  After a year of the default theme for Win7 (which I liked), for a nice change, I passed to the Windows 7 basic theme. It is somewhat a return to the 95/98 default theme, and the taskbar are a clear/grey blue. Is there a way I can darken the color a little the taskbar, but keeping all the rest on this theme (form and UI icons, etc.)?

  In the section Customize, Windows had a link to the MS site for additional themes, but none of them had what I wanted.

  I suggest you do a repair from WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) system using a Windows 7 installation disc. Follow these steps:

  1. turn on your computer, insert the Windows installation DVD, and then restart your computer.

  2. Press any key when prompted to do so and follow the instructions that appear.

  3. when the Windows Installer page, click repair your computer to access system recovery options.

  4. follow the instructions.

• The default text alignment. Will not change despite the explicit specification.

  Recently converted to OBIEE 10.1.3.3.2.
  All alignemnt text in the PivotTable will not change to align "Left". I have put all possible horizontal alignments in the report between 'Left', but still shows as centered.
  
  Above applies to all reports (converted from Siebel or newly created).
  Am I missing something? Is there a global default value?

  Have you checked the file view.css and pivot.fst under... OracleBI\web\res\\b_mozilla_4.You can change the alignment of this file with PivotTable segment.

  Since the upgrade to Windows 10 my 15 Pavilion has acquired two new problems:

  1. It will not wake from sleep and requires a hard reboot to get it going again.
  2. When stopped down, the lights of the power and wifi stay and a hard stop via the power button is necessary.

  I tried various fixes suggested in the Microsoft forum without success.  HP Support says there is no update for my laptop.  This issue is driving me crazy and I am very disappointed that HP seem so little to help.

  The details of my machine are:

  Product number: F8S59EA #ABU

  BIOS: F.67-11/26/2014

  Can someone please help?

  1. Download version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.
     • Navigate to HP Software and Driver Downloads site (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html) to find the last pilot approved for your model.  Filtrer filter by version, select Microsoft Windows 8.1 on the menu drop-down.  Find the download in the category 'Driver-Chipset'  If a pilot of MEI with a version from 9 or 10 number is listed, download.  [9.5.24.1790 version 1.5 M (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe) works for most models.]
     • If a pilot of MEI with a version from 9 or 10 number is NOT listed, download the driver appropriate directly from Intel (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=intel+management+engine).  [9.5.24.1790 version 1.5 M (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23091/Intel-ME-9-Management-Engine-Driver-for-Intel-NUC) works for most models.]
  2. Download the Package of troubleshooting Windows 10 "show or hide updates" (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/wushowhide.diagcab).
  3. Change the Windows Update Services automatic (delayed start) parameter to the manual.
     • In Control Panel, select administrative tools, and open Services.
     • Go to Windows Update and double-click it to view its properties.
     • Click on stop to stop the service to run.
     • Change the Startup Type to manual, and then click OK.
  4. Install version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  If you receive a warning dialog box about the replacement of a newer version of the software, accept it.
     • NOTE: You have NO need to uninstall version 11 before installing version 9 or 10.  The presence of a version of the driver is required to 'upgrade' (or demote in this case).
  5. Run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting Package 'Show or hide updates' and hide the updates of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  (This will block your system automatically reinstall or display of updates for version 11 of the pilot).
  6. Change back the setting of Windows Update Services to manual automatic (delayed start).
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. Rejoice!  You can finally sleep and stop again.

  Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

  d. restart Windows Media Player.

  Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

   

  Method 4: If the problem persists, try to disable and enable Media Player and check.

  Step 1: turn off Windows Media Player:
  a. go initially and in search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.
  b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
  c. find multimedia and uncheck Windows Media Player.
  d. restart the computer.
   
  Step 2: Enable the Windows Media Player:
  a. go initially and in search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.
  b. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
  c. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
  d. restart the computer.

• Shortcut Windows 7 to the MS-DOS program icon will not change

  I have an old MS-DOS program that I use and I need to create a toolbar that contains a link to other programs.  However, when I try to change the icon for the shortcut, it passes in the properties box, but does not actually change the icon in the bar of tools/folder, instead I get an icon of Virgin paper.  Does anyone know a workaround or fix for this?

  What I've done is to create a command (.cmd) file using Notepad

  run and the path to the app BACK for example

  Run E:\rbase.exe

  Save it as a file .cmd or simply change the extension to .cmd .txt

  For example, call Rbase.cmd

  Then using New (right click) on the desktop, create a shortcut to the .cmd file.

  You can change this shortcut icon.

  The desktop icons should not change unless you change the screen resolution. Run SFC and see if that helps.

• The time on my Ipod will not change when its coastline, Wifi disconnects randomly, screen goes green and red and restart full iPod.

  OK so this problem started about two days ago. I noticed that my time was off so I went to settings > General > Date and time. I changed the hour correctly but when I locked it and got out of her for a few minutes, it was always the same when I changed it.   Sunday 20 Dec I tried to install an update from windows for a Western Digital network drive driver. He failed with the error code 800705 b 4 and since then the computer refuses to shut down normally - it is only possible by the dreaded button! I tried to perform a system restore, but this also fails. even in safe mode.

  Just curious.  It is possible also that the version you mention does not include patches that make v9.8 - I'm not sure...  I guess you got it after October 2002 if...?  At all "FixPacks?

  HP Officejet 6500. New HP ink cartridges installed successfully, no error message is displayed. Still yellow and magenta flow any color at all. Tried cleaning the sensor, does not. Not all troubleshooting on HP site referred only to 'error' messages, which I don't get.
