NI-VISA (access permissions)

Hello

I have 5 systems running a version of labview software and all but 1 works properly.

one that is not is to have a memory leak.

It also has (NI-ViSA with no access authorization) icon in the lower right corner.

All the others did not.

I am very sure it has to do with NI-VISA, but I tried the upgrade of NI-VISA and who has not solved the problem.

Can someone guide me to solve this?

Thank you

    Hey Guanglei,.

It seems that you have not configured the permissions for the server OR VISA. In MAX, go to tools > NI VISA > VISA Options, and then select security under VISA server. Add a new authorization and do not forget to click on save:

Valid network addresses include letters (a - z, A - Z), numbers (0-9), hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.), but no spaces. Addresses IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) or their equivalent (ordinateur.domaine.com) DNS names are also valid addresses remotely. Other valid entries include "*" for all network addresses, "xxx.xxx.xxx. *" or "xxx.xxx. *" for subnets, and "* .com" or "*.» example.com"for domains.

    I hope this helps!

  • COMPUTER is not available. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Original title: cannot add homegroup printer

Cannot add printer homegroup.  I tried everything I can think of without success.  I have laptop which is part of my home group who can't create a link to a printer attached to another computer.  The search for the printer does nothing.  When I try to add manually, when I click on the computer that hosts the printer, I get the following:

"[Computer SCIENCE] is not available.  You might not have permission to use this network resource.  Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.  The specified network provider name is invalid.

The problem seems to exist in the computer on which I am trying to add the printer, not the host, as I was able to add another computer to the host without problem.
    Help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for the quick response.

I suggest to change firewall security settings, or disable the security software on the system and try to access the location.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • The access permissions to the NTFS file in "C:\windows" and "C:\Program files" are not secure

    Hey there
Had a minor shock after I discovered that the access permissions default to the "limited users" in "C:\Windows\" and "C:\Program files\" are raised by the image automatically XP - Pro installed on my Tecra A6.

Default access permissions to the NTFS file in "C:\windows" and "C:\Program files" for "A limited number of users" should not have permissions "File/writing data Creation" or "Creation of folders/adding data. This opens up for what is called dll redirection attacks (ref: http://blogs.msdn.com/aaron_margosis/)

When you install a Win XP a normal retail or OEM Windows XP cd these two folders are special protected by this measure (not allowing the permissions listed for limited users). Installation procedure of your image work it around (in established Microsoft) measure and open breaches in security.

Now I have to drop all these permissions and hope that all of the utilities of your work for limited users after that that, otherwise you get a very unhappy customer on your hands. ;)

    Hi Henrik

Thanks for the information. I have a common user of Toshiba and I have never heard of such attacks to redirect m .dll.
However, I think that if each user install antivirus software (nothing unusual at the time; everyone should use) and activate the Microsoft Windows updates and OS firewall should be safe.

    Greetings :D

PS: I read in this forum that sometimes some Toshiba applications as energy saving does not work under limited account.

What does this message mean? I get when I click on the icon to evaluate files on another of our computers. "You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network path was not found. »

  • Three computers networked fine then suddenly the error message «...» Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command. "

I had a network that worked very well with three 2 computers running Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Home Edition 1. Suddenly, the network has just stopped allowing certain communications giving the above error message (I have another thread address with XP to Vista computers). The main computer with XP Pro, I'll call A, the second computer with XP Pro, I'll call B and third with XP Home will be C. All computers can share files and printers then without any changes to the system that occurred the following:

A can access the documents and printers on B and C

B may NOT have access to documents or printers on one, but access to documents and printers on C

C cannot have access to the documents on one, but CAN access A printer and CAN access the documents and printers on B

When access is denied error message is displayed:
"\\A\My documents is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command. "(\\A\ being the computer that I am trying to access)

As I said access from all computers on this network was working fine a week ago and there has been absolutely no changes made to the network. I checked the following

    1. workgroup name on all computers are the same
    2. file and printer sharing are enabled for all computers.
    3. all computers may been from each computers just denied in some cases.

The firewall that runs on all three machines is AVG and there were no changes to the one last week, but I checked that sharing is allowed.

I even tried to run the Configuration Wizard from the network on all computers to see if it works, but the same exact problems occur after doing this.

I met this problem now THREE times. I can't believe that I'm the only one who has this problem and I can't believe that there isn't a solution for it. None of the Microsoft documentation has even a hint of a solution for this specific problem.

