Upgrade Windows 7 Ultimate - where is Microsoft Tinker?

I have licenses for 10 copies of Windows 7 and 1 copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.  I chose to put the ultimate on my desk, so my wife could use the Microsoft Tinker game, which I think she would appreciate.

It did not include.  Any word anywhere in the forums or sites of Windows 7 that I could see on the intention to register.

After you run Windows Vista Ultimate Edition on a single machine and find Tinker, the only thing to recommend Ultimate over other versions, the law to let her out of Win7 Ultimate stuns me.

When is this corrected?

Sorry MilneCat! But Windows Ultimate Extras is no longer part of Windows 7 or Windows 7 Ultimate edition.
You can't get Microsoft Tinker on Windows 7.

You will need to find a way to re - install Windows Vista using recovery discs or discs an OEM Windows Vista and then upgrade to Windows 7.

  • Windows 7 starter upgrade Windows 7 ultimate upgrade

I need to know something about what will happen if you upgrade Windows 7 to new version?

my old software of file will remain?

or they will be gone?  Help, please

The upgrade in version i.e. Starter to Home Premium/Professional/Ultimate must not remove any programs or files. This is because first of all it's unlocking the features that were already there, but disabled.

Having said that ANY task that involves significant changes to the operating system or disk must always be preceded by a complete system backup and copy your data files

  • Cannot upgrade Windows Vista Ultimate Edition after the HD upgrade

I have an ASUS computer which is about five years old and works fine. It runs only Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP1.
The HD has been giving signs which is failing. I bought a new HD and copied the old HD to the biggest news. Everything seems to work fine until I tried to run Windows Update. It does not allow me to update and gives the 8024A 000 error code every time I try to run it. I called ASUS for help and they said
    to contact me Microsoft.

    Thank you

    Harold

I found the solution to this problem. I went to another Windows help forum. It is to reset the Windows Update program. I tried the one here on the Microsoft site, and it did not work. But I tried this one http://wind8apps.com/windows-update-error-code-8024a000/ and the fist solution worked like a charm. He fixed the update and install issues with Powershell 2.0. After that and a certain number of updates, it's updated, Windows Update will update to the latest version. After this release he went and found many updates, I had to install. So be patient, you're in for a little wait.

    herbmah,
If you still experience this issue, then you should try the following.

Update your drivers for your video and audio.  Ensure that the manufacturer has Windows 7 drivers for your specific hardware.  You may also look for both motherboard chipset drivers.

If you still have problems after updating all your drivers, then clean restart your PC and test.

  • can use windows xp upgrade Windows 7 ultimate update

I bought an upgrade to ultimate from windows 7, but I see that I started at ultimate level for XP and I'm running 7 home version and he did not notice until what I had already opened the package and I can't take back. It will modernize the windows 7 I have?
    Thanks Robert

Yes, you can use to upgrade to Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 Home Basic or Home Premium.

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

  • WIndows 7 Ultimate Upgrade

    Hi guys,.

I have a question regarding the upgrade WIndows 7 Ultimate.

I recently bought the Toshiba NB200 / C01 that comes with Windows 7 Starter.

Someone of you have upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate edition? The heads-up on potential upgrade problems?

Also another question regarding memory | Don't the mini are accompanied by an extra slot to add another gig of memory, or is it only a single location?

    Bravo guys

Camera is one that does not work yet. Someone I think that said drivers XP will work with Windows 7. Can I try this.

There is only one location. You remove the 1 GB module and replace it with a 2 GB module. It's the first thing I did with mine once the package has been delivered. I never ran it with 1 GB, so I can't comment on the improvement.

  • Windows 7 Ultimate slowly degrading.

I've been running Windows 7 Ultimate (version by Microsoft Genuine Advantage: 6.1.7601.2.00010100.1.0.001) for more than a year.  About a month and a half, I noticed that some of my apps had been corrupted and some data has been deleted from the hard drive.   I started looking around and found out my McAfee Firewall apparently has over time evolved to the place where there were too many open ports on the system.  My fault.  I allowed the firewall disabled for too long.  Well, the McAfee software has been a week of its annual renewal of licenses.  I closed several unnecessary ports and Firewall started crashing my local applications when I would access the local network drives 'mapped '.  The error was something like: "program XYZ made an unusual request by attempting access to the network outside the rules of this place and had to be stopped.  If the problem persists, you may need to loosen the security options. »

So I have made exceptions to firewall for utility, problems, but could not solve the problem.  So I disabled the McAfee Firewall and turned on Windows Firewall.  I went on the McAfee site looking for more information to help me configure the software.  I learned about an option that shows all the historical activity of antivirus: blocked quaranteened files, network connections, updates downloaded, etc...  He showed zero activity.  Well, it was wrong, but I decided not to renew the license.  The anti-virus wouldn't uninstall.  I had to uninstall it in offline mode.

The Windows Help system no longer works, nor do the Services Management Console.  Have not been able to find a solution yet.  Also my restore points have been deleted and would not start my Seagate BlackArmor backup software.  The backup software is repaired and restore points are available again.

Three days ago I compressed my C: drive and the system now seems to be falling apart.

"Windows Update - view update history" shows no updates installed and displays the message: "You have not tried to install updates for your computer."

'Control Panel - programs - programs and features - updates installed' lists 261 updates installed.

And now I get the message that I do not run genuine Windows software.

This Windows 7 Ultimate has been activated for at least a year.

A "Windows Activation" box keeps popping up saying that the Windows 7 Ultimate product key you typed is invalid for activation. "But I have not typed any key.

I ran the 'Repair' disc and finds it no problem.  Windows Defender can't find anything.  Run the consistency check utility, I forgot his name.

    Suggestions?

First UNPACK the C drive. He was NEVER a good idea to compress any player. You need to stop errors when you properly reinstall the entire system.

Make sure that you back up things before leaving for the new facility.

I mean a clean install because you have too many OS corruptions.

After cleaning install get all Windows updates first and then install Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus solution. Forget you ever heard of McAfee.

In addition, install the free version of Malwarebytes, electing DO NOT check the trial version complete. You must run it manually, but do it only when you suspect a problem, or maybe every month as part of general maintenance.
