Nikon D7000 & CS5.5

This one has me a little confused.

A producer I work with recently bought a Nikon D7000 camera.  We have a great upcoming project, we decided to run tests of the sequences and Premiere Pro 5.5, we probably enjoy the new feature to merge Clips...  The results are more than a little disappointing (and confusing).

The camera uses H.264 compression in a MOV container.  (Monique!  I feel dirty just saw that Apple filthy junk on my system.  "But that's another issue).  It produces stand alone files, no to worry folder structure.  5.5 playback is very choppy, regardless of the resolution of reading.  Export takes about 3 X in real time and uses less cycles 20% CPU, if do so directly or through SOUL.

Clips of same in the same sequence will play smooth as butter in 5.0.3.  They export, faster than real-time, using 100% of CPU, directly and through the SOUL.

Both DV and pliers RED seem to play fine in 5.5.

I don't know what to make of this degradation 5.5.  The ides out there?

I don't remember the thread, but someone else had a D7000 and I found that rename the. MOV in .mpg it played smoothly in 5.5

Also, I keep reading the best digital to work with Photoshop CS5.5 image format is RAW.

    Is this good?

    Thank you.

    Jeff says.

Nikon or Canon is the same as Coke or Pepsi. It's one you prefer. Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw plugin consume and process is very well.

RAW files give you more data to work with - so that you have more latatude to adjust an image with a greater color fidelity and fewer artifacts.

Some users (documentary/news photographers) prefer JPEG because their cameras can contain more and reach more quickly - and more they can ship these files directly to anyone and allow them to open and view them.

  • CS4 does not open the NAVE of Nikon D7000 files; Is there a DNC that opens to them?

    I have CS4 and light room 2

Apparently there is no Camera Raw update for new NAVE of Nikon D7000 for CS4 files.

So I downloaded the Adobe Digital negative converter Verson 6.3.0.79 which is compatible with Camera Raw 5.4 or later.

Using this DNC, when I do step 1, "select the images to convert" I get the message "no items don't match your search.  It is apparently not files NAVE achievements the D7000.

Is there an another DNC that will open and convert the D7000 NEF files?

I just bought the d7000 yesterday and had the same problem with cs4. I downloaded the adobe DNG Converter and selected the whole folder where the raw files (I was unable to select individual images) and it worked fine. He treated the files one by one with the new name (without the pricetag CS5 $ 500 at the moment). The DNG files in bridge and psd. Maybe try to select the folder?  Good luck.

Hi, I have a Nikon D7100 and I use Adobe Lightroom6 with her. But I can tie is no longer my camera with Lightroom 6 or 5 Lightroom. Very annoying! From my understanding, when Apple set to upgrade to El Capitan they don't consider some Nikon coding in the equation.

We need to know if Apple will solve these problems...

  • I want to display the Nikon D7000 .nef files in Windows Explorer/widows Webcam live picture and use some ice with them in Windows Vista.

I want to display the Nikon D7000 .nef files in Windows Explorer/widows Webcam live picture and use some ice with them in Windows Vista. I think that Microsoft's current camera raw codec not support.nef files from Nikon D7000. Furthermore, I would also like to use Adobe .dng files in files. VISTA has native free codecs for the same. Please season a solution?

original title: Micorsoft Camera Raw Codec

As far as I lnow... the following codec pack is
the most current available from Microsoft.

    Microsoft Camera Codec Pack

(Windows 7, Windows Vista Service Pack 2)
This package will allow RAW supported
camera files visible in Windows Explorer

The following retail software is not Microsoft
    but maybe worth a visit:

  • Attach doesn´t work / / way: 4.4 Lightroom, Nikon D7000, El Capitan Mac

    Hello community,

I try to explain my problem in English as well as I do I m using Lightroom version 4.4 (Camera Raw 7.4) with a Nikon D7000, cable original USB and a MacBook Pro 10.11.3 El Capitan.

I tried the steps of troubleshooting trouble shooting tethered in Lightroom. So my camera should be compatible, the USB cable is ok (I can import the photos), but don t tool attachment shows the camera. Nan a troubleshooting steps helped. And I tried with the version of Lightroom 5.7.1 test - it doesn´t worked too. Is that someone there who had the same problem? And maybe a solution? For me it s important to controll my images/photos of the laptop and import. And if the problem can still not resolved, you have an idea that is cheap for the camera to import with the computer control (and El Captain)?

