  We are trying to implement a new solution for one of our customers who have purchased a pair of devices 5596UP nexus.

  We have this topology attached in jpeg format. They want to use the pair of 5 k for LAN and WAN connectivity.

  Background

  Customer wants a VPC configuration between the pair of nexus 5 k beucase at some point they will want to buy modules FEX and VPC servers directly, in which case it will take the VPC (VPC VLAN L3 ends the 5 k using HSRP).

  Quesitons

  1. can I have the same vlan with SVI built on each link and go through the vlan the link peer in order to build IBGP and EBGP peers according to the diagram. Will this work?

  2. is it possible to build a bond of layer 3 of each link to remote device of PE and then configure other IVS on each link, allowing through the link peer? This configuration would work and traffic would pass through the link of peers for IBGP connectivity?

  3. where can I I directed by question 1 above and use a separate port channel (non - vpc) between the two Nexus 5 k trunk vlan everywhere?

  What is the best design around this kind of solution?

  The alternative is to have the layer switch 2 plug to two Nexus 5 k without port-channel and make tree covering to the loop. In this case I have to build another trunk between the 5 k or could simply allow to the vlan through the link Peer VPC.

  The 5ks have cards daughter layer-3 installed? The 5K support BGP, but the maximum amount of BGP routes, you can have is 8000.

  I have a Nexus 7 (2013) and I am unable to connect wireless to my PC Windows 7 Home Premium.  I can connect via a USB cable, but I really need to have a wifi connection.

• Nexus 9396 VPC with VMware ESXi 5.5 switch Standard

  We have just upgraded our central office switch in a Nexus 9396, which is linked to double UCS 6248 FI and also individually to some Dell R710 with dual 10 GB Ethernet card. When it connects to these stand-alone servers with a VPC etherchannel, the IP address of management rises and falls and some hosts can speak while others do not. If I leave a disabled port, it works fine. However, as soon as the two are enabled, connectivity breaks down. These ESXi servers are on a standard license, so distributed switches are out of the question. I have activate eval license and installation a vDS using the LACP improved and that works fine, it just doesn't work as an etherchannel standard with a standard virtual switch. The connectivity of the 6248 works also without any problems running in LACP. Here is the configuration:

  SW01 Nexus:

  Configuration of ESXi is a standard switch with "Route based on the IP hash" and the two active adapters. Am I missing something? This configuration is not supported? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

  What happens if you do not use Portchannel, only 2 10gig (1/5 on each switch)?

  I think that the on the ESX host using maps network HA and can use only a single link. Once an operation fails, it uses it.  I think, I remember because the same problem with ESX hosts a couple of years.

  You can test the redundancy with physical ports and Portchannels?

  Sorry to hear you are having problems, but there are 2 ways that you can print from that device.

  The first is simply send photos or documents to your e-mail address of printers by attaching them to a new message.

  All you have to do is put this configuration on all your 5ks nexus:

• 6248UP FI Cisco Nexus 5Ks connectivity

  Hi guys,.

  Can someone advise me please on how best to implement the following connections?

  I am trying to connect a pair of fabric of interconnection (6248UP with 32ports) to a pair of Nexus 5Ks (5548UP) with the 5Ks linking directly to the storage (CEG). It is a small deployment. The 5Ks will run full Services of fabric such as zoning configuration, etc. Either way, vPC will be running between FIs them and 5Ks ethernet only for traffic.

  My question is:

  1. what type of connection should I use between the 6248UP - FIs and the pair of 5Ks. should I configure say 2 ports on FIs them as Uplink FC ports and use an FC SFP (e.g. DS-SFP-FC8G-SW) for connections? In this way both the 5K and the FI will be clocked in-between native FC to 8G. What is the best practice?

  2. is it possible to operate the FI directly to the 5Ks FCoE and just running the native FC from the 5 K to the EMC storage?

  3. is there a doc from Cisco or a blog I can be pointed to which could contribute to the best practice for this scenario?

  The output of the show ntp peer-status seems correct and the * indicates at this time there is sync was from the 10.1.32.4 server.

  The Show ntp status command is for a different purpose. According to the command reference the 'indicates if Cisco Fabric Services (CFS) is enabled or disabled for the purposes of NTP and know if a fabric lock is in place, because a configuration is in progress'. NTP distribution is discussed in the Distribution of NTP CFS of the configuration guide.

  We have a nexus switch 9504 with SUP - A installed in it.

  IOS version: NX - OS 7.0.3 (I1) 2 and we have the intention of creating more VDC in it. But in one of the release notes, I read that Nexus 9 k doesn't support multiple vdc.

  Currently, Cisco Nexus 9000 Series switches do not support several committees. All resources switch are managed in the default VDC.

• BlackBerry Hub cannot open any contact...

