Nikon D7000 Camera from Raw of color LR4

I just put my camera to a Nikon D70 to a D7000.

Problem: When I process RAW /NEF with Adobe Lightroom 4 color files is terrible. By that I mean, the pictures look dull, dark and have no pop. The coloring is not even close to what is displayed on the screen of the device of Nikon.

When I use the Nikon View NX: the software which is pakaged with the camera produces an image that is, or almost identical to the image of the camera after the picture is taken.

I like better than ViewNX lightroom feature, so what I did is treatment with ViewNX and then export to a TIFF file.  The LR4 opening and then import and cataloging.  This process is a pain and time consuming.

I also found that LR3 does a better job than LR4 to process the images.

Is there a way I can modify or download corrected the ACR settings to match my Nikon D7000.

Well have you worked with before raw?

If this isn't the case, I suggest that you get some basic information about the raw development and if it is for you.

what you see on your LCD are processed cameras JPG previews "in camera".

your nikon software knows exactly what the camera is done in-house and can therefore reproduce the camera motor looks much better then software of third parties.

but when you want the look of JPG, you can take JPG´s not?

RAW is for people who want TO develop their own images.

I Don t want an engineer to the Japan decides how to look at my pictures.

of course this means I have to put my work in developing the images.

Adobe offers presets (for some devices) next to the standard profile.

but I must say that most of them does not look as good you will receive from nikon or canons raw software.

So be your own profile.

Hi, I have a Nikon D7100 and I use Adobe Lightroom6 with her. But I can tie is no longer my camera with Lightroom 6 or 5 Lightroom. Very annoying! From my understanding, when Apple set to upgrade to El Capitan they don't consider some Nikon coding in the equation.

  • Nikon D7000 & CS5.5

This one has me a little confused.

A producer I work with recently bought a Nikon D7000 camera.  We have a great upcoming project, we decided to run tests of the sequences and Premiere Pro 5.5, we probably enjoy the new feature to merge Clips...  The results are more than a little disappointing (and confusing).

The camera uses H.264 compression in a MOV container.  (Monique!  I feel dirty just saw that Apple filthy junk on my system.  "But that's another issue).  It produces stand alone files, no to worry folder structure.  5.5 playback is very choppy, regardless of the resolution of reading.  Export takes about 3 X in real time and uses less cycles 20% CPU, if do so directly or through SOUL.

Clips of same in the same sequence will play smooth as butter in 5.0.3.  They export, faster than real-time, using 100% of CPU, directly and through the SOUL.

Both DV and pliers RED seem to play fine in 5.5.

I don't know what to make of this degradation 5.5.  The ides out there?

I don't remember the thread, but someone else had a D7000 and I found that rename the. MOV in .mpg it played smoothly in 5.5

The D750 is not yet supported. It may be a few weeks before Adobe proposes an update to the latest versions of Photoshop/Elements. Perhaps in October/November.

They generally provide a pre-release version of a few weeks in advance (any day now, I hope), but as far as I KNOW, they do not usually work on Photoshop Elements.

The HDR or panoramic DNG we get from RAW in Camera RAW files, are they similar to a RAW file, or they suffer losses of quality?

The merged pano is a DNG, always a raw file with latitude of intact setting. It's not a RGB file made.

Of course, you will get the usual perspective correction in executives "side", with the associated resampling, but apart from that, you lose nothing.

    Hi Bobsirkus,

The camera you have is compatible with the latest version of Lightroom, which is Lightroom 6/CC.

Please see the list of the camera supported by Lightroom: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

You can use the DNG Converter, converts images and then import them into DNG in Lightroom.

  • Unable to get PC to recognize the camera from Nikon s3300.

We just bought a Nikon s3300 camera and can not get our PC to recognize it. Whenever we try to install the software, we get an error message telling us that we are missing a file ptpusb.dll and that we should insert the original XP discs. We have not what the computer was XP is already installed. I tried several programs repair/recover for free available, but none worked. Also, I reloaded the last sp3 for XP hoping this would provide that missing the file, but it doesn't work anymore.  Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this problem? I noticed on the internet, that this is not a rare problem with certain digital cameras and XP, but nowhere can I find someone who seems to know the answer!

    original title: lack of ptpusb.dll

OK here's what I discovered - I discovered a lot of people who have had this same problem when trying to install a relatively new digital camera on XP. I'm not an expert, but the common theme seems to be that one of the 2 dll files are required by the camera to work via the usb connection, and for some reason that I do not understand that they are not easily identifiable or pre-installed when it connects for the first time. The files are ptbusb.dll and/or his sister c:\windows\system32\ptpusd.dll of the file. According to several sites that I contacted, these default files shoud is in at least one of these places - c:\windows\system32 or \system32\dllcache or c:\windows\drivercache\i386. However, ptbusb.dll was not in one of these locations on the version of XP that I was working, even after reloading of the pack SP3 and after looking all hidden files.

In the end, I went to www.dll-files.com. This was one of the few sites I found that would let me just to download a zip file with the file that I wanted (with file note on how to install and where), without having to sign up for some sort of remedial program that eventually I would have had to pay for.
I've copied this file to windows\system32 first and does not need to put it anywhere else, because after this, the camera was immediately recognized and the problem disappeared.

    Hi Firsq

The 7200 Nikon requires version 9.0 of ACR, which is only available in PSE13 with PSE13.1 update.

You can download the free Adobe DNG converter (links at the bottom of the faq above).

This stand-alone software can batch convert all of a folder of your raw files to DNG PSE12 can read and modify.

  • Photoshop works better with the Canon EOS 7 d or Nikon D7000?

    18.0 megapixels - Canon EOS 7 d

    16.2 megapixels - Nikon D7000

Also, I keep reading the best digital to work with Photoshop CS5.5 image format is RAW.

    Is this good?

    Thank you.

    Jeff says.

Nikon or Canon is the same as Coke or Pepsi. It's one you prefer. Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw plugin consume and process is very well.

RAW files give you more data to work with - so that you have more latatude to adjust an image with a greater color fidelity and fewer artifacts.

Some users (documentary/news photographers) prefer JPEG because their cameras can contain more and reach more quickly - and more they can ship these files directly to anyone and allow them to open and view them.
