No data loaded in the cube

Hello

I created four dimensions, all validated, deployed and loaded successfully.

I created a cube and used a Carpenter to load the table keys. There a just measure, and I'm charging from another table.

I ran a query with a join condition (where clause) in Oracle SQL developer, it returns the desired result.
So I use the same join condition, in the cube.

the cube and the corresponding card is validated and successfully deployed. When I run the map, it inserts No., records in the corresponding table of the cube.

Please, help me to solve this problem.

Best regards

PS: I'm using OWB 11 g on SUSE 10.2

The process of loading in a cube do a join with the dimensions.

"D_DIMENSION_X"."DIMENSION_CODE" = "INGRP1"."D_DIMENSION_CODE" )

So, you may have no problem even if a dimension code is missing in the dimension table.
I had the problem with the time dimension (missing the id of the year for example) and it's very hard to find.

First of all, you must retrieve the generated SQL code:
Check in this article how to have the SQL (sql intermediate generation)
http://gerardnico.com/wiki/DW/ETL/OWB/owb_mapping_debugger

Then take the sql and run it by removing a dimension, see if you have data in your sql
and repeat the steps until you see the light.

Good luck

  • SQL * sequential data Loader in the treatment Record file?

If I use the will of classic way SQL * Loader process a data file in the order from top to bottom?  I have a file with header and the detail records without value found in the detail records that can be used to connect to the header records.  The only option is to derive a header value via a sequence (nextval) and then fill in the detail records with the same value from the same sequence (currval).  But to do SQL * Loader should treat the file in the exact order that the data has been written to the data file.  I read through the 11 g Oracle® database utilities SQL * Loader sections looking for evidence that this is what's going to happen, but have not found this information and I don't want to assume that SQL * Loader will always process the data file records in order.

Tried to put comments in the essbase outline and not to deal with all the questions. So question is make observations of EPMA to Essbase.

    2. we have some account in which are dynamic calc in EPMA. After deployment, the members come to Essbase as store.

Attempted to assign ownership of the data storage from the dynamic store Calc in Essbase outline, then checked and recorded. No problems were detected. It is by deploying of EPMA to Essbase.

    Raj,

If it works on apex.oracle.com (4.2) and not in your case (4.1.1), my suspicion is that this is a bug that has been fixed in 4.2 APEX. Apart from upgrading your version 4.2 of the APEX, I'm not sure that there is not really a viable alternative.

  • Essbase in MSCS Cluster (metadata and data load failures)

    Hello

Is there a power failure on the active node of the Cluster Essbase (call this node A) and the Cube needs to be rebuilt on the node of Cluster B, how the Cube will be rebuilt on Cluster Node B.

What will orchestrate the activities required in order to rebuild the Cube)? Both Essbase nodes are mounted on Microsoft cluster Services.

In essence, I want to know

    (A) Comment do to handle the load of metadata that failed on Node1 to Node2 Essbase?

    (B) makes the continuous session to run meta-data / load on the Second knot, Essbase data when the first node of Essbase fails?

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Kind regards

    UB.

If the failover product then all connections on the active node will be lost as Essbase will restart on the second node, just treat the same as if you restarted the Essbase service and had a metaload running that it would fail to the point when Essbase breaks down.

  • Is there a way to hide data from users in Cubes?

    Hi all

Is it possible that I can easily hide data of users. For example, in the cube XYZ, we have the data loaded through the year 2005. Is there a way for me to keep the data in the cube; However, just hide 2005 so that when users go they see not the year 2005. I know that we can define filters and then apply 'none' on some members. But the downside with it's data to the next level comes as no access and it is only when users drill down will they be able to see the data. To remedy this, is possible to hide the data with that of otherwise quite normal?

    Thank you
    Ted.

    Tedd

    It's my test.

    1. when all members are rolling up and not all are in the filter

    Product scenario
    Measures
    California year 200
    Year of the Oregon 200
    Access year West #No
    Year market access #No

    2. where the members are not rolling and rolling member of filter

    Market scenario
    Use the inventory of measures

Which proves so you are right.

  • date fill in the dimension with the correct values

    Hi all

I have a 'simple' problem, but can't get it resolved! The calculations of the CDA in the cube not 'reset' at the right moment in time (they should 'reset' on the exercise, but it actually seems to happen on the normal calendar year).

