No icon menu in the Simulator

Hi all

I have just download the jde for eclipse plugin and I'm having some problems with it.

I can test several simulators, but I can't find the application icon in the main menu, or in the downloads folder. IM using jde 4.3 pack component to develop the application.

I've been reading around and I found things as uncheck "system module" or 'auto run when starting' but they were already disabled, also I saw a topic where the response was to decommission the jde component to version 4.1, but in my case im as a new version of the plugin that does not allow this.

Introduce you encounter this kind of problem? You have an idea?

Thank you very much

Bravo!

I got it at last. Some bloody subversion files are disturbing, the compiler, and this caused the cod is not loading properly.

Everything works fine now.

Thank you.

    I think you are saying that the application icon will not be displayed on the Simulator? If so, this can help (I had the same problem and what I did):

    1 assuming you are using Eclipse, just run the program (it will be forfeit and display an icon to load for a few seconds on the Simulator).

    2. then go to file-> load BlackBerry Application or theme on the Simulator.

    3 navigate to your compiled COD of the file, then open it.

    4 after a loading icon, the application should appear in the menu.

    If this does not work, try to close the Simulator and do step 1.

    I hope this will help!

  • Where is the Simulator puts my files?

    I use the 9800 Simulator.  I copied the code from the BOARD documents and he ran. The code is supposed to create a file on the blackberry file system called newfile.txt.  Because I do not use a real device, I expect this file to be created somewhere on my desktop computer instead.  But the search for my entire system.  Where the file is gone and what's his name?

    Here's the code that creates the file. (I left out the stuff to try-catch to simplify the example, but I used it in the test, and no exception is thrown).  I use Windows.

    FileConnection fc = (FileConnection)Connector.open("file:///store/home/user/newfile.txt");

    If no exception is thrown, then the URI is valid, but the file may or may not exist.

    If (! fc.exists ())
    {
    FC. Create(); create the file if it doesn't exist
    }

    OutputStream outStream = fc.openOutputStream ();
    outStream.write ("happy test".getBytes ());
    outStream.close ();
    FC. Close();

    There used to be an article about this, but I'm not.

    Here's a reference on the Internet which may help:

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/3504053/BlackBerry-Simulator-filesystem-where-is-it

    In any case, I recommend that you change your Simulator to use a directory of your SD card, and then you will be able to see the files.  Look at the menu of simulation (Windows menu above the Simulator, not the Blackberry menu) for more information.

    If you need more please ask.

    If you select that right click menu context then you block all images from this area and not a specific image, so do not use that.

    • Check exceptions in tools > Options > content: Load Images > Exceptions (for example sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net)

    You can use the following steps to check if the images are blocked:

    • Click on the "More information" button to open the "Page Info" with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
    • Go to the Media of the window tab "tools > Page Info.
    • Select the first link of the image and scroll down through the list with the arrow down.
    • If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.

  • HP Start Menu and the desktop icons for HP printer Diagnostic tools

    Hello world

    I have a HP Desktop F4440 all-in-one printer and I use the Windows XP operating system. I have all the scanning software and others installed from the original HP installation disk or updates from the HP Web site for this printer. Everything works very well at the moment, but there is a small problem. The HP icon shortcuts for the Menu start-up and functions for the printer changed to a generic icon at a time given to these two places after the software installation CD was used by me to install the printer programs or desktop icon HP to utilities "Diagnostic Tools HP printer" original. It works fine otherwise, when I want to go check something on the Tools of diagnosis HP printer or HP Solution Center, but the HP icon changed to a generic at a time for a reason unknown, inexplicable. I don't have no changes to my system until the problem occurred to my knowledge other casual upgrade for the operating system or install a new windows update or HP software updates or restart the computer, but some schooner point after one of these upgrades, HP put to date or restart the HP start menu and desktop icons time replaced by a generic.

    Can someone tell me how I can recover the original HP icon and get her back Amendment? It was an icon on the web since the HP printer Diagnostics utility or function is based on the web. Is there a way I can save a copy of just the file on my computer icon so that if it goes back to that generic again once I can more easily change what it is supposed to be? I thank very you much for your help and advice.

