  Right-click on a zone empty of your desktop and choose personalize. When customization of the control panel applet opens, choose the color of the window (on the axis, below the pane). When the pane of the window color and appearance opens, click Advanced appearance settings (lower left corner of the pane).

  Now... with the Windows color and appearance of dialog box open, click on the white space of the Window Active (do not click the text in the window) or choose the command window of the point: in the drop-down list. Choose a color for 1 color:, e.g. Gray. Click apply at the bottom right and wait Windows 7 resets the graphic properties.

  If you now open Notepad, you'll have a gray window active. My IE follows suit, but only on a white page. Web designers in general choose the background image or color they want to view, and you will have to go into the options of the browser to replace those.

  You can change the background color for the mode full screen (in the full screen preferences). Or, you can change the background color of a PDF document. But I don't think there is a way to change the color of the Acrobat window.

  Sometime last year I tried to change my vista desktop theme and I found that the screen wasn't there everything I had, it was the style customization options old XP offers windows xp and style classic and high definition. Before I reloaded Windows I could change the transparency of the windows and taskbar and the tone of the colors, etc., but now all I can choose themes default and such of older versions of Windows. I was told that after I downloaded and installed all the updates, I'd be able to do, but I'm still not able to do. Is there a reason why and is there a any solution for this? Drivers? Material?   In the services dialog box, double-click the themes service. On the Recovery tab, set the first and second failure of the drop-down lists "restart the service".   After a year of the default theme for Win7 (which I liked), for a nice change, I passed to the Windows 7 basic theme. It is somewhat a return to the 95/98 default theme, and the taskbar are a clear/grey blue.   Could you post a screenshot of your workspace, including your layers panel? It's a little unclear what exactly you're trying to do and the problem you are experiencing.

  Work you stumbled upon a locked background layer? A locked layer displays a small lock icon in the layers panel (as shown below). You will get the following result you are trying to select and delete a zone on a locked layer:

  

  What is the problem you are having? If so, just double click on the locked layer in your layers panel and click OK in the dialog box that appears towards the top. You should now be able to delete a selection and you end up with a transparent area:
