New Windows 7, when it is plugged in, battery does not charge.

I just downloaded Windows 7 Professional for my laptop, Acer Aspire 5535, and when I plug it in, it is said that it is plugged in, does not support.  It is stuck at 96% and go any higher.

I rebooted, it disconnected, let him go down to 1% and hip again, and it will not load.

Thank you!

The following has worked for me.  I installed a new spare battery less than a week ago.  today I received the message "plugged in, not charging" which is generated by the Microsoft software, called 'Battery method control compatible ACPI Microsoft.'  I disabled this software and the battery started to load.  I have powered down, removed and re-installed just battery to make sure it was properly installed, rebooted and activated the software 'Compatible Microsoft ACPI Control method battery'.  everything seems to be back to normal.

    Hello hp Support Forums.

Laptop model: HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x 64
    CPU: Intel (r) Core i5 - 3210M @ 2.50 GHz (4 processors)

    HARD drive: 750 GB SAMSUNG Spinpoint M8 ST750LM022 HN-M750MBB

I own a laptop PC hp Pavilion dv4 laptop and this morning there was a sudden battery problem, I was playing Dota 2 and the Steam interface told me that the battery percentage was 12% (7 minutes from the end) then I moved and grabbed the chager, plugged into the outlet and plugged the charger in laptop a few seconds later the laptop turns off suddenly and won't restart, even if the charger is plugged there no light came from the load indicator.

A few minutes later do research for similar problems, there was a solution to remove the battery and the charger then press and hold power for 30 seconds and 3-5 minutes then return the battery but it did nothing.

After with some research, the indicator load on all of a sudden and when I start the laptop it was on 12 percent and billed not (there is no indicator that the charger is plugged) and turns off suddenly without warning.

Later, with a bit of panic and thought, I removed the battery and the charge light lit, which allows me to boot up the laptop and when Windows starts, I plugged it to the battery and it says: 19% (plugged in, load) so I track for a bit, but it didn't move at all, even when I changed the power of High Performance for HP recommended settings , window 19% available (plugged in, load) but it's just, it, don't move or anything like that.

EDIT: When I unplugged the charger to move my computer laptop and plugged in again, the indicator not lit and does not charge the battery thus forcing me to shut down or Hibernate, and remove the battery to the charge light.

Your battery is quite likely to be having no longer life left.

It is that if your laptop starts up without the battery, since the race, the battery test is not a viable option.

  • Satellite A300-1BZ - new battery does not charge

    Hello

I bought a new battery (PA3534U-1BRS) because my old battery (3 years) hold office as well as it should!
The new battery will not charge, the Red battery light suggesting everything of fine, but then begins to Flash after 20 minutes.
When I turn on the computer the battery indicator on the taskbar in Vista tells me the device is turned on, but the battery won't charge.

The company where I bought the battery has issued me with a replacement, but I'll always have the same problem.
They have listed the battery as a genuine, and there any labelling even as my old battery.

The battery would be false or toshiba has changed the specifications of this battery in particular.
The reason for my last statement is the fact that my old battery contacts look more apparent than those on the new.

I have no reason to believe that the company is not kosher because I returned the first battery to address personally after realizing that they were on my doorstep!
    Fake or not compatible?

    The comments appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Maybe you used the battery is not compatible, but AFAIK the PA3534U-1BRS is designed for Satellite A200 A300 L300 L300D
    So it should work.

However, I recommend buying a battery of origin of Toshiba ASP.

Contact a local Toshiba authorized service partner and order a new compatible battery for this laptop.

I think the new battery should work.

  • Battery does not charge even when it is plugged

    Hey world-

I currently have a Dell Laptop Inspiron 1525 I bought in April 2008. A few weeks ago, I noticed that my battery has not been reloaded, even when it's plugged in, and I confirmed it by clicking on the icon the battery and reading, "plugged in, not charging.» Because my battery is over a year old, I advanced and bought a new battery AND a new laptop computer charger, just in case where it's the two that were dead/defective.

However, the issue has not changed: battery still says: "plugged in, not charging.»

I checked with different points of sale, I changed my savings 'power' on my computer and I looked over my ports - everything is in working order.

How can I get this problem resolved?

    Hello

    Is worn or old battery?

Check with Dell Support, their drivers and documentation online and ask in the Dell forums

Here are some tips to help and troubleshoot battery issues.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil

Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

  • My battery does not charge even when it is plugged and my orange light blinks when it is plugged.

My cord broke first, then I got the exact cord to fit my computer. Them I got 75% battery charge, but even when it is plugged in the light to connect it to the computer itself has never been white once again, it flashes orange. Now, I'm down to 2% and I tried to load it. It will not be loaded. I tried to take the battery out and just have it is plugged in, but still it flashes orange. Not white as before. What could be wrong?

The battery? Batteries will you know. Tried to contact the Office of support for your laptop brand?

  • Bought a new dell battery and still my laptop battery does not charge.

    Hello.

I am using a Dell inspiron 1545 for about 3 years now and exactly after 2 years of my purchase, the battery has failed and it began to show me to replace the battery and always informed to contact me dell for a new battery.

