No D: / shortcut in the send to the box

I uninstalled 'save now' and installed 'nero' but in my documents when right click and go to send to the d: / link has disappeared. How can I add the shortcut back?

Thank you

Mark

Hello

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\ YOUR USER NAME \SendTo
Click with the right button of the mouse and choose NEW > shortcut
When the window to create a shortcut is open use the button BROWSE and navigate to D:\
Click NEXT and FINISH

After doing this drive must be listed under SEND TO.

Good bye

  • Help with the internet shortcut that was sent to the office on my laptop Windows 7 IE - 11 directly from IE > file > send > shortcut on the desktop?

Makes no sense. I only use IE, and it is the only browser on this thing. I have looked in Control Panel > set Associations and I do not see even one specifically for http even if that's what the box says that appears when I try to click on it. And in case you care, this shortcut is supposed to lead to another of my Questions about this site to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/id-like-to-clean-install-windows-10-on-the-laptop/17583823-c36d-4457-8689-1970267475dc?page=5&tm=1470978081554#LastReply

    Hi subhshy001,

Welcome to the Microsoft Windows answers Forum community!

Try this if you do not have

Windows Explorer to create the folders and shortcuts in your document folder, drag and drop them on your desktop.

If you have completed the steps and was not even useful,

    Follow these steps:

Try to create a shortcut and sending it on the desktop.

    (1) open: Start Menu ,.
    (2) right-click: Internet Explorer icon .
    (3) select: send to > desktop (create shortcut).

There should be a shortcut on the desktop .

Make sure that the "show desktop icon" has a check against it

    OR

Just click on the empty part of the desktop, choose new > then select the folder to create. Right click on this folder , select Rename it.

If the steps above do not work then:

You can scan your computer for malware.

You can download, install and update anti-malware free of your favorite search engine and find malware.

If the scan comes back clean, so I recommend doing a System File Checker too l to analyze your OS system files.

To help resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt . To do this, click Start , click principally made programs , Accessories , right-click guest , and then click run as administrator .  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow .
    2. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc) the sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions. This analysis do take some time to complete.

    Hope this information helped!

  • Lost all my shortcuts on the desktop and cannot get back them!

Whenever I turn on my laptop, my living room of shortcuts for a few seconds, when the office, then they disappear forever once that it has finished loading!  This has happened for a few weeks now and I don't know how to fix it.  Also, when I right click on any program and try to send it on the desktop as a shortcut, it does not work, nothing happens! I tried to restore to a couple different points before the last windows update, and that didn't work either.  I also run full antivirus scans, etc & still nothing.  Help please! I want my shortcuts back!

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.  I hope you have a point to rstore dating back that far.

If this does not work, go to start / computer / C:\Users\\desktop (and you may also go to C:\Users\All Users\Bureau) and see if they contain elements of your desktop.  If so, copy all files and paste them on your desktop.  You can probably rearrange, but who should return them.

If this does not work, your user profile may be corrupted.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  If that is the only available Administrator Profile (you need to be an administrator to fix this), enable the Hidden Administrator Account (HAA) using http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?&lang=en&cr=US&guid=&sloc=en-us&dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords&p=1&tid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055&mid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055.  If you don't remember the password, try nothing because that's probably what you (or seller) did during the installation.  Once that is done, don't forget to disable the HAA to save it in case it is necessary once again and for safety reasons (since people often try to hack into systems using this account).  Do NOT use the HAA as your administrator account because if you lose the only administrator on the system account or it is damaged again, then you're watered.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to create a shortcut on the desktop?

    desktop shortcut

where can I get the shortcut on the desktop

I might have misunderstood your question entirely.

A longer sentence with a development could avoid this.

With nothing good to go on, my answer would be... you must create it.

Example: create a shortcut on the desktop of Windows Media Player...

Start button > all programs > scroll down the list to find Windows Media Player > right click it > click send to > select desktop (create shortcut).

A Windows Media Player shortcut is now on your desktop.

  • How to add a shortcut on the desktop for streets & trips 2013 for windows 7

Just installed MS streets and trips 2013, I do not see anywhere how to send a shortcut on the desktop. Tried to do a right click on the programs, but this option is not started.

I don't have the application under test, but normally you right click on the exe programs (or registering in the program menu) and either "create shortcut" or "send to" and then "desktop".

If the options are not there, your office, do new right click - shortcut, find your exe file of programs (the actual file you want to run) and and we should end up with a shortcut on your desktop to your program. (hopefully :-))

  • PS Extended CS6 shortcut on the desktop

I have Windows 8, 64-Bit. I just installed Ps CS6 Extended (but did not have a Custom Installation - in order to have selected the option to create a desktop shortcut). Can someone tell me pls how now to create a desktop shortcut without doing a uninstall and then re-install? TY.

A shortcut on the desktop should be easy.

Just do a search for Photoshop CS6, open the folder and on the exe, right click, choose "send to > desktop (create shortcut).»

The other idea is to open up Photoshop and when the icon appears in the taskbar, right-click and choose "PIN to the taskbar.

It will be a click of a button from Photoshop.

I installed photoshop CS5 extended but there is no shortcut on the desktop to open it, there is only one file.

Help I would love to be able to use my new purchase but cannot open it, what Miss me?

You should be able to click on the start menu, then click on all programs

and look at all of the programs at the top of the menu and see shortcuts for photoshop cs5.

If your running a 64-bit (OS) operating system, then it should be two shortcuts

for photoshop cs5, one for 32-bit and one for 64-bit (say 64-bit next to shortcut)

    version of photoshop.

Right-click on one of the shortcuts and choose send to > desktop (create shortcut), which

need to place a shortcut on your desktop.

  • Shortcut for the new window with several tabs

Is it possible to have a shortcut on the desktop to launch a new window with several tabs? For example - home page is set to "www.google.com", but the shortcut opens new window with tabs "www.cnn.com" and "www.youtube.com".

Then far,.../firefox.exe-nouveau-fenetre followed by the two URL in quotes will open two new windows. Entry - new-window "www.cnn.com" - new-tab 'www.youtube.com' will open two new windows if no instance of firefox is open, but if another window is already open, youtube will add a tab to the already open window, rather than the new window with cnn.com

In reply to myself... withdrawal-order new window (and-new-tab), now it works.

Looks like I'm too complicated it.

    shortened final was "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla ' 'url1'"url2.
