  If intern im thrown into cs3, simply because I know how to use photoshop and no one else does. Yay stuff only I know, this is what ive understood on my own using the videos help and lynda.com... so I need a lot of help

  THE PROBLEM: need to design a catalog for books

  1. the client must be able to enter something in a search box and come up with results by title, author, or partial title/author

  2. results should be the links to the individual book pages

  3. they must also be able to click on a box next to books in their results for 'add to order/basket/shelf/whatever we decide to call the order page.

  4. the page should be built as a model if the interns who follow my work and add content quickly and easily. the content must also be updated we publish and add new books to the catalog (im assuming it would be a recurring task in the region?)

  5. If you do not type anything in the search, they need power click on the links to organize books in alphabetical order, by title or author in a large list of giant

  My suggestion to you: do not reinvent the wheel.  There are many applications showcase that you can install that will do all this for you.  All you need to know at this point is the server model.

  What type of database? MySQL, ms sql, etc.

  What language aside server, you can use the server? PHP, asp, etc.

  Can not find the disk, can't find serial number. I need a step - by - step, apparently not technically savi.

  If you have registered your product with Adobe then you should be able to find the serial number through your Adobe account online.

• I have CS3 installed on my laptop.  I just got a new laptop.

  I want to take my suite CS3 out the old laptop and put it on the NEW one.  Is this going to be a problem when I try to delete off the coast of the old and put on the new, as CS3 is no longer supported?

  Make sure to turn on the old laptop before uninstalling (help > deactivate)

  But you don't need to uninstall until you are sure it works on the new. CS3 is old enough, and you may or may not encounter problems.

• CS3 Flash swf not visible on the Web page

  I'm working in Dreamweaver and Flash CS3. For some strange reason, swf Flash files are not displayed on my Web page. I never had this problem with MX2004.
  I downloaded the java script (new in CS3), but it still shows an empty area - the dimensions of swf - on the page. It has previewed fine locally, but not from the server.

• Return to Flash Professional 8 after Flash CS3

  I've tested the Flash CS3 and worked with a FLA document and it forced me to save in the new CS3 format. I didn't like the new Flash CS3 and returned and installed 8 Studio which includes Flash 8 Professional. Now I can't open the .fla file at all and it says: "unexpected file format", and it's a .fla file! Help, please. How can I cancel this works on my .fla files. Thank g-d only, I have done this with three files, but the three files are very important.

  You cannot reinstall the trial - it expires after 30 days and you will need to buy to
  continue to use it.
  You have never ti uninstall Flash 8 to record up to 8 Flash with CS3 - you can have multiple
  version of Flash installed on the same machine.

• problems with CS 3 and Cloud?

  new mac passed my subscription old mac

  then migrated my data to new mac CS3 worked fine, but Cloud applications have been made.

  At Adobe reinstall cloud and Apps now CS3 isn't working tells me to uninstall and reinstall have CS3 disks but no disk drive

• Problem update CS4 to CC

  I currently am running CS4 on my PC.  I recently bought an iMAC and want to update my CS4 to CC.  Because I have a a version newer than CS3 I can should receive a discount, however when I enter my serial number on the upgrade, I said I do not qualify for this discount!  Can anyone explain why?

  Maybe you bought your CS4 under some special promotion already or it is a S & T version or something like that. Contact support by phone or chat website. they can tell you what happens...

• Rounded corners using the rectangular selection tool

  Hello

  Being new Photosop CS3, I used the tool of rectangle Rect (RMT) and saw that my corners are rounded (round/nets) and the bottom of the box is mixed. Is there a way to reset the RMT while I have square corners and no mixing. Also, in time, I would like to have my RMT do so, how can I have rounded corners. (Of course, I did something)

  In the Options bar at the top, set the feather to zero.

  You can always add feathers to the time where you want.

  Or use the form if you want more control. Draw a path with it and convert the path to a selection.

• How to disable the "hint" cursor?

  Is it possible to disable this little 'trick' (I don't know what to call it) which apperas insite cursor when Im using for example Clone Stamp Tool or Healing Brush tool? I mean inside the cursor appars that you are healing or stamping. It was new in CS3. In CS2, it is that thing.

  It really bothers me. Can I disable this function?

  Do you mean the Clone Overlaytool? It was not in CS3, it happened with CS4. You can disable it in the Panel Source of duplication .

