Newspapers do not apply to Standby Database

I'm scared, I'm back.

I now a primary database and an expectation of database and logs are shipped but not applied. Did some research and I got to the point where in my alert log I find the following when I try to start MRP:

Therefore, my question is how can I get out of this and get my logs to apply pending?

Hello again;

Do you think if I tried to repeat the duplicate?

Yes I think you should do this.

Give me a few minutes and I'll review my Word document and provide here an overview step by step as insurance.

I always clean the day before before trying another dup

OVERVIEW

Step 1 - password file FRO sleep - the primary copy and rename
Step 2 - On the remote server Directory Structure - Make sure noting is missing
Step 3 - Oracle Net Setup - entered for the CLONE in your TNSNAMES file. ORA on both servers
Step 4 - Adding SID_LIST_LISTENER (guess named listener LISTENER)
Step 5 - located in listener.ora and sqlnet.ora both servers wait times
Step 6 - settings of the auxiliary Instance initialization file
Step 7 - Set SID of the auxiliary Instance
Step 8 - create a SPFILE to the new database using a file with the INIT parameters pfile
Step 9 - shutdown and startup nomount on new Spfile (auxiliary Instance)
Step 10 - Start RMAN and run the command DUPLICATE

SID_LIST_LISTENER example of mine

SID_LIST_LISTENER =
   (SID_LIST =
       (SID_DESC =
       (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
       (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2)
       (PROGRAM = extproc)
     )
       (SID_DESC =
       (global_dbname = CLONE.hostname)
       (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.2)
       (sid_name = CLONE)
   )
)

Avoid delays

Add these to both servers

To listener.ora
INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_ = 120

To sqlnet.ora
SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 120

Then stop and start the listener.

RMAN

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/rman target=sys/@primary auxiliary=sys/@standby

Connect should return something like this

connected to target database: RECOVER9 (DBID=3806912436)
connected to auxiliary database: CLONE (not mounted)

RMAN > current database of target duplicate for the eve of the database NOFILENAMECHECK.

INIT Extras

In order to avoid the ORA-09925 do of course the PFILE core_dump_dest value and audit_file_dest a file

    Hello

    I have met many threads associated with this topic, but could not help meet me at good question, raising a fee.
    I'm setting up physical DB ensures for the first time. It is in the same host. Although I worked a little on the day before but did not get a chance to create new. I used the cold backup RMAN to restore the backup of the primary database. The version of DB is 11.2.0.3(32bit) and I create on Windows 7. The problem is that newspapers are not applied side sleep although I can find no error in the alerts log. Previously file associated password error was coming, but I solved that one.

    For backup RMAN and duplicate below are the commands that I used.

    Then the restoration

    RMAN target sys/sys@PRIMARY auxiliary.

    Duplicate the database target for Eve dorecover;

    Now, it's showing a.
    On the side of the day before, I heard THAT RMAN creates it.

    Transport is not executed on primary, because you log_archive dest parameter is not correct.
    Your problem here:

    log_archive_dest_2 string SERVICE=PRIMARY NOAFFIRM ASYNC VALID_FOR=(ONLINE_LOGFILES,PRIMARY_ROLE) DB_UNIQUE_NAME=STANDBY

    You must change it to:

    alter system set log_archive_dest_2 ='SERVICE=STANDBY NOAFFIRM ASYNC VALID_FOR=(ONLINE_LOGFILES,PRIMARY_ROLE) DB_UNIQUE_NAME=STANDBY';
    alter system set log_archive_dest_state_2=ENABLE;
    alter system  switch logfile;

    Change the setting and paste here the results, please.

     select process from v$managed_standby where process like 'LNS%'; -- on primary
     select max(Sequence#) from v$archived_log; -- on both side

    Arrgh.  Windows media player has great potential but is so volatile.  I already reset the program and now I find I have to re - enter old info on the songs I copied analog.  the final problem is that it does not apply the information from the databases of media.  Looks like it's going to make the changes - but it doesn't.  Is there a way to reset the protocols for the application of media without resetting my together huge database.  hoping you can help.

