No. built in email client in Windows 7

What is the solution to any customer of e-mail under Winows 7? Many of my clients spend about half the time on a computer in their email. They like Outlook Express and Windows Mail. A lot like not Web mail, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird email and find opportunities to be more that they want more it cost them a lot to get it. I think this will do a lot to stick with Windows XP or Vista, when they are awear of this change.

Windows Live mail is better than Windows Mail when it is used as a replacement for Outlook Express. It becomes slow when Hotmail is added to a POP3 e-mail account, but for POP3 on it's own, it's great.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Thanks nene!

I have studied the problem and the solution.
    The results are displayed below.

IF YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER IS

    ATT OR SBC GLOBAL
    AND YOUR EMAIL CLIENT IS
       WINDOWS LIVE MAIL
    AND YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM IS

    WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM
AND IF YOU CAN RECEIVE MAIL
    CAN NOT SEND to MAIL
BE SURE TO CHECK THE FOLLOWING SETTINGS:

Outgoing (SMTP) server port should be 587
and CHECK the box that says "my server requires authentication".
Do NOT check the SSL box.

Click APPLY at the bottom, and then close the Windows Live Mail program
and then reopen it.  This should send messages in your Outbox (as appropriate).
To speed up this process, you can click on the SYNC button on the MenuBar at the top of WML.

If there are no messages to send, compose a new message and send it to yourself.
You can click on SYNCHRONIZE to watch status box open and show you if it sends.
Check also sent box and Inbox for sending TEST msg.

    * also, if you have been told by AT & T or SBC GLOBAL who to check your email on the internet you must go through Yahoo.com and enter your full e-mail (att.net OR sbcglobal.net) and enter your log in password, then your email POP3 and SMTP settings must also include the following:

    INCOMING (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com
    OUTBOUND (SMTP): mail.yahoo.com

  • any email client comes with windows 7 Home premium

purchase of a new computer which has windows 7 Home premium installed.  Found that outlook express will no longer exist for me :) is an email client that comes with this version preinstalled windows 7?

You can import messages from OE in WLMail. Here are the basics, but try the WLMail forum if you need more specific information.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.

For my part, I went to Thunderbird in Win7. I couldn't find a program for export/import, I did it this way that works with most email clients.

Create a folder on your desktop, then in Outlook Express open the folder with the messages you want to save. Highlight a message, and then Ctrl + A will highlight all (or Ctrl-button down while you select only messages you want), now, drag and drop them into the folder on your desktop.

Copy this folder on the desktop of the new machine. Create a folder in the email client. Open the office folder and drag messages into the e-mail client folder.

  • Where can I install Windows Live - the email client, not the e-mail service?

I had a problem or two with my emails, as shown in this forum. A good piece of advice, it's that I should install Windows Live, the mail client (not Windows Live Mail, the mail service.

I looked up and down on Ms sites - none other than the basics, including Livemail.

I found it on File Hippo and Cnet, but both want to install additional software to speed up the download. I had problem with one of these programs a year back and I'm happy to wait as long as it takes to download it.

-Can anyone tell me the MS page so that I can download the Windows Live Mail client please?

It is part of the essential elements of Windows, but you don't have to download anything.

  • How to stop offering to compact my files, Outlook Express? I use Outlook as my email client.

Whenever I restart my computer, Outlook Express offers compact my files. How to make it in mind that it is the own business. I use Outlook as my email client.

    Hi jpboyt,

I suggest you try the steps suggested by Steve Winograd, of the following link and check if this can help:

To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages. This can take up to a few minutes.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article: How to back up and restore the registry in Windows XP

  • I need an email client with distinct identities that are compatible with Vista.

I could not upgrade to Vista XP, because I need an e-mail with a SEPARATE identity client.

Now 7 will come out tomorrow and no solution in sight.

I see dozens of customers and have seven POP separate accounts on my PC, directly related to different customers.

It is essential to maintain a complete separation between the e-mail accounts. Often the transmissions are delicate or confidential.

I tried to use Windows Mail, as a test on a second PC, but there is no way to maintain a clear distinction and separation between email accounts. It is too easy to send to the wrong account, at the wrong time, causing incredible embarrassment and set up the possibility of putting at risk the confidentiality of the customer.