    Thank you for your time!
    Vio

    Hi Vio,

There was a problem for Nikon camera is not able to perform the on El Capitan MAC tethered shooting.

So I suggest you to please install the latest version of Lightroom time, Lightroom 6 and then check if you are able to perform shooting captive or not.

    Kind regards

    Tanuj

I cannot attach my Nikon D7000 to Lightroom.  All I get is a bad message to say that no camera has been detected.  I use LR 5.7 to the cord supplied with my camera. What possible fixes are there?

Troubleshoot the captive capture in Lightroom

  • Problems of tethered shooting captures with 4.4 Lightroom using Nikon D7000.

I was taken captive capture mode for about a year, with few problems until recently. I use Lightroom 4.4 in conjunction with a Nikon D7000.  Operating system is Windows 7, 32 bit.    I now get a dialog mssg stating: "a captured file could not be saved.  Your drive is full may or may no longer be accessible. "Both of the drives I use have tons of remaining available storage space.  Any suggestions on how I should start the process with this troubleshooting problem would be greatly appreciated!

Problems with captive capture turn out to be a problem with my operating system.  I did a system restore to an available restore point just before the beginning of my problems with capture captive.  After having done that, he worked as it should.  Still don't know what was the conflict in operating system, but for now - problem solved.

  • The Nikon D7000 a jiggin' and extreme shift images

    Hello

So I have a Nikon D7000 and when I import images, the files become very laggy and nervousness. I have read other responses and tried all methods such as changing of MOV-> MPG but the lag is still there and its pretty frustrating.

If someone could help me it would be much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried adjusting your reading resolution setting? (i.e. full, 1/2, 1/4, etc.)

    Kind regards

  • Nikon D7000 Camera from Raw of color LR4

    I just put my camera to a Nikon D70 to a D7000.

Problem: When I process RAW /NEF with Adobe Lightroom 4 color files is terrible. By that I mean, the pictures look dull, dark and have no pop. The coloring is not even close to what is displayed on the screen of the device of Nikon.

When I use the Nikon View NX: the software which is pakaged with the camera produces an image that is, or almost identical to the image of the camera after the picture is taken.

I like better than ViewNX lightroom feature, so what I did is treatment with ViewNX and then export to a TIFF file.  The LR4 opening and then import and cataloging.  This process is a pain and time consuming.

I also found that LR3 does a better job than LR4 to process the images.

Is there a way I can modify or download corrected the ACR settings to match my Nikon D7000.

Well have you worked with before raw?

If this isn't the case, I suggest that you get some basic information about the raw development and if it is for you.

what you see on your LCD are processed cameras JPG previews "in camera".

your nikon software knows exactly what the camera is done in-house and can therefore reproduce the camera motor looks much better then software of third parties.

but when you want the look of JPG, you can take JPG´s not?

RAW is for people who want TO develop their own images.

I Don t want an engineer to the Japan decides how to look at my pictures.

of course this means I have to put my work in developing the images.

Adobe offers presets (for some devices) next to the standard profile.

but I must say that most of them does not look as good you will receive from nikon or canons raw software.

    So be your own profile.

  • Nikon D7000 NEF RAW files

I just bought a nice shiny new Nikon D7000 and configure it to use the RAW of Nikon NEF files.

I have been processing the RAW files on items for about 7 years now, but when I downloaded on my new camera, I was informed that the filese have been corrupt or not acceptable for PSE 8. My D200 had no such problems.

How can I get on it?

    Andy

Thanks Jon, seems to work now. At least, I have photos I took today show!

Thanks a lot for your help

  • Nikon D7000 and Lightroom and elements

I just bought a Nikon D7000 and cannot open RAW images in Lightroom 2 or 7 elements.  I used these 2 programs successfully with pictures from my Nikon D70s.  If someone has encountered this problem?

You need Lightroom 3.3 or Elements 9 to process Nikon D7000 raw photos.

An alternative is to download the DNG Converter (version 6.3) and convert your D7000. NEF files to DNG, in which case your elements and Lightroom versions will be able to process DNG photos.

  • PSE8/ACR will show the NAVE of Nikon D7000 files

Just got my Nikon D7000, but now it turns out that PSE8.

ACR cannot display the camera NEF files! What should do?

The Nikon D7000 will rely on ACR 6.3, which should be released soon.  It is already available in Adobe Labs as RC, which will probably only work with Photoshop CS.