I need a solution that closes completely the network at my church, and they cannot afford to buy printers and others for each of their computers.

This error message is misleading. See article Knowledge Base Microsoft Antivirus software may Cause Event ID 2011 for a likely solution, specifying a value of IRPStackSize 15 on A computer.

as you don't say you've tried programs, try this one to remove the malware:

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.

Can anyone help and how to get the access permissions?

The reason for the message is:

  • Windows 7 - file/folder access permissions

In Windows 7, is it possible to remove the folder and file access permissions throughout the world?  I changed the permissions of folder individually, but it's a nuisance, because permissions seem to vary throughout the structure.

I also batch files copying and writing data that are also affected by these folder permissions.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hello

I do not understand the process will be painful, however you must first start with the largest content and assign a new owner and save the changes made to all the sup files inherit the same permissions and down to the last file.
Some useful tools that can help to facilitate this task, CACLS.exe, since there is not a direct support of article which explains the features and methods for the Windows 7 operating system, I would say that you use your favorite search engine to check its controls and description.

Note: Make sure that when you are looking not to click or download random content that can be labeled 'Cacls, property, access' as these file may damage your computer.

    refer,

Subinacl is an autmated process and therefore the OP will not have to change the file permissions individually if he could run this tool. These are advanced steps, do not try until the necessary measures are taken to ensure that the data and the system upward.

Warunicorn, thanks for the advice. Sorry it took so long to answer.

The problem that had occurred several days after posting my request disappeared as suddenly as he had appeared. two days later he returned with a vengeance - all kinds of weird, random strangeness, especially when starting PS in the end, in a spirit of ' turn it off restart ', I uninstalled (as deep as I could) all of my s/w Adobe and reinstalled from scratch. Everything works as it should and so for more than a week - so my hope is that I've solved the problem, which I think was caused by some sort of file or registry corruption.

  • external hard drive, refusal of access permissions...

I recently bought an external drive (G-Drive) to my back side ups.

Now, I get an error message (occasionally) stating that I have no permission for its content and I can't eject the hard drive in my desktop computer.

And when I go to copy the content to the hard drive, it just shows that he is about to be copied without transferring all content...

I open the "Get Info" tab and there my user account to the content of the hard drive read/write.

I should have access to the hard drive to do the above actions, but somehow it is not allowing me.

I have another external hard drive and it ended all it activities.

  • Access/permissions of system32 folder

A few programs, I tried installed have stopped due to a same 'mistake' - they cannot access c:/windows/System32 or a file in this folder.

After a lot of research, I discovered that the record is marked "read only".

I tried to change the permissions in the properties--> of nothing helps security section: when I click on apply - I get a message saying:

    "C:\windows\system32\0409---acces denied.

    I am the administrator.

Grzegorz: I tried advance so permissions to nothing does not.  I can change the name of the files, but cannot remove the attribute "Read only" folder.

Myron: One or two were older... but I came across the same problem with others that I had to upgrade to the latest versions - even with the compatibility mode.

While the problem of 'access' remains, looks that Windows Firewall has been the main culprit. I use a suite of third-party security that I never liked WF... for some reason any when I installed it, it did not automatically extinguished WF.  Once I turned off WF, the program installed without a hitch.

Thank you both for your responses.

  • JSR 75 file access permissions

    Hi all

I'm currently porting our app for blackberry.

We try to use the file system access to write and read data, can someone tell me how permissions work with blackberry?

our baseline will be the 8310, if the application is signed the device will ask each access to the file system or will the option "always allow" be available?

The elegant solution is to use the API ApplicationPermission.

If you do not configure a permissions using the API ApplicationPermission check and default permissions of the user for the "files" are defined at the command prompt, the user will be prompted.

In addition, if the user is prompted to enter and does not select "Do not ask again", they will be invited again.

Discover the ApplicationPermissionDemo that is packed with Eclipse and JDE. It should help a little. If you have any questions, you can always check here.

We test 5 and Manager of the person and ran across a problem during the POC.

Someone at - he found a way to allow the admin access to records created by the Persona Manager user profile? By default, PM creates files of the user in the title of the part of repository with the property set exclusively to the user, so as an administrator, when I try to look at the files from there I can't without first ownership. Not only is it a pain to have to do this for troubleshooting, I fear that appropriators will break things for the user to go forward