• create the towers in rectangle ellipse mask... aaarrrrggghhh

  I'm new to CS3 and I am doing fine with Flash.  However, my recent meeting with Illustrator (13.0.2) is irritating to say the least.

  Simple task:

  (1) I start Illustrator, choose 'New' and set the size of 175 by 175 pix pix

  (2) in the layer window, I create two sublayers (2 and 3)

  (3) I drag my jpg (157 x 157) image in the background layer (2)

  (4) I hide layer 2 and layer 3 (that exceeds the 2 underlayment in the layer window) can create a rectangle (90 x 120).

  (5) I have "effect-> convert-> ellipse shape ' my rectangle with the pix 0 related for the two dimensions." I see my ellipse. WOW!

  (6) I "fix-> bring forward" the ellipse.

  (7) I view underlay 2

  (7) in the layer window, I click on layer 1, and then click Create/cancel clipping mask.

  VOILA, my mask works, but it is the rectangle. WHERE IS MY ELLIPSE?

  I search the web and wasted four hours trying solutions and advice.  Still no mask elliptical, rectangular only.

  How it became SO difficult?

  Expand the appearance of the effect for the converted Rectangle as the original form has not been changed it is always a rectangle.

  If you select the ellipse, you will see the selected rectangle, not a choice of form of an ellipse.

  If you want a true ellipse then use the ellipse tool if you want to enter the digital dimension just takes the ellipse tool and click on the canvas and ellipse dialog box appears, enter the dimensions click Ok and Voila and ellipse of this dimension.

  Now make your mask.

  If you are already happy with the ellipse you have as I wrote extend the appearance of one you have or use that I would come out the mask first and then develop more redo the mask.

  The ellipse tool is the tool of Marquis.

• How to tag images locked position

  In Indesign CS 3 and CS 4, when a picture was locked, position I couldn't use the service tag on the image Frame.

  Could not change the position of the element in the structure the locked position images window...

  Was this something new in CS3 and CS4? How disable/overcome this restriction?

  It is not clear from your posts, it is a question of script, but I will respond as if it was. Review the Scripting Guide MarkingUpGraphics.jsx script. We can show your problem by making a few changes to the script. Find the line (in the function of mySnippet):

  var myGraphic = myDocument.pages.item (0).pageItems.item (0).graphics.item (0);

  Now add this line following the line above:

  myGraphic.parent.locked = true;

  Run the script, and you'll see the error message indicates that InDesign cannot mark the chart because it is locked.

  Now, add the following lines below the threshold of what we just added:

  var myRestoreLock = false;

  if(myGraphic.parent.Locked == true) {}
  myGraphic.parent.locked = false;
  myRestoreLock = true;
  }

  Then, find the line:

  var myXMLElement = myDocument.xmlElements.item (0).xmlElements.add (myXMLTag, myGraphic);

  .. .and add the following lines below:

  if(myRestoreLock == true) {}
  myGraphic.parent.locked = true;
  }

  Run the script again. You will see that the script unlocks the graph (or its parent rectangle, really). The script will not change the location of the chart.

• Setting AutoFormat breaks the code, it's in CS4

  I found a reference to the automatic formatting of CS3 Flash break code AS3 on Jacques in May 2007 but was surprised to discover that it breaks yet code by removing the parentheses.

  Of course, the results are catastrophic. Would someone like to check to see if CS4 Flash auto-format always causes the same error when editing .as files? May be worth the price of an upgrade if it NOT to spoil the format.
  
  The original code was: truescale = Math.pow (8,-(i-1) * scaleit) to reflect the real logic of the statement, but has now been rewritten to: truescale = Math.pow (8, scaleit - i * scaleit) that works, but does not reflect the intention of mathematics either.
  
  BTW: I think that others have probably run on this problem and that the subject would surely include the words "AutoFormat" but my search revealed nothing appropriate to this issue. I find this slightly disconcerting. Please do not hesitate to put my expectations.

  Interesting. For what it's worth, I just pasted this exact line of code
  in a pair of new Flash CS3 AS3 and AS2 - documents - and ran the
  autoformatter. In no case the Flash has removed parentheses. I tried
  the same in Flash CS4 and the results are the same: the original
  parenthesis structure remains unchanged.
