MPEG4 and H.264

I'm trying to convert a HD 1920 x 1080 video in the h.264 format. When I use share and use the 'Apple camera 1080 p' it gives me the possibility to H.264. After compression, it's a MPEG.4. What is the difference, if any. I am trying to add the file to a USB Flash drive for customer can play on a laptop or PC Mac pr. Basically a "generic" playable on PC and Mac file.

Thanks for the help.

For broader compatibility, I suggest that instead of Apple devices you choose a master file and in the settings dialog, choose the computer for the Format.

Here Is a brief, but sums up the Apple format.

Good luck.

Presentation at the start of the side remote, only main video appears on the endpoint Edge95 MXP (except H.263 is used for presentation)

  • Only "h.264" and "MSE and h.264" are disabled in the html5 player support youtube video.

I spotted this problem just after I installed Windows 10 and still have not been able to understand why. I did some research on google, but none of them was the case for firefox 39 (and 40.0 because I've just updated!) and Windows 10.

What I think is that Firefox has an open H.264 codec built-in so I have need additional facilities or tweaks to enable h.264 support during the recent generation. However, even though I clearly see the codec installed in the plugin list, it seems that something is missing in my Firefox accroding to the support page.

I already tried to clean reinstall it and even checked on the mode safe but had no luck so far. I wish I could get help or advice. Thanks in advance!

In fact... Firefox needs the Windows Media Foundation to decode H.264.

First of all, let's see if there is a problem with YouTube only: you can play H.264 video on this test page: http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/tests/video.html

  • Records MPEG4 and Media Center Extenders

Comcast told me hat they will use MPEG4 for HD channels.  I use an InfintiTV tuner and checked with them to see if there are problems there.  The response below indicates the only question of the reason could be to try to watch shows recorded on the extensions.  That is the case, and if so, are there patches?  In addition, it seems that I need to understand my Media Center/Codex if / MPEG4 compatible graphics card - how to makes?

    Hi Rick,

You should be fine. The InfiniTV isn't a video device, so it will decode ever any video, nor does care what is in the flow of the cable company its passage all Windows. However, Media Center/Codex / graphics card must support all MPEG4. Media Center supports MPEG4; but can't stand does not send protected content MPEG4 for MC Extenders. There are some little quirks like this arise, Microsoft may or may not trouble and/or add support in situations like this.

I want to tell you that as with reason informed by Infiniti TV Media center supports mpeg4, however we do not support the protected content. For compatibility with graphics cards, you need to contact the manufacturer and Codex I suggest you use your favorite search engine.

  • JMF, alternatives and H.264

I need to create an application that records the audio and video from the webcam and transformations in this video using the latest codecs and formats. The development platform should be Java EE 5. The API standard because it comes to JMF, but unfortunately its development was stopped long before and so I don't know if he's using now is the best choice. I would like to know if there is no alternatives better standard for dealing with the media in Java and Oracle platform to the requirements, that I mentioned at the beginning.
I tried Xuggle framework but unfortunately it is the recording of webcam support is very limited. What I do currently performs a raw to AVI recording using JMF and convert then to MPEG-4 (H.264) using Xuggle. Unfortunately, this solution does not work very well because the Raw AVI consuming too much disk space, a few minutes takes gigabytes. The best choice would be to do the JMF to use the H.264 codec rather than it is by default, the recording would be alreadly in the right format. I could not find a solution to add a Codec that encodes to the H.264 format, only decoders... so any help will be well appretiated.
    Thank you!

This is the example of how to create a custom codec, techincally. Is a codec that decodes simply PCM to PCM_RTP, but the code structure is there.

Essentially, a codec not something more than a function of process, where your job is to take the input stream, transcode it and then write to the output buffer. Before being called the first time, setInputFormat / setOutputFormat must be called to specify the transcoding settings.