Our dimensions and cubes are MOLAP. There is a relational table that contains columns with values for both a calendar hierarchy as well as a hierarchy of exercise. This table tells the date dimension (only the tax hierarchy as MOLAP, we have just a fiscal hierarchy). The result seems correct in the data viewer.

The cube is filled with both relational sources. A perspective provides the measurement values and CODE (distinctive signs of business) values for each dimension involved. In the case of the date dimension, it provides the code for the involved level value in which we cube (months).

I made a very simple testcase with only 1 dimension (date) and 1 small cube. The cube uses only the dimesion of date (to load the cube on the fiscal hierarchy at the month level) and has 1 base measure that is loaded with a simple number and 1 calculated measure that calculates the value of the CDA for this basic measure. The calculated measure is added to the cube designer OWB by using the button 'generate calculated measures' and choosing the function 'Year to Date'.

When complete the cube and using the data viewer to verify the results, CDA values don't 'reset' at the end of the year. They seem to reset at the end of the normal calendar year!
After some tests, I have concluded that this has to do with the values I provide to fill the date dimension, but I can't figure out what should be the change, and I can't find examples anywhere.

Someone out there a calculation for a YEAR of work in MOLAP?

    Any help much appreciated.
    Kind regards
    Ed

    Hi Ed

It can be an inherent behavior of the time dimension in the AWs where the CDA on financial is not supported out of the box, see the OLAP thread below. Have you tried just build your simple case in AWM recreate? If you can get around using a custom expression, you should be able to define this custom OWB and still keep the design you have.

  • ODI - SQL for Hyperion Essbase data loading

    Hello

We have created a 'vision' in SQL Server that contains our data.  The view currently has every year and periods of Jan 2011 to present.  Each period is about 300 000 records.  I want to only load one period at a time.  For example may 2013.  Currently we use ODBC through a rule of data loading, but the customer wants to use ODI to be compatible with the versions of dimension metadata.  Here's the SQL on the view that works very well.   Is there a way I can run this SQL in the ODI Interface so it pulls only what I declare in the Where clause?  If yes where can I do it?

    Select

CATEGORY, YEAR, LOCATION, SCRIPT, DEPT, PROJECT, EXPCODE, TIME, ACCOUNT, AMOUNT

    Of

    PS_LHI_HYP_PRJ_ACT

    Where

    YEAR > = "2013" AND PERIOD = 'MAY '.

    Hello

Simply use the following KM to load data - IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA) - in an ODI interface that has the view that you created the Source model. You can add filters to the source which are dynamically by ODI variables to create the Where clause based on the month and year. Make sure you only specify a rule of load method to load the data into the KM

  • Ignore the ASO - zero data loads and missing values

    Hello

There is an option that ignores the zero values & the missing values in the dialog box when loading data in cube ASO interactively via EAS.

Y at - it an option to specify the same in the MAXL Import data command? I couldn't find a technical reference.

I have 12 months in the columns in the data flow. At least 1/4 of my data is zeros. Ignoring zeros keeps the size of the cube small and faster.

    We are on 11.1.2.2.

    Appreciate your thoughts.

    Thank you

    Ethan.

The thing is that it's hidden in the command Alter Database (Aggregate Storage) , when you create the data loading buffer.  If you are not sure what a buffer for loading data, see loading data using pads.

  • ASO Essbase - loading data to overwrite the existing values

I'm support ASO but does not know how he would "Overwrite the existing values" correctly.  I want it to work as BSO "crush."  Need help please, I am a newbie to ASO :(

    change the ASOAPP database. ASODB load_buffer to initialize with values of substitution of resource_usage 0.15 buffer_id 1 create slice;

    Thank you

Which only Initializes the buffer, it does not load anything (as I imagine you know, KKT).  Just to be the opposite, I would say the MaxL may be harder but gives you a better idea on how loading to ASO that the use of the Regional service.

To the OP, you are mixing two different command syntax.  'Substitution values' and 'create a group' syntax is part of the import , not the alter statement.

Suggest you read this article of technical reference: loading data using pads

Using tampons complicates slightly reproducing the behavior "crush."  You can choose multiple values loaded at the same intersection crash in the buffer zone, or in committing the buffer for the cube (or both).  BSO is not this distinction.  The substitution values clause controls what happens when the buffer is enabled for the cube, but by default multiple values at the same intersection in loading the buffer still the sum.  You can control what is happening to several values, hitting the same intersection in the buffer to aggregate_use_last / aggregate_sum buffer options in the alter statement.
