• New update knocked out my java from sun on vista.

  After logon has noticed a new update was available for my Vista, downloaded and it disabled my sun java. No website would not display same MSN. I went to the control panel and deleted the new update, rebooted the pc and now works fine. It took a long time to figure out how to get sun java installed on vista and it finally got on this pc. Please correct. I know that all of the updates are very important for all computers, but I really need to use my java.

  As you know that all updates that are released by Microsoft are important for your computer I suggest you to download and install the update.

  If you meet him same problem of Java does not I suggest you uninstall Java completely from your computer by using the Windows Cleanup utility and download and install the latest version of Java from the link provided.

• 6.9.10 update wiped out my programs

  My laptop updated last night with 15 updates, then automatically turns off.  When I turned it on this morning, it was as if it was a brand new computer.  All my downloaded programs have disappeared, including Office 2007, Blackberry Manager, etc., etc.  All my backup files are left in the same way.

  Click Start > computer > open your hard drive where Windows 7 is installed, and then Program Files to see if your applications are always there. Naviguer navigate in C:\Program Files to find the program (.exe), right click, select copy, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start start\program, right-click on an empty area in the window and choose Paste shortcut. This will give you the shortcut from the Start Menu (all program back).

  The last update of Windows that just happened on the 9th took all my original settings. My computer restarted and looked as if it was fresh from the factory. My files, folders, shortcuts, etc., all have disappeared.   I have no information on the next update. But I've been awhile! In a few years, Adobe has released important updates to all their tools to video shortly after the NAB Show. Which usually takes place in in April. Based on this story, I would be surprised if there wasn't an update towards the end of April / beginning of May. But then, I thought it was surprising that we got an update at the end of January this year also, so maybe don't listen to me on this subject.

• Wiped out Firefox my homepage update which was a custom configuration for a site that I can't come back. Why what happened?

  A Firefox update yesterday, November 22, 2016, wiped out my home page setting. The home page was a complex URL with some custom settings for a site. Why this get wiped out in the update and where can I find this setting to restore? This is unacceptable behavior for an update!

  Your Firefox perform a refresh during the update? If so, you should find your old profile folder (settings) on your desktop in a folder called old data from Firefox.

  If you find that the file prefs.js will have your old home page setting.

  Don't double-click a .js file, because Windows will be executed as a system script. Instead, right click > edit the file to open it in Notepad or right click > open with choose a different text editor. Then find the line starting with:

  user_pref ("browser.startup.homepage"

  and who should have the setting you need (do not include the beginning and end "when you copy / paste to the Options of Firefox page").

  It is possible to retrieve the data from the old profile, but be careful not to copy the files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

  Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

  It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

  I just ran the new update on my phone and have now realized that I have more option to reach my unlock screen by simply sliding the screen, I read, of all the comments and forums, the only solution autour is a violation of my privacy Apple now gives only the option to unlock to put your fingerprints for the many people who have not opted to provide to date, it is because they choose not to and Apple, that in fact the only way is enfuriating, I would like to know if there is another option to share forcing me to put my finger print to access just my unlock screen and otherwise when Apple will come out with the correction of this error.

  You can press the home button to access the unlock screen. If you have registered a fingerprint in the enclave secure on the device (it not going anywhere else), then you can use it to unlock the phone, but otherwise you will be asked for the access code of your device.   I downloaded the new update IOS this morning - everything went well.

  Since then when I receive SMS, or email, or when I try to watch videos - no sound.

  I checked all the settings and they seem to be the same as before.

  When someone calls me, the phone rings as usual, but when I answer, no sound can be heard.

  Ring tone settings, the same thing happens again when I test - no sound, yet its on the ringtone.

The only way I can download the new update is so go to IE, then to the Firefox Web site to download. There is no need to completely disable this access.