After you have coded, you should just register your codec with JMF then he know where / what it does. (PlugInManager.addPlugIn in the AVCustomTrans.java logic)

  • Stor.e TV + - playing .mkv files have sound but no picture

I just transferred all my .mkv files on my store TV + but most of them have sound but no picture? They play fine on my PC...

Also, in any case to change the icon of the folder on the actual dvd cover on the store TV +? Sick to see the yellow folders!

    Thank you...

    Hello
Find the StorE TV + specifications on this page from Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/EU/store-external-hard-drives/TV-plus/

The Store TV + supports video formats: MPEG1 (DAT, MPG), MPEG2 (VOB, MPG, TS/M2TS/TP TRP), MPEG4 (AVI, MP4, MKV), VC-1 (WMV), H.264 (AVI, MKV, MOV, MP4), RM/RMVB (RM/RMVB)

MKV files are supported by the MPEG4 and H.264 video format.
Files are saved in these formats?
How about you play other i.e. MPG or AVI files?

In addition, I would recommend checking the connection to the TV.
Here is a user manual that I found on the page of Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/global/manuals/store/manuals/STORE_TVplus_User_Manual.PDF

It shows you how to connect the Store TV + correctly.

  • Premiere Pro CC - impossible to H.264 encoding & its used to load as inaudible feedback sounds, and now he is not good at all

Holy damn, I'm stressed. So I launched a channel on YouTube and I had to get a video out about a week ago. I have a new laptop on the 4th (Lenovo y510p) and transferred to this laptop to a Macbook Pro. On my Macbook, I had absolutely no problem making and editing videos using Quicktime Player and Final Cut Pro X, but now that I have a Windows computer I have no idea how I'm supposed to run lots of those things. Let's get into the details:

I bought Bandicam, started to record, had a really good clip that I was going to use for the video, and then I'm going to change (the clip is .avi and H.264 btw). So I'm going to drag and drop it in first and it cannot load in because it's a file unsupported or damaged. Turns, I can't load this file into ANY software. I tried to install the drivers for H.264, but I don't know if I installed it right or it did not.

    This is my first problem.

The second problem is that when I worked my way around H.264 encoding (and recorded in MPEG-1), he loaded in the first, but he played the Larsen effect where my voice would go. I spent an hour or two, try to fix it and looking upward in order to do it, but no luck. Finally, this is just no sound. Nothing at all.

If you guys can help me, it would be fantastic. Thank you!

I use Bandicam for screenshot and when I imported into first the audio should sound like noise. I was able to solve the problem of audio by changing the audio codec bandicam uses.

Open bandicam and go to the video tab and then in the format section, choose settings and under audio change the codec on pcm.

    I hope this helps.

  • CS6 h.264 for the presentation of the Festival

    Hi all

I have been exporting a film festival contest. Instructions gave out are the settings for 1920 or 1280.

    MPEG4 or h.264.

When I exported a 5 minute film in Mpeg4 to 1280, I got a 13 GB file on my hands! A lot of big. Was beautiful! 16 bit depth

When I exported a h.264 my options for h.264 that I have choice of codec for Android on Vimeo and everything in between.

The average file was about 220 MB, which is what I'm used, like most I do is for the web Youtube, using the option of Adobe of a Youtube option on the drop down.

    That being said:

What should I use (drop dn option) which will not pixelated and blown out for future submission and what size my folder is avg? (5 min to 24 FPS 1280 runs not great graphics to a few transitions, title, credits, and others.)

IT IS NOT necessary to STC. I know cloud I'm on CS6, old style stuff.

    Thank you

    SF

    Well, I've got you now.

the reissue of 1080 links, don't mind that.

It is not an option for your case, since you went voluntarily to 720 p to crop and pan.

    you just here.

How it also depends on the task of scaling up to the machine not projecting.

You can count on a good result, don't worry.

Depending on the camera, you've shot with, your source material can be between 20 and 100 Mbit

in order to have an unreasonably high output which doesn't make much sense in your case...

especially since you came out at 720 p.

