New Smart Album PSE9 Mac OSX problems

I am running PSE9 on a Macbook Pro and Imac, both using Mac OS x. creating a new Smart Album on the Macbook works perfectly, but on the Imac, it is impossible. When I try to create a new Smart Album I just get a spinning ball and everything stops. I uninstalled PSE9 and the organizer and also removed any trace of them in the library. Their Setup again and make sure that I import images of only a dozen in organizer makes things a little better. This time the spinning ball lasted for a minute and then I could create smart albums. I then tried to create another Smart Album and had the ball rotates for a few minutes. Creation of the Smart Album has been even worse. There is no problem with the normal albums.

Someone has a way to turn it. I have about 9000 images, dating back to 2001, and I want to set annual records for smart Albums are a very useful tool.

A similar request by another Member some time ago received no feedback.

Thanks for any help.

I use OS x 10.8.2. Your solution works perfectly - thanks.

I still don't see why the smart albums do not work on my iMac while it works on my Macbook Pro. If anyone has an idea please let me know.

I'll give this discussion a few days and then close it.

Thank you

OK, I use Dreamweaver 8.0.1 (I installed the update) and I am on Mac OS x 10.4.4.

  • Update Adobe Flash Player on Mac OSX problems

I'm pretty new on a Macintosh and it tells me to update Adobe Flash Player.  I get to the point where I get a box called the Adobe Flash Player installer, but the box is all black and nothing happens.  I disabled the antivirus and understand that I have to disable my Safari also?  But I don't know how to do this.  Could be the problem?  If Yes, could someone please tell me in simple language how to proceed?  If this is not the case, what could be the problem?  I appreciate your help.

  • PSE9/Win 7: Can I create a Smart Album of all images that do not have a certain tag?

With the help of PSE9 on Windows 7.

I would like to create a Smart Album that contains all images that do not have a particular tag.

When I click on create new Smart Album dialog box allows me to select "key words".

But I'm calling "Include". I can select the tags I want.

Basically, I want to include it in "exclude".

Any way to do something like that?

    Hello

    You can try this.

    (1) view all photos

    (2) check the keyword tag you are interested in

    (3) under Options, Select hide correspond better results & show results that do not match (i.e. reverse the last two conditions).

    to read

That should show you what you wanted to see

    (4) now use the option high save search criteria as Smart Album and give it a name

This seems to remember the conditions reversed and the tag.

    Good luck

  • Smart album in the new Photo app

    Hello!

Could you please advice how to create a smart album and move all my photos if they have never been sorted in other albums? In this way, I'm trying to remove my trash photos.

To create the use of the smart album

    "File > new Smart album.

Then set the constraint so that the album "Album is not everything.

  • Smart album with face East/includes returns no results

    System specifications:

2012, mac Mini, 16 GB RAM, Core i7, El Capitan, Photos v1.3

I recently tried to create a new Smart Album with the following rules:

    Face is (OR includes)

The date is in the range of 01/01/2015 to 31/12/2015

Even though I KNOW there should be results, Photos Returns none. If I remove the filter from the Face, I get all the pictures of 2015, as you would expect.

I have a Smart Album that is put in place as this for each year - previous have been imported into iPhoto, which was able to handle this without problems. When I tried to open these, all the pictures inside of them were no longer part of the album. They were always in my library, but were no longer in the Smart Album.

If I try to create a Smart Album with face IS NOT and a range of dates, I get all the pictures of the year DO NOT include the person. Therefore, it seems that only try to INCLUDE faces is broken.

I read a thread where someone had a similar problem and it has been suggested - apparently with some success - the filter of the Face has been changed to a text. I tried this and still have nothing.

Is it a known issue on the Photos, is there a solution?

The faces rule works on its own - a smart album with only 'face includes... '. » ?

For me, it's the Face or Face includes constraint works well in Photos 1.3.

  • Photos crashes during smart album

This afternoon, I wanted to make a new smart album, as I do almost every month, but now more precisely for the month of July, which started today...

Anyway, I have this folder structure: photos of the year & month/2016 / in which I wanted to create 201607 (juli) <-Dutch for July.

Creating smart album without problem, being within the range of the 07/01/2016 to 07/01/2016, and I tried to change the last 17 (1 July, the European notation) 317. Photos closes unexpectedly.

Reopened and retried: Photos once again crashes.

So I decided to repair the library first. Photos accidents and then retried.