    What type of file in your music files (MP3, WMA, WAV...)?

    To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

    Usually, also, had to stop the WMP network sharing Service before you rebuild the library. Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. If its status is started, double-click the service, and then click stop.

    I have reset logs on the primary database after incomplete recovery.

    coz it generates the same error.

    What is the solution?

    I just want to know that if I reset primary newspapers should I recreate the standby database recovery logs?

    not only you must create redologs Eve but must also create a new standby controlfile.

    Kind regards!

  • Archivelogs not transforing in standby mode

    Hello

    In dataguard parameter are configured in

    primary database to transfer the archivelogs as log_archive_dest_2 ='service = to_orcl

    and standby_file_management = auto and also created the directory structure.

    side database pending: standby_archive_dest = ' / u01/app/oracle/arch/orcl.

    Earphone works and also works in the tnsnames.

    But archivelogs transform not Eve elementary school.

    can you please let me know why it is like that.

    Thank you very much

    as this set of parameters.

    Two points must be considered in when it comes to Archives of newspapers are not shipped to standby mode:

    1. it should be:
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 = SERVICE = MARKTEST LGWR ASYNC
    VALID_FOR = (ONLINE_LOGFILES, PRIMARY_ROLE)

    2 are you able to conn sys/pwd@stby as sysdba, if yes, it means that there are no connectivity issues; If not, this is the reason that's why newspapers are not shipped to the backup site. It is due to number with password file or something with the name of the service. Just drop it and create a new/freshpassword with the same password for both primary and standby.

    3. check if your OS username part of the ORA_DBA group.

  • DataGuard - primary not applying not newspapers in standby mode

    Having a problem applying newspapers of the day before, apparently is not setup correctly. I'm sure I'm missing something simple here, but would like any encoding or help. Thanks in advance.

    Hello;

    Given your combination of errors I could watch this:

    Creation of archive Log fails with error ORA-16014, ORA-00312 [ID 1373314.1]

    Assuming you are using FRA I would check its location:

    SQL > show parameter db_recovery

    If I remember well by default DGMGRL takes destination archive as FRA.

    Use the commands below to each place to check if the parameters change.

    DGMGRL > see the database CDPMTSB logxptstatus;
    DGMGRL > see THE base of DATA CDPMTSB InconsistentProperties;
    DGMGRL > see the CDPMTSB InconsistentLogXptProps database;

    DGMGRL > see the database CDPMT logxptstatus;
    DGMGRL > see THE base of DATA CDPMT InconsistentProperties;

  • Archived not getting applied to the standby database.

    Hello

    I turned the parameter standby_file_management to manual and since I created 3 primary data file, but they are not applied to the standby database.
    I turned on the Auto setting and started the MRP process but still not able to apply archive.
    Version Oracle 10.2.0.5

    Please suggest,

    Hello

    Your problem is that the MRP standby automatically when a data file is added on the primary database. The reason would be that the parameter STANDBY_FILE_MANAGEMENT is set to MANUAL on the standby database.

    Please refer to this http://shivanandarao-oracle.com/2012/04/02/managed-recovery-process-mrp-terminates-on-standby-database-upon-adding-datafile-on-the-primary-database/

    It will be useful.

  • Manuel Standby Database not in harmony with the missing archivelogs

    Hello

    Operating system: Solaris
    DB: Oracle 11.2.0.1 EA
    Do not use RAC or ASM

    I have a Production database which is in archivelog mode and standby server DR.
    The two servers (Prod, standby) have the same structure and exact db name/version.

    We manually scp archive logs and recover them to a database of manual standby via the SQL Scripts "cron". (I.e. the value of automatic recovery on; restore database Eve ;))
    Recently, we got out of sync with our log files and were not applying on the eve. As part of the maintenance of the Prod, these log files have been removed and are no longer available.
    I tried several ways to 'rebuild' our database awaiting. I tried to prod Shutdown, backup all files db and scp sleep them, recreate standby controlfile and startup mount and recover the.
    Whenever I try to apply a new journal archive via recover Eve, here are the errors:

    When I check v$ log_history, new newspapers have not been implemented.
    I also tried the method 'Restore from incremental backup via YVERT' with the same results.

