  I tried to google the web address first, but nothing came, so I went to look at a computer without itunes or whatever it is (who you going to scam?) and links to a website that looks totally "find my iphone" logo with a whole. • Are the contents of iCloud drive saved by Time Machine, or can they be by another application?

  I have papers etc. on the iCloud benefit from the drive on which I want to be sure top = either thru clone Super Duper or Time Machine or through my cloud system CrashPlan = is the iCloud content player like Dropbox, essentially in reverse?  or are the content only on the drive and not backed up?

  Applications like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper cloning can copy/clone the content of hard drives; I don't think they can save things in the cloud. And, although I don't use time machine, I don't think it can be. Here are a few articles from Apple on icloud-storage and backup:

  So you're worried about whether or not someone can disable find my phone if they are able to guess the password and enter in your iPad. According to this article on find my Activation lock phone, no, they can't:

  I had a problem with the finder long even with the Mavericks and now with v10.11.1 El Capitan

  If the test takes much longer that usual to run because the computer is very slow, you can be prompted for your password a second time. The permission you grant by entering it will expire automatically after five minutes.

  If you are not logged as an administrator, you will be prompted for a password. The test will run. It just will not do anything that requires administrator privileges.

  11. the test may take a few minutes to run, depending on the number of files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that is abnormally slow may take more time to run the test. During execution, a series of lines is displayed in the Terminal window like this:

  Wait for the final "Process complete" message. If you don't see it in about 15 minutes, the test probably won't be all within a reasonable time. In this case, press the Ctrl + C key combination or the point command to stop it. Then go to the next step. You will have incomplete results, but still something. If you close the window of the Terminal, while the test is still running, the partial results will not be saved and you have to start over.

  12. when the test is finished, or if you have stopped it because it was taking too long, leaving the Terminal. The results have been saved to the Clipboard automatically. • Documents & files transferred to iCloud Desktop

  Even though I am quite certain that I refused the option move these two folders to iCloud when I was installing Sierra, that's where they found themselves. What setting change in order to get back them on my hard drive? A screenshot would be useful.

  If I keep these two folders in iCloud, are they get saved anywhere else? I run time machine on my Mac.

  Under the checkbox for "Optimize Mac Storage", it says "the whole contents of iCloud drive is stored on the Mac if you have enough space." I use 500G of 3 t of my Mac's hard drive. My iCloud drive is < 50. Assuming that there is enough space, where on the hard drive of the Mac would be content to iCloud album stored?

  What I found on my Mac, office files and Documents are still exactly where they were and with all my documents in them. They are simply not displayed in the home folder in Finder.

  I'll see what happens when I disable Desktop, Documents and report.

  Update: when you disable Desktop and Documents, it warns you that the contents of these two files will be available in iCloud drive. In my view, that he also warned me when he finished the dissociation.

  I can access m iCloud drive of documents from the Terminal by entering

  CD ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/com ~ apple ~ CloudDocs.