I can't believe that Microsoft rejected arbitrarily Outlook Express, without any real consideration for users who have a specific need for a separate identity.

Is there a solution? Is there a mail client that works with Vista and 7, with the possibility for a SEPARATE identity?

    Help!

Microsoft Outlook is an email client that works with Vista and 7, with the possibility for a SEPARATE identity.  It is not free, but it does what you want.

    I hope that's not too simplistic.  :-)

  • Using Cisco VPN Client in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    Hi all!
I need to use Cisco VPN Client to connect to my server in the company, because my company uses lotus notes Server, I have to connect Cisco VPN to access e-mail. But now my windows version is Windows 7 Pro 64 bits that cannot directly install this application, I already installed XP Mode and creatde shortcut to Windows 7, I plugged the Cisco VPN to my Cisco VPN server, but I can not access the server, Pls help me and show me how to solve this problem

Open the XP VM itself, do not use the shortcut that was published in
the W7 boot menu. You need to install Outlook / your email client
Inside the virtual machine, as well as on the side of W7. You can point to the same
PST files if you have local PST files, but you just can't open them in
at the same time of W7 and XP VM.

There is no way to bridge using the shortcut of publishing app

Some people have reported success with the third party IPSec
replacements as customer universal shrew or the NCP. Your IT Department.
would like to know if these are supported

  • Move the CUPS 8.6 to GI & P 11.0 - client for Windows 10.6 Jabber

    Hi community support

We are modernizing our environment voice of 8.6 to 11.0 CUCM, CUPS, CUC and UCCX including passage of MCS including Cisco UCS servers. Regarding CUCM, UCCX, and CUC I just finished these several times in the past and we have a detailed plan. Regarding the CUPS/Jabber, we always try to finalize the design of upgrade and after reading many documents and a few good videos by Jaime Valencia our particular upgrade scenario is still uncertain.

We were using Microsoft OCS and decided to migrate to CUPS/Jabber so we have 3 groups CUCM we created 3 only the CUPS server clusters (Let's put HA when we go to Cisco UCS, but at the time we had only 3 MCS spare servers) and they have peers inter-classes.

    • We use a single domain across all 3 groups.
    • 100% of our users use IM & P through integration of voicemail and calendar and call control
    • 10% of our users have also softphones
    • We do not use SRV yet for service discovery due to having 3 groups on 8.6 so we Jabber for Windows 10.6 bundled with Microsoft SCCM, specifying the Type of account as Cisco IM & presence and login server 'use the following server' that points to the Publisher of CUPS.
    • First time users will have to specify [email protected] / * / how he discovered the area, use only the user name and password to connect, after which its caching and all connections are automatic.

    My questions are:

    • When we improve CUPS 8.6 to IM & P 11.0 ourJabber for the client configuration Windows 10.6 will continue to work without modification?
    • We currently link to the Type of account 'Cisco instant messaging and presence', this allows us to use IM & P and the voice that is to control the calls and softphones, you would select Account Type Cisco Unified Communications Manager in what scenario?
    • We want to use SRV for the Discovery Service, but as we have 3 groups who are upgraded in an approach by steps are better wait we have updated all 3 groups, we can use a single SRV for multi clusters with ILS?
    • When you first connect to Jabber, you must enter [email protected] / * / while he discovered the field then we just enter username and password (less the field), the average of SRV service discovery simply enter the user name and password once without the specified domain?
    • This SRV for the discovery service also provides the AP for connection if the main server is down or is making another way?

    Thank you, Carl Ratcliffe

    Preston, Lancashire England

Yes, the configuration remains the same

As for the second question, read here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/voice_ip_comm/Jabber/10_6/planning-...

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/voice_ip_comm/Jabber/10_6/CJAB_BK_C...

As now CUCM is one that handles services profiles, which define everything, you want to use _cisco-uds

#3 Yes, you probably want to wait to get them all in the same release, then make sure THEY works very well, and then configure the SRVs

#4 Yes, the first time, it will ask for [email protected] / * /, once he finds the SRVs it caches the user and you need only the password.

#5 Yes, you can configure the SRVs for all servers in the cluster.