I then booted from an external hard drive and did a lot of maintenance: DiskWarrior, DriveGenius, TechToolPro...

Restarted internal drive, launched Photos and tried again: pictures of accidents.

    I ultimately:

    -double smart album of last month;

-replaced by 201606 (juni) 201607 (juli) and settings from 6/1/2016-2016/06/30 to 07/01/2016 to 07/31/2016 and bingo: I now have the smart album, I wanted to.

So I solved my problem, but the question remains if this is a bug or not. I - of course - sent Apple crash reports.

What pictures happened there was a lot of accident reports for the smart albums with a rule of date range. He was depending on the location. The accidents that happened if the primary system language was not English, for example, the French or German.

Workaround was to replace the rule of the two separate rules date range date: Date is later to... And the date is before...

Your problem could also be caused by the problem of the language?

  • How to create two different smart albums with photos with the same date?

I created a smart album by using 'Date is' and ' keyword is EAA.»  (The photos have a keyword like "EAA" or "Flower".  Photos of keyword EAA & flower have the same date.)  When I use "Corresponding to all" are has no pictures in the album.  When I use "Match any" all the photos are in the album - EAA & flower.  I would like an album with only pictures of CEA for that date and another album with photos of flower with the same date.

I get the same answer.  I can get the date and to a key word to work with 'all' selected, but not date and keywords.  So you will need two smart albums: one with date and ECA ('all' selected) and the other with date and flowers ('all' selected).

Use the file menu option ➙ new Smart Album.

Report the problem to Apple via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html.

  • Smart album, creating criteria of dates wrong

Created smart album criteria evil in Danish local range - it uses silently JJ/MM/AAAA while displaying the DD/MM/YYYY.

In the Danish version of Photos, dates are displayed JJ/MM/AAAA (photos) which is correct. When you create a new smart album with a date range of, say, 12/01/2014 to 01/01/2015 I spend January 1, 2015, obviously erroneous, 12 January 2014.

Thus, the error is that dates are displayed correct for the locale, but the entrance to the date range in the creation of the smart album is in the order of US.

    How to fix this?

FYI: I am reposting this question who hails from 2015 because there is no immediate solution.

    Best

    Alexander

Try to use two separate rules:

    All the

    Date is later than

    and

    The date is before

    For the date range.

And send your feedback to Apple for repair - use this form: Feedback - Photos - Apple

  • The smart Albums based on the date range cause app Crash Photos

While I'm setting up a new Smart Album based on day of photos between 12/01/2015 and 31/12/2015 the Photos app closes with a crash. Cannot set the second date (the end date for this album). However, I can easily create a new Smart Album for next month (01/01/2016 and 01/31/2016). I create smart Albums, because the new Photos app does not like the old iPhoto does with my Photos from the photo gallery.

How can I solve this? I don't have an album of December...? !

You are in an area where the date format is different from the United States?  Earlier this year, we have seen small business issues have reported that rules for smart albums date range do not work with the primary language set to French or German.

Try to change the primary system language to English with an English date format. Photos could be trying to read the 12/31/2015 as the 12th day of the month 31.

Or use a different date based on 'before' rule and after.

  • Location of the smart Albums

There is no displayed smart albums. neither 'create new smart album' appears as an available option when I click the button Album. When I try to create a new album "past 6 months" (I know has been pre-created as a smart album in an earlier version of element) that this album is already a warning message appears, but I can't find any way to locate this smart album or create a new smart album? Anyone have any suggestions? Is my 11 newly downloaded items corrupted in some way, or are the smart albums just hidden and need to make it visible in some way?

Since PSE11, the "smart albums" feature, which was a horribly misleading word, was renamed "saved searches", which is exactly what they are, and this feature is available by clicking on the magnifying glass next to the search text box in the right side of the menu bar.

You create 'saved searches', which are also known as queries by users of the database, by creating a definition of research in the menu ' find / details (metadata). If you have updated your catalog from the previous version, you will find your previous smart albums as explained above.

  • Shockwave Flash 11.3 r300 will not be updated on the new Mac OSX 10.7.4

Please can you advise why this is happening and how I can fix the problem.
    Thank you very much

You have the latest version of Flash - there is nothing more you need to do. The problem is that there is a newer version of Flash, but it's for Windows only. If the plugin check page should just be looking at the version number. I'll fill a bug report and see if this can be fixed.