    Hi there yoseph13,

    What has happened to me too, but after a windows update. Half the icons on my desktop have been affected. I hope that this fix works for you as well. Right-click on the icon. Go to properties. Click Change icon. Select the icon and click ok then apply and ok again. If the icon does not appear, you will need to navigate to the folder of the software and select the application.

    Good luck!

  • icon does not appear in the Simulator

    Hi all

    I developed a Java midlet application in Blackberry file in Eclipse 3.6.0 and it works Simulator Blackberry 9800. However, the icon that appears in the Simulator is a default icon for BB but not the icon that I have included in the res img file. I tried with several sizes of icon as 80 x 80, 68 x 68, 48 x 36. but my icon still does not appear in the Simulator.

    I would like to have some advice from you on how to correct the situation.

    Best regards

    Nikorn L.

    Hello

    (1) resolution-> height-360

    width-480 app icon .png size 80 X 80

    (2) resolution->

    width-360 app icon size 53X53.png

    (3) resolution->

    width-320 app icon size 32X32.png

    It is desirable for the application icon size please use this same size

    step to add the application icon in the plugin with eclips

    1) took 2 pictures of the same size and just change the name (image.png and image_rollover.png) and keep it in res folder

    (2) open the App discriptor.xml add two images checked roll it on the image

    (3) save it and clean up the Simulator and run it.

  • Icon in the Simulator, no icon on Blackberry

    Hi all

    I recently started to enter the development of BB.

    I have installed the JDK, JDE, etc. and created found here simple HelloWorld example:

    http://www.DevX.com/wireless/article/27869/0/page/1

    I then tested the device Simulator, and everything went well.  I could see the icon and launch the program.  Great!

    Then, I wanted to test it on my Rogers BB Bold new with 4.6.0.125.  I installed the program via a JAD file, which worked.

    However, I have no icon to launch the program, as I did in the Simulator!  I looked everywhere and I can't find him.

    Any ideas?

    Additional info:

    If I look in Options > Advanced > Applications, my program is here.  However, if I try delete, it does nothing.

    With the help of 4.5.0.7 and j2sdk 1.4.2_18 JDE

    When I created an ALX and tried to install via the BB Desktop Manager, I get the error message: no additional applications designed for your device were found.

    Thank you!

    Quickly to the answers to some of your questions:

    First you should run a level more later from Java to the JDE 4.5.  See:

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/downloads/JDE.jsp

    I would recommend that you upgrade your Java, although in this case, I'm not sure it's important.  So I don't think this will solve your problem.

    Regarding your alx, unless you have installed the latest Office Manager (4.6) or an operating system for your device, you can load via the application loader.  Two possible corrections.  You can update the Devices.xml file to include the "BOLD" or to download and install DM 4.6.

    Here you can download the Desktop Manager 4.6:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

    However, these proposals will not help with your you see is not the icon.  I assume you looked in the downloads for it?

    Can I suggest that you download something on the Web and see if it works correctly - which will help us to work if the problem is with your BB or your Application.

  • Application icons 'involved' on the menu start - new windows 7 PC

    I just got a new HP PC Pavilion that came with Windows 7.  I've loaded my applications successfully and pinned several for my Start menu.  The third day, I noticed that the icons in the start menu display for misapplication.  For example, the Excel icon to Photoshop and iTunes, and Quicken icon shows Excel.

    I tried to restart the machine, no luck.  I have this marking everything and them pinned again, still have the problem.

    I noticed that applications that were not initially pinned to the start menu to display the correct icon.

    Hi Momstl,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    This can happen because of virus or spyware.

    Method 1

    Try to run a scan on the computer online and see if you still face the same problem.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

    If that is not enough then try Method 2

    Method 2

    Create a test user account and see if the problem persists.

    1. Open a user account by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.
    2. Click Manage another account.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. Click create a new account.
    4. Type the name that you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click create an account.