I took this to a lot of trouble, so I simply ignored the message and kept using my battery with my wired adapter. After 4-5 months of such uses, my battery has completely failed and does not give me even even a minute of backup, when I remove the power outlet. Then I realized the importance of a new battery and then bought a new battery from Dell.

Its the same battery with the same features and also the same type family. After that I removed my faulty battery, I replaced my purchased new Dell battery and realized that my battery works fine. his load well, but at one point, it says "plugged in, but do not load" which is rare for a new battery, that is purchased new.

This is what it looks like now once I removed the plug adapter and when I depend on the backup battery. It provides a backup, but I see a Mark exclamatory yellow next to her. Which I think should not be present. He also says "Low battery" when there are already some 99% battery left!

I also followed a few steps online

    (1) update the BIOS for the last 2) followed by a few other steps such as uninstall the ACI battery in Device Manager and etc...

I'd like to get this problem is solved. I use an adapter family PA-12, which is also replaced. So any help on resolving the issue would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Hey maxim. I have actually FIXED this month back, problem. and I want exactly help on it so that you can fix it yourself too...

the problem that is the creation of your battery to display an exclamatory mark is your power settings.

then follow these steps to get rid of this sign and a battery to work perfectly.

    1) click the icon of your battery (left click), you should see an option called "Power Options more' at the bottom of the pop-up window.

    Click on 'more power Options.

    (2) now, you will be taken to your control panel where you can see all of your power plans and under each plan, you will see an option called "Change plan settings"

    3) click on "Change plan settings" for your active power plan. Now you will be redirected to another window of Control Panel, where you can see two types of power options to get adjusted. in other words, when you battery is connected and when your battery is disconnected.

    (4) do not touch these options, simply click on 'Change power avancΘs' at the bottom left of this window. THIS IS THE AREA WHERE WE HAVE TO FIX!

    (5) after that you click "Change advanced power settings", you will see a POWER options window, go down and then you can see what is called "Stack" with a sign to the left. until it clicks.

    (6) now, you just change the levels for the following values

--> Critical battery level (you can change it to 10%)

---> Low battery (you can change it at 20%)

Now once who did, YOU will BE No. LONGER SEE THE EXCLAMATIVE MARK on YOUR STACK!

    So I hope it works!

Answer me when you've managed to fix.

  • Satellite M45-S165 new battery does not charge from 25%

    Hello

It is of a Satellite M45-S165 running Windows XP SP2.

I just put in a new battery of Technuity sold at Circuit City. Followed the instructions and let it charge for 10 hours before you use it. The laptop turned off while charging.

On the laptop Toshiba Power Saver says that the battery has been charged only 25%. He just won't let it load more than that.

I close GST since the the Task Manager and open the gauge on the control panel Windows. After you run just the battery for a while I tried to recharge it. But the windows power meter is showing that the battery is charging, but who is stuck at 3%.

The battery is new, so no idea on what it prevents to load completely?

    Thank you.

    Hello

At first, I must say that you've done everything right and this is probably not due to the battery (I hope you bought the right one). The question is are at - there some problem with electronic control gear.

You must understand that it is not easy to simply explain to these issues and to see what the problem is here, it is necessary to run the diagnostics program and check the electronic feature of the power supply.

This can be done by only authorized service provider. If you do need to make the decision. Make a call and ask them what can be the reason for this. Inform you of what you can do with it. What else can you do?

  • Recommended for battery does not charge if plugged in charger and the system is activated in map mode.

Anyones answer is welcome to the 21/08/11.

Thanks to one that meets responsibly!

    Hi Raymond,

    Possibilities:

    1. bad adapter.  Check the status in the BIOS.  That's what it was when this happened to me about 4 months ago.  The battery even though the battery was fine and worked fine llaptop off voltage AC, BIOS did not recognize it as the appropriate adapter type and therefore not allow.

    2. bad battery.  They go bad--and sometimes a little quickly (as you will notice that if you have an extended warranty on the laptop, it does not include the battery).  Check the status in the BIOS.  Remove the battery, use the air to empty the room and a soft cloth to wipe the contacts.  Reinsert the battery and see if that helps.

3 motherboard problem with connectors or wiring between them.  Very hard to tell her that's it--usually replaced if replacing the other two does not work.

It is unlikely to be software-related.  This reeks of hardware problem.  Contact the manufacturer's technical assistance service and see if they have any suggestions on how to better ID the cause (and get costs for spares for each of the elements so that you know).

I have listed them in my view of probability.  You of that or the other need to find someone with the same computer you that can let you borrow the battery and the adapter long enough to test (then you will probably be able to IDENTIFY the problem).  Or you can buy the pieces one at a time and see which works (I hope the first) - and try to get a guarantee of full refund for any reason, so you don't spend money on parts, that you don't need.  You must send it to the manufacturer for repair or take it to a local computer repair shop good reputation for service.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

PS Si the adapter is plugged into a surge protector, try a different surge protector, or plug it directly into the wall to rule out a defective surge protector.
