new macbook pro computer and Premiere Pro CS6

I bought another Apple, another MacBook Pro computer. I downloaded creative Cloud applications (PP 6.02, Media Encoder, etc..) I downloaded the Media Encoder 'fix'. I have a portable media player which I can move. On the old computer it plays very well. On the NEW computer, about a third of the stuff is offline.  I studied and all the stuff off line was originally encoded with Final Cut Pro 7.03. It is said to page 43 of Adobe first Pro CS6 Classroom in a Book that "it is better to use Final Cut Pro to import your media." I tried plugging it back in, and the error message says "codec missing or inaccessible."  Help!

You should ask in the forums of Premiere Pro here http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere. They will be able to help you.
