and already have problems with the internet connection.  We are at home, with a Linksys router wireless (sorry, I don't have the model # to work!).  My netbook detects wireless to my home network, but I can't log on the internet... so, my question is what I need to add the netbook as an additional device to our linksys router?  Or y at - it a simpler solution to my dilemma, without resorting to resume the netbook!

I would be very happy for any help in this matter!

I guess I don't know why I do not think to do earlier but my netbook was not set up as a new device with my router, so that was the reason for which I could not access the internet.  DUH! , Once this is done, so I was able to connect to the internet using my home network without any problems.

    Problem solved...!

    Thanks for your help!

Please use the forum answers of Vista,

Check in Control Panel > Device Manager > locate the adapter wireless network in the list, right-click and choose Properties.  On the last tab, power management, uncheck the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

  • Internet connection no longer works unless I have disconnect and reconnect the wifi regularly

I find that after a time random, maybe twenty minutes a half an hour or so, my internet connection breaks down and it can only be fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting to my wifi network.

It is a problem on my iMac of retina 2014 running El Capitan and 2011 MacBook Air my wife running Mountain Lion (but not on my MacBook Air of 2011 which takes place in Yosemite).

It does not seem to be triggered by almost anything, but it's maddening to have to do all the time. It's a router NetGear btw, less than a year.

If anyone has a solution I'd love to hear it!

    Greetings, peederjigson!

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! It seems you have some problems to stay connected to the Wi - Fi on some of your devices. This is not how it is supposed to work so I'll be happy to help you.

Use the Diagnostics wireless for you help to solve the problems of Wi-Fi on your Mac - even with a new router, the firmware may need to be updated. But this article can go a long way to point out where it is.

The potential of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interference sources - because this is not the case with all your devices, it could be other things blocking the signal. Here are a few potential sources.

Recommended settings for the WiFi routers and access points - because your router is "-ish" make sure that the settings are correct.

    Have a great day!

  • Internet connection is unstable

    Hello
For a week now, my internet connection Firefox has been unstable. Usually, after you open a new tab, I need to click the 'Try' again on the 'server not found' - several times (5-10) to finally create a connection to the page.

I use Firefox on Win XP Pro SP3 39.0. Firewall settings look ok. Protection of navigation and the virus is F-Secure (to date).
Unfortunately the problem seems not to have an impact on Firefox only (Chrome access to electronic mail and Outlook are similarly unstable).

I use a shared via a Windowsphone wifi connection and can connect with the browser of the phone without problem (so I don't think that the problem is associated with ISP).

I did a scan complete antivirus without reported problems.

Any advice would be welcome. Thank you!

It seemed to me a solution by changing the definitions of DNS server. I unchecked obtain DNS server addresses automatically and specified in quinquonce and the preferred DNS server addresses (used 8 8 8 8 8 8 4 4 respectively).

  • Only https links work. Never installed security software. Never messed with the settings of internet connection. Refreshed Firefox. No joy.

Firefox worked like a dream for as long as I got - until two days ago.
It suddenly stopped linking to http sites. Still works for https sites, however.
This problem does not exist in Safari (but I prefer Firefox!).

Some dig and can already tell you that:
    (1) no additional security software have been installed.
    (2) no changes were made to internet connection settings.
    (3) connection Wifi is strong and fully functional (as it has always been)

I followed the procedure of "Refresh" recommended on this forum - still no luck.
I am the only person working on the two devices listed below.
    They are not networked.
Only for personal use at home, or when they realize (the laptop).

    iMac: 7.1 model
OS X (Snow Leopard) 10.6.8 (the Mac is too old to support higher versions)
    Memory: 1 GB

Have the same problem on many newer MacBook Pro:
    OS X (Mountain Lion) 10.7.5
    Memory: 4 GB

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.