    So you should be fine.

You can also produce a QuickTime using the QuickTime container preset and use h.264 codec.

Get the nitrate to 90 and then compare to your h.264 mp4 and look for yourself what looks like how.

In all cases, do not through intermediate and re-re-encode output.

directly from the final chronology of exit (directly or through TEA) is the path.

  • When I add my dLink surveillance camera media, files avi land always in the place of the consumer audio video area. Why and how can I get them to land as Visual?

I'm trying to change some of the footage taken by our camera dLink bit when we're not home, but when I import .avi files, it will always just for audio (from first 11 elements), and nothing shows that the video. What I am doing wrong? Be aware, I am completely new to this program, because I bought to play with my camera dLink home videos and have not been able to do one thing with them as of yet due to how they import. I did 'get media' my camera Bloggie to see if it worked and he met as a video and audio only, so I do not know why the other does not.

    loriflori

    Thanks for the replies.

Just to start my day and am very happy that you found your own answer by going in a different format for your camera.

You recorded video compression AVCHD (MPEG4 AVC/h.264) equipped with a .avi cape. That AVCHD.avi is not compatible

with Premiere Elements. Many previous reports on this situation.

There is opportunity for you to make an AVCHD.mp4, instead of AVCHD.avi, in the camera settings? It should work with your MPEG4.mp4.

When you go to read this MPEG4.mp4 (with the logo instead of the first frame of the video), you get a read full video and

audio. If so, what is the current defined for the file is opened with. Change that can change the thumbnail representation of the hard drive. But let's see if

There is a set of AVCHD.mp4 for recording of the camera.

    Looking forward to your results.

    Thank you.

  • Video quality has dropped and Audio Out of sync (EPA 12)

Edited a video of 30 minutes and took a few clips of him. After the project and saving it, I noticed a severe drop in video quality and despite to realign the tracks audio/video, audio installs always out of sync. Original video clip plays fine and I would just download those, but there are too many dead zones and some splicing that needs to be addressed. At first I cut sections of video caused the problem, but the video before editing it produced out of sync titles as well. on a 30 minute video, audio Animes before nearly 10 seconds.

    EPA 12 Windows 8.1.

Video camera: Replay 720XD (manual specifies EPA or Quicktime [Pro] Edition)

    Video information by gspot: 29.412 FPS; Resolution 1280 x 720; Audio codec: MP4a:Mpeg - 4 AAC LC video: avc1 H.264/MPEG-4 AVC

    QuickTime is also updated.

I was see several other discussions on this topic with different answers, which makes me think that every problem is something different. Also, there are not too many threads with solutions. Also concerned by the fact that this problem seems to go as far as 10 EPA.

    BadWolfRacing

I see no mention of rate constant or variable in the documents of the camera (only 30/60 NTSC or PAL 25/50).

The only clue that I don't have that cadence is variable, it is as 29.412 frames per second that you give to your video.

I had advanced for the camera users section and can't find anything that goes with this question. If your camera records with a constant speed then you will see 29.97 or 30 and not 29.412.

We support the idea of constant compared to variable rate for your video by running the video via the properties of MediaInfo program playback. If your video has a variable rate, reading on will give a minimum, 'general' and maximum playback for cadence.

    http://sourceforge.NET/projects/MediaInfo/

Just be careful for carryons unwanted in the download of this program.

You seem to have 1280 x 720 @ 29,412 progressive frames per second (variable frequency), presenting as AVCHD.mov. And apparently you transfer the recording to the camera as the video compression AVCHD (MPEG4 AVC/H.264).mov, not a "MPEG" such as MPEG2 video compression...

Variable rate in first Elements = always no problem. I have the iPod video and iPhone 5 (with variable rate) and any import problems (audio out of sync or other), edition, exported from Premiere Elements set the correct project presets and work with content timeline made. There are some who have problems. For them, the answer is borrow the video in software to change the variable in a constant rate.