    Is there a way to re - create own forward and ensure that the chain of the newspaper which is now defective gets fixed or reset?
    Finally, I would get DataGuard here, but this isn't the case at the moment.
    Thanks for your suggestions.

    If you use the backup to cold to create the database pending, check whether you have followed these steps.

    1. Remove
    all the data files and the database pending controlfiles.

    2. create a new controlfile eve of production to standby by using the following command
    "change the database create controlfile as 'Location'"; "."

    3. move the controlfile back to the location of the server database of such relief as specified in the initialization parameter file.

    4. replace its appropriate place that was taken through cold backup all data files.

    5 startup nomount

    6 change the mounting base pending;

    7 restore database pending.
    CPS archives newspapers sequence which is posed by the database of the production.

    You can try these steps.

  • ORA-16086: standby database does not available? Help me

    Hi all
    I use logic ensures db,.
    my database is very well that there is an error: ORA-16086: does not log pending available files, standby database contain
    It's log_archive_dest_2 on the primary database: log_archive_dest_2 = "service = LGWR SYNC dgora SAY valid_for =(online_logfiles,primary_role) db_unique_name = dgora'"

    even then, oder data still are transported from primary eve db db and then applied on the eve of the database.
    I run the command: select group #, the journal of v status $; -> the result is normal.

    can someone help with this problem?

    I thank you,

    They are a bit like the pads to do it again.

    It will speed up to apply, rocking and tilting.

    Standby Redo Logs are similar to online redo logs and the difference between the two is that standby Redo Log is used to store restore data by progress coming from another (primary) database.

    Standby redo logs are used only when the database_role is in sleep mode, it is recommended to add in the primary also so that they can be used on the evolution of the role, however, in the normal course work standby redo logs will be used at all on the primary.

    Using groups of waiting for redo log depends on the rate of generation of redo, you can see only 2 newspapers roll forward pending use even if you have 4 groups of waiting for redo log, when the production of roll forward rate is lower.

    It is recommended to have a group of newspapers of recovery sleep when redo production rates are high and all of the current log roll forward pending use.

  • Standby database is down and redo logs is not transmitted

    Hi all

    I have a question about the primary recovery database logs transmition for the standby database.
    What happens if the transmition of redo logs was arrested for a period of time (1 month), if I want to re - build the database ensures what measures must be applied?
    The papers of recovery will be put on hold? and once the database pending is redo these logs will be sent again? or I have to rebuild my database Eve from scratch?

    Kind regards

    Hello;

    When I rebooted the month so I would change the parameter 'log_archive_dest_state_n' on the primary to postpone next it would stay like that.

    I would like to delete the database in waiting, and if the folder structure was not the same I correct it.

    When the month has increased I would use RMAN to duplicate a new sleep mode:

    http://www.Visi.com/~mseberg/duprman2.html

    And then I put "log_archive_dest_state_n" to Activate.

    Best regards

  • Logs archiving shipped and registered, but not applied in physical standby

    Our principal is node 3 RAC 11.2.0.1 on Redhat 5.2. Even for physical intelligence except that there is an instance. Applying recovery found the order Dec. 15. I checked and see that all archivedlogs are transported to the waiting and they are up-to-date in comapare the result of the query v$ archive_log primary and standby and comparing the physical files. I then tried to save the journal archived pending. I started the archivelog unapplied ealiese

    And I really sorry, I want to provide something more.

    '' Waiting, sone entries are with dest_id = 2, they are really initially generated from standby ''?

    Big question. I do not know. Checked: oracle note 241374.1 for details on dest_id without success.

    I think it's that dest_id indicates whether the destination is local or remote. If, if it is true that the answer is no.

    This makes sense since the database is read_only mode, why it would generate archive here?

    If you still have all the archive back to 12-15 then there is still hope.

    However, 12-15 is a long time ago. I consider at least rebuild the day before.

    241374.1 is worth a visit because it can provide additional information for the future.