  I get the error "the contact does not exist" when I click any contact in the Contacts application. On a Nexus 6 p with Android with a paid subscription of Hub 6.01 + and all installed applications...

  The only ones that I can open are those of the Favorites tab, but these even gives error even if I try to open them from the all Contacts tab or anywhere else.

  I gave all the permissions in the Contacts app, I tried to wipe data and cache, also tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, still the same problem.

  No idea how to solve this problem?

  Hi Ty,

  I found and fixed the problem.

  Looks like the Contacts Android app is the default application for contacts that caused a conflict that I guess. I went to the setting / applications and clicked the app Android Contacts, clicked on "Open by default" and then clicked on the button "default clear".

  I then opened the Contacts from BlackBerry and clicked on any contact and he asked me whether the app to use, I chose the BlackBerry Contacts one and clicked on "Always".

  Seems to work fine now.

• Resolution of emulator PRIV AVD

  I install the eimulator PRIV as described, but the resolution is terrible. It is 4xx by 8xx, you can see in the last screen shot on the tutorial page. I also try to change the resolution with the command line option, but nothing helped. I also edit the file in the folder skin PRIV layout, nothing. When I install up to a Nexus 6 p with the same resolution, I have no problem. This device are also highlighted with good resolution in the overview of the unit. I tried to copy this model with the skins PRIV :-(, nothing has changed.

  I have atteched a screenshot of the emulator...

  I wrote to the people who release the tutorial but without a repley to date.

  I am under Android Stuido under Fusion 8 with Ubuntu Linux and OS 10.11.1 15.10 and native. As I wrote, I have no problem with the resolution with a NEXUS 6 p or other devices with high resolution in my configuration. Therefore, it not the machine virtual.

  I get the following error during the installation of applications built with PhoneGap Build.

  CLI - 6.3.0 has never worked for me, but so far 6.2.0 and 6.1.0 is also produce this error. The same code base worked OK on Friday with cli.6.2.0.

  It's true. I used ADB/MP so that I could keep the data in the app on my device, but I think that if I had used normal Android on the device UI to uninstall completely, which would have also worked.

  My guess on what happened:

  (1) Phonegap Build behavior has changed, which allows to establish a kind of auto-increment version Android information in the final .apk and is no longer made. If the projects that do not explicitly set complete version information in their source code / configuration started building packages with versions that were the same as (or at least not one more large/more recent) than before.

  (2) 7.0 android displays the error messages that are inaccurate and misleading. The .apk is fine, really it is rejected due to the on-board version info.

• Provision of phone is the device used to access the site by default.

  I have built many sites using Muse, if I build a 'Phone' layout, transfer it with the layout "Desktop" or "Compressed", that the 'phone' comes back every time, little matter device used to access the site. So depending on the browser used, the size of the physical screen, the parameters of the screen (i.e. "Display scaling" setting) the orientation of the device (portrait or landscape) and the browser used, you can get the presentation of the Tablet, otherwise you might get the office layout.

• Communication-ESX VM host.

  I'm looking to optimise traffic between virtual machines on multiple ESX hosts and falling a little short to determine what method would work well:

  Currently the majority of my company connects via Terminal servers on a private MPLS network.  Terminal servers are hosted on two ESX servers.  The majority of our key applications is hosted on a server ESX 3 rd.

  My office is local to the server and executes most of the software directly from their PC.

  Headquarters Branch offices (entering on MPLS) vs. social vs. servers are all already split on several VLANS s to isolate traffic.

  What I am looking in / wondering is if it would be possible and beneficial to consider the addition of a new card NETWORK 2 ports on my ESX hosts map which is designed to handle traffic from a virtual machine on an ESX to a virtual machine to another virtual computer - and if it is possible to do so without changing the settings on the virtual machine themselves.  Specially set up routes in the ESX hosts, saying that all traffic destined for the specific IP / range GB on the other two NIC

  Is this possible? Will it work? and is there an advantage to do so?

  Connections are currently 1 GB to 1 GB switches and there are 2 NETWORK card for most of LAN traffic.  Although it seems we are saturating the network yet, at the same time go on these 2 NIC we have all the information from the TS to the user, as well as information from the TS on the Application Server.  Ultimately, I want to just isolate without having to change each of the virtual machine.

  To answer your question - in a standard vSwitch or even distributed vSwitch, you cannot route traffic on specific network cards.  Maybe in the Nexus 1000v, you can configure static routes by uplink, but that's just a guess.

  In vSphere (+ 4.x) when the virtual machines communicate with each other on the same host, even if on a different subnet, it never touches the wire.

  The only way to do what you ask without the Nexus (perhaps even with?) is to add another NIC to the guests in a VLAN separated and then on virtual machines to configure static routes so that they use only the second interface.
